The Black Pearl - Somewhere in the Caribbean
“Yo ho, yo ho, a pirates life for me” Captain Jack Sparrow sang under his breath as he stumbled drunkenly across the deck, stopping when he hit the side. “I love that song”
“Aye sir” Gibbs said from where he sat on the floor, his back resting against the side.
Jack was more then a little surprised to see him there and had to grab a nearby rope to steady himself. “You should warn a man before jumping out like that mate”
“Jump out sir?”
“Yes - well…” Jack blinked and shook his head as though there was something in his ear. “As you were Mr Gibbs” he slurred, his voice lower, trying for an authoritative tone.
“Aye aye sir”
Jack tipped up his rum bottle, shaking it as though the rum could be hiding. “Why is the rum always gone?” Jack said and stumbled a little to his left and caught site of Gibbs still sitting on the deck. “Were you saying something?”
“Sorry sir? Oh yeah. I was just agreeing with ye sir. It’s a grand old song it is”
“We pillage, we plunder, we rifle, and loot, Drink up, me 'earties, YO HO.” Jack sang loudly then suddenly lost balance and fell down beside Gibbs laughing.
“I remember the first time I hear ‘er sir” Gibbs passed his rum to Jack. “A young lady, couldn’t have been much more then 12 at the time. Travelling over from England with her father she was.”
“You wouldn’t be talking about Miss Swan at all would you mate?”
“Aye sir. That girl knew more about Pirates then I did”
Jack laughed again, “The fine lady Elizabeth, she was quite the Bony Fire-breather wasn’t she”
They laughed heartily.
“Aye sir, but while you were trapped on the pearl, she handled the other ship like Davy Jones himself”
“Did she now?” Jack passed the rum back eying his old friend with caution.
“Aye sir” Gibbs swallowed the remainder of the rum, “Would we have a heading yet sir”
“No Blast it!” Jack was suddenly angry, “This damn compass isn’t working right.”
“Aye sir” Gibbs paused for a moment, “Still pointing towards Port Royal then sir”
“Aye, that it is mate." Jack wobbled and grunted to his feet and looked out at the open water, "Out there somewhere there's a cave full of Viking Treasure” Jack let his arms fly as he spoke, then became serious again, "And we don't know how to find it."
“The greatest treasure we've heard of in ages and we can't get to it till you settle with the woman you're in love with”. Gibbs found that surprisingly funny and expressed his mirth in long wails of laughter that echoed in the wind.

Port Royal
Elizabeth Swan lay on her large four-poster bed. It was still dark in her room, but she knew that the sun was up outside.
Soon she would be Mrs William Turner. Only a few month ago she longed to be with Will, body and soul. But now she felt…
“How do I feel?”, she said to nobody in particular.
Like one of those lions in that cage, she thought remembering a trip to the zoo when she was a child. Walking back and forth across the cage. Looking out...
longing to get out.
Longing for the long grass of it’s homeland.
Longing to hunt again.Longing to be free.
“Not just the Spanish Main, luv. The entire ocean. The entire wo'ld. Wherever we want to go, we'll go. That's what a ship is, you know.”
Elizabeth closed her eyes tight and tried to push the voice out. His voice.
“But it’s not the Commodore I’m marrying, it’s Will. My Dearest William”
“Ah, where is dear William?”
“Stop it! Stop it. Stop it. Stop it.”, she said to herself over and over trying to clear Jack’s voice from her head. “Will loves me, and I love him. Have loved him for so many years now.” Elizabeth sat up and pushed the warm covers away. “Will would never trap me like that, he loves me for who I am not just for who my father is or how I'll look on his arm.” Her mind floated back over the months. Jack had saved her life then used her as a human shield when threatened by her father.
His hands were so strong as he’d gripped her arms, one thumb caressing her breast.
“Sorry, couldn’t resist luv, but I can tell you‘re enjoying this; Just a little”
“You’re despicable” She'd said
“That wasn’t a no”, he’d whispered into her ear, his mouth so close she could feel his hot breath…
“Stop this”, she said again to herself as she practically lept out of bed. “No more, I’m marrying Will in 3 days and we’re going to be happy” She took a deep breath to steady herself. “I must think no more of Jack Sparrow, he is merely a childish fantasy. Jack is a rogue and a scalawag”, she pulled her robe tighter around herself.
And if he ever did take an interest in me, he’d only take my virtue for his carnal lust and toss me aside. To her vexation she felt her breath speed up and her body responding to these thoughts.
“No!”, Elizabeth yelled at the empty bed and briskly marched out of the room.
Later that day, dressed and more settled, she entered the Blacksmiths to find Will. His boss was asleep again, as always, and William sat by the fire hammering a long piece of metal that would soon be another of the beautiful swords hanging around the shop.
His hair was tied back loosely and he wore a white shirt and black pants. She could see the strap of his large leather apron. He looked so hansom, his muscular arm rising then plunging the large mallet down onto the sword, sparks flying.
Her breath caught in her throat as she watched him. How could I have doubted him, my feelings for him are as strong as ever. This is a good man… Elizabeth’s thoughts were interrupted when William suddenly turned around.
“Elizabeth! I knew it was you my love.” He dropped the mallet and swept her up in his strong arms. “Just think, in a few day’s we’ll be married”, he looked into her eyes, then his expression turned to concern. “Darling? What’s the matter?”
“Kiss me Will.” she breathed
“Elizabeth?”
“Tell me you love me, will always love me, then kiss me. Long and deep like you will on our wedding night.”
“Elizab…”, he was cut of as his lips crushed hers, taking her soft mouth as his own. His hands pulled her to him.
This is it, she thought as she gripped onto his shirt, This is what I’ve been longing for, not pirates but passion, desire, with my William.
“Then why are you not lost in his arms and his embraces; And instead thinking about how much you don’t want me?” Jacks voice again.
Elizabeth pulled away suddenly, her face flushed as she looked at Will, hoping desperately that he couldn’t sense her guilt.
“You should probably go now”, Wills voice was gruff. Elizabeth nodded and walked out.
She didn’t look back.
