“Ye know Lizzie you make it very difficult for me to leave this cabin in the morning,” his lips returned to hers, where they had been on and off for the better part of the last hour. He had kissed her good morning, and claimed he was heading to look over his ship before relieving Cotton at the helm… however, somehow, the ship had yet received any of his attention.
“By all means Captain Sparrow feel free to leave anytime.” She laughed up at him knowing full well that leaving was still not on his mind as she felt a certain part of his anatomy regaining its previous rigid condition.
“Believe me Lizzie, there will be no leaving right now.” He moved to kiss down her neckline and across her shoulder.
“You’ll get no complaints from me,” she spoke as she ran her fingers over his scarred back pulling him closer all the while.
“Ravenous.” He muttered as he continued his trail down to her breasts.
“Like you’re not?” she chuckled pulling his face up to hers.
“Peas in a pod, luv.” He claimed her lips yet again in a dominating embrace.
For the second time this morning, Jack had managed to get his bonny lass in a rather compromising position, not that she minded much. Most mornings had brought about the same effect on them, but something this morning just seemed to leave unspoken words lingering in the air. It was typical for Jack to wake first, finding Lizzie curled in his arms. He’d watch her sleep for a bit, basking in her beauty, before he would press a kiss to her cheek and nudge her awake. Time would then be spent enjoying each other before he set out to care for his ship and bark orders at the crew. A crew that currently wasn’t even a thought in the Captain’s mind.
As he slid himself inside her he whispered into her ear, “Mine Lizzie, all I want.” He always did. It was his way of making a promise he would never actually speak. Lizzie, of course, understood that. She understood everything Jack did. No one else could, but somehow Lizzie could decipher the true meaning from Jack’s confusing rambles.
“Always Jack.” She’d kiss him, urging him to continue and meeting him thrust for thrust until neither of them could think on their own. They were one entity, the yin to the others yang.
When the morning ritual had reached its pinnacle he would hold her for a little while before finally admitting to his responsibilities as the ship’s captain. He’d leave her lie, as she would frequently doze off for a short while before rising and heading out on deck to help out where ever she was needed; the perks of being the Captain’s most prized treasure.
When she finally awoke she swung her feet out of bed, she noticed a little knick-knack of sorts sitting on the deck. She rose to her feet and picked it up, laying it on the nearby desk before reaching to redress herself in the clothing Jack had so gentlemanly picked up for
her on his way out. Once dressed she had sat and picked up the trinket looking at it, she recognized it to be one of Jack’s many ‘effects’ as he liked to call them but she’d never really taken a good look at it. It was a red sculpture of sorts depicting a mermaid. It had a little string on it, so she thought it to have fallen off one of his belts as they had been discarded rather haphazardly the night before. She laughed to herself as she remembered how he had gotten them all caught around each other and had barely made it out of them alive, “Silly pirate.”
Figuring she could have some fun with him she grabbed her tri corn hat and headed for the wheel.

She strolled up behind him, the trinket in her pocket, “I have something of yours, Captain.” She mentioned as she passed him and headed to the side of the ship.
He merely turned his head at her statement, slightly baffled, but finished his conversation with Gibbs before turning the wheel over to him.
He walked up behind her, patting her on the bottom as he stepped beside her. “I can think of a few things of mine ye have Lizzie.” He smirked at her, before looking her dead in the eye, “But my intuition tells me its something else.”
“Aye. Quite an interesting something at that.” She raised her eyebrows at him.
He chuckled at her teasing, “Guess you found me Mami Wata charm, aye?”
“How did you, do you….” She sighed. “How do you always know everything?” She barked more agitated that he was as always a step ahead even when she wanted to tease him some.
“Simple, I’m Captain Ja.….” his words were interrupted by her hand as it pressed against his mouth.
“Really Jack,” she laughed. “I suppose I’ll be giving this to you then.” She handed it back to him somewhat upset that she didn’t get to torment him with it.
“If I tell ye about it, will it lessen your disappointment luv?” He asked as he tinkered with the figurine in his hand.
“Are you actually offering up a tale without provocation Jack Sparrow?” She smiled at him almost mocking him.
“Well if you don’t wanna hear it you could just say so.” He replied quick as a cat.
“Of course I want to hear it. I love your stories.” She leaned over and kissed him.
“Well Lizzie when you put it like that how can I refuse? Aye?”
“You can’t. Now tell me, why do you have a fertility charm?” She asked gently poking him in the ribs.
“What makes you think that?” He asked.
“I read in a book somewhere that a mermaid symbolizes fertility.”
“Oh.” He thought about it for a moment, “Well this particular one is not so much a charm for fertility as it is a charm of protection,” he paused looking at it briefly. “You see Lizzie, African folklore uses the color red to symbolize a man. Blood, to be more specific. The violence, the destruction, the carnal cravings for the flesh,” he snarled his last words into her ear enticing her to chuckle at him.
“So it symbolizes you as a pirate?” She alleged, always wanting to make sure she is following his tales.
“Let me finish.” He pressed a kiss to her neck and positioned himself behind her wrapping his arms around her waist. “Mami Wata is said to take human form from time to time.” He spoke his next words as if he was somewhat hesitant to state them. “Lizzie I think you may be my Mami Wata, as it were.” He thought for a moment as if he was trying to tell her something. He focused his eyes in the distance.
“Jack, what is it?” She turned to face him suddenly concerned by his mannerisms.
“Nothing Lizzie.” he paused again searching for the right words, “When the Mami Wata takes human form, she seduces a man. Then she makes him vow faithfulness. If he does, he’s rewarded in his life; he lives a good life. If he doesn’t…” his eyes turned grave for a moment “he’s punished.”
“Punished how?” Lizzie was slightly confused now.
Jack looked around, feeling the need for caution “She takes away all she has brought to him as well as cursing him with impotence,” he shuddered at the thought.
She couldn’t help but laugh at him.
“S’ not funny!” He defended almost hurt.
“Jack, yes it is!! You basically just admitted that you carry that thing around with you to stay in the good graces of a god that could prevent you from having your way with dozens of…” She stopped her statement as she saw the seriousness in his eyes and began to understand what he was trying to tell her.
“Guess you can have ‘er now as I won’t be needing it anymore.” He stated as he placed the trinket in her hand, knowing full well that she was realizing what he had just admitted.
If she was his Mami Wata, she could take everything from him if he was unfaithful. In his own unique way Jack Sparrow had just pledged his fidelity to her, admitted that she brought him a good life and that he would do anything to prevent her from taking it away. A tear welled up in her eye as she embraced him. She met his lips with an urgency she’d
never known before. Sweeping her tongue through his mouth to rediscover the man who had yet again proven to be as unpredictable as the sea he cherished.
He pulled away briefly. “If I’d known this would be my reward I would have told you long ago Lizzie.” He smiled at her. “Lets go back to the cabin.”
“Ye know Lizzie you make it very difficult for me to leave this cabin in the morning,” his lips returned to hers, where they had been on and off for the better part of the last hour.
