“You bit me!” Bo stared down at his hand, which was now bleeding freely from a set of teeth marksright at the junction of thumb and palm, shocked. “You bit me,” he repeated. “Oh shit, I am so sorry,” Jimmy gasped, staring wide-eyed at Bo’s hand. “Oh, shit...” Ever since the whole “werewolf” thing two months before, Bo and Jimmy had become
good friends. A lot of Bo’s friends had been horrified when he first came out and declared openly
that he was gay, but Bo was still popular, and he was still head of the wrestling team. He just
wasn’t a bully anymore, hung out with Jimmy and his ex-girlfriend a lot, and didn’t shower with
the other guys anymore. That was a can of worms he could live without. But this afternoon, Jimmy and Brooke had gotten into an argument over the fact that she
had made one too many comments about hypocritical fairies and closets. The argument had
quickly become shouting, then screaming, then Bo had been holding Jimmy back, trying to cut a
comment he knew his friend would regret later off by a hand over his mouth. The next thing Bo knew, there was a flare of pain, teeth embedded in his skin, and blood. His blood. “You better not have rabies, man,” Bo joked weakly, trying to stem the bleeding, and
hoping a reference to their own private inside joke might make him feel better. It didn’t. “No, not exactly,” Jimmy looked nervous. “Look. I am so sorry, but we really need to get
that cleaned up...” “Probably a good idea,” Bo muttered, still clutching at his hand. Jimmy grabbed Bo’s arm, and tugged him inside, and into the men’s washroom, sticking
Bo’s hand immediately under the running tap. Bo hissed in pain, wincing. “Sorry, I am so sorry,” Jimmy rambled. “Stop apologizing,” Bo insisted. “It was instinct, man. I should have known better. You
were a werewolf for awhile.” “Yeah.” Jimmy chuckled nervously. “I was.” Bo tugged his hand out from under the tap, and shook it a little, frowning when it kept
bleeding. “Shit. Hasn’t stopped.” Jimmy cleared his throat awkwardly. “The best way of stopping that is actually saliva.” Bo blinked at him. “Please tell me you’re kidding.” Jimmy took a deep breath, then shook his head. “God,” Bo groaned, wrinkling his nose in disgust. He then thrust his hand towards a
startled Jimmy, face set and determined. “Well? You bit me, you lick up the blood.” The other boy took a deep, steadying breath. “Are you really sure you want me to do
that?” Bo just wriggled his bloody hand. “You broke it, you fix it.” With speed that startled Bo, Jimmy snatched his hand, lapping at the blood in a most
canine fashion. Bo had, to be honest, been joking, but now he could only stare, transfixed, as
Jimmy’s tongue darted in and out of his mouth, red and glistening with Bo’s blood. It was like
Jimmy was taking Bo in, and he had to admit it - he felt weak at the knees. Jimmy was convinced that Bo had only been trying to kiss him because of the werewolf
charm thing. Bo had let him believe that, but in all reality, Bo had lusted after the slightly goofy
Bo for years before he went temporarily hairy. At last the floppy haired teen pulled back, licking his lips in a way that reminded Bo
heavily of a dog. “There. Stopped bleeding.” “So it has,” Bo squeaked. “I ah... I think I’m going to go home, now.” “Are you sure that’s a good idea?” Jimmy asked warily. “Yes,” Bo insisted. “I’ll see you tomorrow, Jimmy.” “Okay,” Jimmy said warily. “Be careful?” Bo blinked. “Okay...” “I mean it,” Jimmy insisted. “I’ll be fine,” Bo insisted. “What’s going to happen? Honestly?”~+~ Bo had strange dreams that night. He was running and running and running, dashing through the trees and over hills, down
ravines and through streams. It was unlike all his old nightmares, where he was always running
from something. This time, he was running to something. Tree branches were catching him, and once, he swore when it caught his eyelid, but none
of it mattered, he had to get to whatever it was he was headed towards. That was too important to
be left, whatever it was. All he knew was that he had to just keep on running, and running, and
running, until finally, with a gasp of relief, he found himself there, and collapsed, warm and safe. Strange dreams.~+~ Bo woke up slowly. He was warm, he was comfortable, and he felt more blissful than he
had in a long time. Snuggling a little closer to his warm pillow, he yawned, and opened his eyes. Then yelped, only to have Jimmy clap a hand over his mouth, as the other peered at him. “What...?!”Bo yelped against Jimmy’s hand. “It’s okay,” Jimmy shrugged. “You didn’t wake up naked. You might want to get your leg
out from between mine, though.” He added, flushing. Bo ‘eeped’, and backed up rapidly, falling with a thump out of the bed. “Oh.” Jimmy flushed, peering down at him. “Well, you were wearing a shirt, at least.” Bo yelped again, and yanked his shirt lower in an attempt to hide... everything. “What is
going on?!” “Can I see your hands?” Jimmy asked, holding out his own. Bo slowly held his hands up, shaking though they were. Jimmy peered at them,
thoughtfully, then groaned. Reaching over to his desk, he grabbed a pen, and held Bo’s right
hand firmly, drawing on his palm. “What are you doing?” Bo demanded, then stared down at his hand once Jimmy let it go.
