Second Chances

All right, first off: I am SO SORRY that this took freaking forever to get posted! I had it written in a notebook probably within a year and a half of "Opportunity's" posting, typed within two or two and a half years... and then it languished as college decided that I would have no more free time ever. Finally I decided to just do what I could with it and get it out there, since people have actually been asking after it (which gives me such warm fuzzies, by the way... thanks, everyone!). And here it is. Finally.

This story is the sequel to "Opportunity." It will probably be useful for your understanding if you were to go read that first.

This story assumes that "Dead Man's Chest" didn't happen. I wrote it long before that movie came out.

Further warnings. This story is slash. I rather expect that most people in this fandom will be fine with that. ;) If you don't like the idea of two men passionately in love with each other, this story will not be your cup of tea. This story also contains character death (albeit in the background, not the story proper). Finally, this is a hurt/comfort story. Not your kink? You might want to find something else.

Oh. Also, the last third of this is pretty much just sex. I hope that no one minds. ;)
