Gabriella's Challange

** I don't own any of the characters except the Lopez family. **

The day had started early for Gabriella López. After taking her
daily shower, she headed downstairs to eat breakfast in the city
styled kitchen of her parents half of million dollar home in the
very wealthy suburbs of Southern California. Once she reached
her living room she had noticed a man sitting on the couch. She
suddenly forgot why she went downstairs and walked up to the
stunningly beautiful man. Needless to say, he was perfect in her
mind. He had to be at least six feet two inches tall, beautifully fit
body, and no hair.

"Hello, Sir? Can I help you?" She asked him.
"No. Your father is helping me. Thanks." He replied short and to
the point.
Confused as to how he knew her, she cocked an eye brow and
folded her arms. "Do we know you or something?"
"No. I'm here to steal your money but I wanted to ask your dad
for permission first." He answered sarcastically and very
annoyed.
"Ha ha. Aren't you the polite one. Well, I'll leave you two to your
business and get something to eat. Despite the fact that you are
incredibly rude, would you like something to drink?" She asked,
feeling her blood pressure go up.

Surprised with how honest she was, he nodded. She turned and
headed toward the kitchen.

"What an asshole." She muttered to herself as she reached into
the refrigerator for a bottle of water.
"Who's an asshole?" A voice asked.
"Oh, shit Adrian. You scared me," she said as she looked at her
older brother and shut the refrigerator door. "I was talking
about that man in the living room with dad. He's an ass."
"Who cares. Do you know who he is?" He asked as he leaned on
the kitchen counter, staring at his sister.
"I didn't catch his name." Gabriella replied.
"That's Dominic Toretto." Adrian said excited.
"Riight, and who's he?" She asked.
"He's a super hot street racer." He rolled his eyes, catching what
he said. "And I don't mean 'hot' as in sexy. I mean, he's popular
and everyone wants to be friends with him but only a few actually
get to meet him." He smiled. His eyes lit up as he explained to her
how important he was to the racing world.

Gabriella sighed and walked out of the kitchen, heading back to
the living room to give the bottle of water the rude man known as
Dominic Toretto.

When she returned, she noticed her father was there talking car
parts with him. She stood there patiently waiting for them to
stop talking. She felt really uncomfortable when her father finally
stopped talking.

"Hey, Nena." Her father said in his extremely strong Spanish
accent. "What can I do for you? Have you met Dominic?"
"Yes, we met. Here's your water, Mr. Toretto." she handed him the
cold bottle of water.
"Please," He stood up and took her hand. "Call me Dom." He was
stunned at how polite she actually was. "How did you know my
last name?"
She laughed. "Oh, sorry. My brother filled me in on who you were
and how 'important' you are to the racing world."
He smiled. "Did he? Well, that's very nice of him."
"Dispénseme un momento." Her father interrupted. "I have to make
a phone call. Don't let him leave, eh Nena?" She smiled and
nodded in reply.
"You can sit down now, Mr. Tor-I mean Dom." She motioned to the
chair he was once sitting in.
Before she could say anything, her cell phone began to ring.
"Excuse me a moment, will you?" She reached in the pocket of her
nicely snug jeans. After a few minuets, she hung up. "Sorry about
that. It was my boyfriend." She placed the pink phone on the side
table.
Dom didn't say to much. He just stared at how perfect she was.
Her sexy long brown hair that flowed perfectly down her back,
her well toned body and her pitch black eyes caught his attention.
He noticed her feeling uncomfortable and broke the silence. "So,
sorry about earlier. I didn't mean to sound like an asshole."
She smiled remembering what she had said earlier to herself.
"That's fine. I shouldn't have been so nosey. It was none of my
business."
"So, your brother knows who I am?" Dom asked as he crossed his
arms across his nicely firm chest.
"Yeah, he races cars like you. Maybe not as well, but he dreams.
It's nice to see him try." She smiled, remembering the trouble he
used to get into and the pain he used to put their family through.
"It keeps him out of the trouble he used to get into."
"Well, that's good to know. At least I know I have someone who
looks up to me." He chuckled and stared at her.
"Okay, I can't stand it any longer. Why are you here?" She smiled
and tucked her hair behind her ear waiting eagerly for a reply.
"Buying a car from your dad." He said.
"Ah, you just took all of the excitement away from that answer."
She sighed and sat down on the couch.
"Ha ha, well. I'm sorry." He looked toward the bay window as her
father walked in.
"About the car," her father said almost to where she couldn't
understand. "It's yours. However, there are a few problems with
it." He sat down at the table with Dom.
"Pardon me while I go find something more interesting to listen
to," She stood and walked over to the table to kiss her father on
the cheek. She turned to Dom and stuck out her hand. "It was a
pleasure to meet you, Dom. Good luck with your racing." He took
her hand and was surprised at how strong she actually was with
her grip.
"The pleasure's all mine." He said.