“Why did you draw a star on my hand? Hey, are those burns? Or teeth marks? Or what... Jimmy?
The hell is up with my hand?” Jimmy groaned, and slumped back on his bed. “I am so sorry, Bo.” “Stop apologizing,” Bo answered, automatically. “What does it mean, Jimmy? Jimmy?” “It’s called the mark of the beast, Bo.” Jimmy said softly, holding up his own hand. He,
too, had a distinct star on his palm. “It means.. It means werewolf.” Bo chuckled nervously. “You’re kidding.” “No.” Jimmy rolled onto his side so he could look down at Bo, who was still slumped
down on the floor. “I’m not kidding. Jake’s death meant nothing. I’m still a werewolf. And
now...” “Don’t say it!” Bo hissed, clapping his hands over his ears. “I don’t want to hear it.” “Bo...” Jimmy tried again. “No!” he insisted. “I don’t want to hear it!” There was silence for a very long moment, just silence as the two sat, waiting. For
something. Anything. Finally Bo spoke, softly: “So what happens now?” “Now you hunt.” Jimmy shrugged. “During the full moon, that is. And you need to be
careful of blood, and... and don’t do what I did. Don’t bite people. And don’t challenge my sister
as Alpha. She doesn’t like it, even if it is a male position. “I can’t go home like this!” Bo protested. “It’s bad enough I had to tell them I was gay,
how do I explain I’m a werewolf?!” “You don’t,” Jimmy shook his head frantically. “You can’t tell anybody. It’s not exactly
normal, Bo!” “So what?” Bo hissed. “You bit me, and now I’m cursed! What else could become of
it?!” “You just can’t tell anyone!” Jimmy insisted. “You can’t expose us, Bo!” “Expose us?!” Bo repeated, snorting. “Us?! You make it sound like I had a choice, here,
Jimmy! And I didn’t, in case you’ve forgotten? You bit me, and now I’m stuck! I’m stuck as a
hairy beast once a month for the rest of my life!” “Actually, we really only hunt during the lunar cycle.” Jimmy cleared his throat.
“Technically, we can transform anytime we want.” “Great!” Bo growled. “So I can just kill you now!” He launched himself at Jimmy, who
let out a yelp, and tumbled backwards off the bed. Bo snarled and punched, letting out his
horrified rage out on the other boy, pounding and wailing, wanting to hurt Jimmy. Jimmy just let him pound for awhile, then surged up, flipping Bo onto his back, pinning
his legs with his own, and gripping his forearms, holding him down. Bo snapped at him, teeth flashing, and Jimmy rolled his eyes. “Biting isn’t really going to
harm me, Bo.” “It’ll hurt, won’t it?” Bo growled. “Beating me up isn’t going to change anything, Bo.” Jimmy looked mournful. “It never
helped before, did it?” Bo slumped back, closing his eyes and turning his head to the side in an unconscious
submission pose. “You have always ruined my life,” he muttered. “First you turn me gay, then
you turn me into an animal.” “I didn’t turn you gay,” Jimmy blinked. “I was just the one to figure it out.” Bo snorted. “Yeah... no. It’s all your fault. In grade seven, you were on the other team for
dodge ball, and I just kept trying to hit you, and you just kept skipping out of the way. Then when
I finally hit you, you just laughed, and headed over to the sidelines. Then you pulled off your
shirt, and just sat there grinning, no shirt on. It was the hottest thing I’d ever seen to that point.”
Bo shrugged weakly. “Ever since, women just don’t do it for me.” Jimmy blinked. “Seriously?” Bo nodded once. “Well. Oh.” Jimmy seemed rather to be at a loss for words. “I’m sorry?” “Stop fucking apologizing!” Bo hissed. “I hate it when you apologize! You know, I was
actually quite happy that you turned me gay, okay?! I wasn’t going to come out until we’d left
high school, but I’m glad you confronted me over it, all right? I was happy that you dragged me
into that stupid werewolf shit, because it was different. I got to spend a lot of time with you, not
having to insult you at ever turn and pretend. Hell, I almost got to kiss you! I don’t exactly like
this werewolf shit this time, but...” he took a deep breath. “It was an accident. Don’t apologize.” Bo looked away, staring self-consciously into the dark recesses under Jimmy’s bed while
its owner stared down at the other’s face, brows furrowed. “All right,” Jimmy said, slowly, “Then I guess I won’t apologize for this, neither.” He reached down to grip Bo’s chin, turning him to face him, then leaned down and very
firmly kissed his friend. Bo surged upwards into that kiss, almost desperately molding his mouth onto Jimmy’s
eagerly opening his mouth and enticing Jimmy into a deeper kiss, tongues twisting and dancing
as they battled for dominance. Using an old tried-and-true wrestling move, Bo flipped Jimmy, straddling him as he
devoured the other’s mouth, making the less-experienced, probably-in-over-his-head teen
whimper in the back of his throat. He clung desperately to Bo’s back and shoulders, nails raking
down his now-bloody and ribboned-shirt back, letting out a keening whine, gasping as Bo began
to trail little bites down Jimmy’s chin and neck. “You’d better tell me now,” Bo growled. “If you’re not serious.” “Maybe... maybe...” Jimmy panted, and Bo paused, peering down at him. “Maybe what?” Bo demanded. “Wolves... wolves...” Jimmy fought to catch his breath. “Wolves mate... for life, right?” Bo narrowed his eyes. “So you don’t want me forever, so you’re saying no?” “No...” Jimmy shook his head fiercely. “I just... just thought I’d point it out.” Bo smirked. ‘I’m not gay, but yay, go gay!’ Jimmy was not as straight as he’d been saying
now, was he? He bent back down, and dragged the flat of his tongue up Jimmy’s neck, who
shuddered. “Well? Stop or not?” Too sharp nails dug into Bo’s shoulders. “Don’t stop.” Pleased, the newest werewolf kissed the other fiercely, growling deep in his throat when
their teeth cut open their lips, tinting the kiss with fresh, sweet blood. Fumbling, Jimmy tugged off what was left of Bo’s shirt, dipping his head under to run
lips and tongue over Bo’s collarbone and chest. It wasn’t like he had a lot of things to compare
this experience to - actually, he had nothing to compare this experience to. The only person he’d
ever dated was Brooke, and well, after Joanie’s statements about safe sex and werewolves, he
had figured it’d be a good idea not to try anything. Now here he was, with the only person beside
his sister who wasn’t going to have any risk of being infected, and really, it wasn’t like he had
anything with a girl to compare this with, so who cared if his chest was flat instead of curved?
Who cared if when Bo slid against him, there was a hardness to his form that matched Jimmy’s?
Who cared if instead of plunging deep within someone himself, Bo was deep within him? Who
cared if it hurt at first, if it exploded into the sweetest, deepest, most powerful pleasure he’d ever
imagined? Who cared if sex for the first time for the first time was with another male, one who
sunk his teeth into his shoulder as he came, and didn’t even mind when Jimmy sunk his teeth in
too? And who really cared if Jimmy howled when completed, feeling like was about to shift into
wolf form, just from the sheer lack of control he felt at that experience? Finally, Bo rolled over and slid out. Jimmy moaned piteously at the loss of contact,
shifting and stretching. “Ooh...” he moaned. “My ass hurts.” Bo snorted. “You say that like it’s a bad thing.” “Ooh, no.” Jimmy argued, shaking his head as he curled up at Bo’s side, comforted by the
warmth flooding off him, by the arm Bo looped around his waist, tugging him close and
comfortable. “Definitely not a bad thing. I swear I haven’t felt that good in... um, ever?” Bo laughed. “Does that mean you understand the wolf compulsion now?” “Beginning to appreciate it, yeah,” Jimmy chuckled breathlessly, eyes at half mast as he
snuggled up to Bo. “Hey!” he perked up, suddenly. “What the hell am I supposed to tell my
sister?!” Bo yawned, tugging Jimmy closer. “Tell her the pack grew.” Jimmy snorted. “Yeah, that’ll go over well.” The older boy shrugged. “Oh well.” “Oh well.” Jimmy agreed. “I’m not sorry, by the way.” Bo just laughed.