She headed back to the kitchen remembering how hungry she
actually was. After searching the kitchen, she found a plate of left
overs from the night before. She popped it in the microwave and
jumped on the "island" counter they had. When the timer went off,
she took it out and started eating it. After just a few bites of the
food, she started thinking about Dom. She was interested in him
and she didn't know why. She found him hot but not the kind of
way most of the girls did. She was infatuated with him. Her deep
thoughts were interrupted by two deep voices coming from the
foyer. She walked out to see who it was and it was Dom leaving.
"So did you sell the car, Papá?" Gabriella asked as she leaned
against the wall.
"Yes, I did. He's a nice boy." He smiled at his daughter. The "apple
of his eye". "How come you can't find a boy your age like him?
Someone who's 19 years old with a well balanced head on his
shoulders."
She rolled her eyes and smiled. "Oh, Papá." She laughed and went
over to hug him. "Go take your shower. You stink." Jokingly she
walked back to the kitchen.

Later in the day, she was outside washing her truck. Her nice,
1998 Blue Dodge Ram. She hated washing her car outside where
the whole neighborhood could watch her in her black Banded
halter top bikini she bought from Beach Sexy. While she was
rinsing her truck off, her brother walked out of the garage to
greet his friend, Shawn, who had been there for quite sometime
and she hadn't noticed him.

"Jesus, Gab. Can't you put some clothes on when you're going to
be in the front yard?" He frowned and put a towel over her.
"Please, Adrian. You wear clothes that are just as revealing.
Besides, I'm washing my truck and it's hot outside." She took the
towel off and set in on the lawn chair behind her. "Hi, Shawn." She
greeted his attractive, but very annoying and selfish, friend. He
was a tall, all-American, boy. About 20 years old and in love with
her.
"Hey, baby. You look great. As usual." He smiled and leaned in to
kiss her but she turned the hose on him. "Not cool." He frowned
and looked at his now drenched clothes.
"Seems pretty cool to me." She laughed and turned to turn off the
hose and put everything away. After changing his clothes, they
left to go to the movies with some new whores they met the night
before at a street race.
Gabriella was in her room changing and trying to make herself
more presentable, when her father walked into her room.
"Hey, Nena. Can you do me a favor? I have to go to work and I
don't have time to do it." He asked as she came walking out of
her bathroom brushing her hair.
"Sure, dad. What's up?" She asked.
"Can you run to Dom's house and give him they keys to the car. I
gave him the wrong one's and he's going to pick up his car
tomorrow."
"Sure." She said. Excited that she'd be able to go to his house.
"Thanks, Nena." He tossed the keys to her and headed out the
door. "See you later tonight."
"Oh, Yay." she felt the butterflies start in her stomach. She
hurried up and got all "dolled" up.
She searched around her father's office for Dominic's home
address but couldn't find it. She only found his work address. She
glanced at the clock above his office door. "It's 3:30. That should
be enough time." She said to herself and hurried out the door to
her truck.

She found the shop he owned and headed in. As she walked in,
she noticed an attractive girl working at the center diner. She
walked over to her smiling and looking around for Dom.
"Excuse me, Miss." She said kindly to the woman.
"Hello. What can I do for you?" The tall brunette replied with a
very beautiful smile on her face.
"I was looking for Dominic Toretto. Does he work here?" She
asked, hoping she didn't mess up the address.
"Oh, sure. Just a second." The girl turned to the office in the back
and yelled for him. "So, are you a friend or what?"
"Oh, I'm the daughter of Jack Lopez." She smiled and offered her
hand to the girl.
"Ohh," she shook her hand. "The man with the car." She smiled at
Gabriella. "I'm Mia Toretto. Dominic's baby sister."
"Well, it's a pleasure to meet you." There was a silence when Dom
walked out to see why his sister yelled for him.
"What?" He said not noticing Gabriella.
"This girl says she's the daughter of Mr. Lopez." Mia said.
"Oh, yes. Gabriella?" He asked.
"yes, that's me," She smiled almost forgetting why she was there.
"Uh, these are for you." she tossed the keys to him. "My dad gave
you the wrong keys."
"Thanks." He caught the keys and turned back toward his office.
Leaving Mia and Gabriella alone.
"Don't mind him. He's naturally rude." Mia said with a frown.
After what didn't feel like very long but was really about two
hours long, they forgot they had things to do. They ended their
conversations and Gabriella headed back to her truck when all of
a sudden, Mia called her name. Gabriella turned to see what was
up.
"Hey, why don't you stop by our house tonight for a BBQ?" She
smiled.
"Sure." Gabriella smiled and walked back to Mia for the address.
"See you later!" Mia waved and Gabriella got into her truck and
drove off.
"Dinner at The Toretto's? Aren't I the lucky one?" She laughed and
drove home to get ready.
