HALF TRUTHS
*"So me crew and I took to long boats and headed for the shores of Eiland Verkeerd, completely unaware of anything that may inhabit the strange island no one had ever seen before."*
* *
*"But your compass led you to it for no apparent reason?" She asked
disbelievingly.*
* *
"Aye. Something told me we would find treasure there, after all there
isn’t much else I wanted at that point. And being the pirate that I am
who was I to argue with the something telling me to go there. Especially
when me compass was so insistent and rarely wrong." He raised his
eyebrows and smirked at her as if trying to prove his point, "So we
walked up on the beach and headed inland. Following what appeared to be
a hidden trail through the trees." He stretched and moved to a little
while he thought. "Anyhow after days of trekking inland and…"
"What did you eat for days?" She asked interrupting.
"Fine it was a few hours," he smirked at her, "must you always Lizzie?"
"Aye. I want to hear the true story Jack not some outlandish tale you’ve
concocted over the years." She kissed him encouraging him to continue.
"And you will get that luv, but you must stop interrupting me." He poked
her in the ribs tickling her a bit and eliciting a laugh from her, "you
know the punishment for interrupting the captain."
"Aye." She kissed him "my apologies captain, do continue,” she giggled at
him.
"By mid-afternoon, we had encountered quite a few wild animals but had
yet to find any other inhabitants. Feeling confident we were the only
people on this island we entered a cave we had discovered hidden under
some brush. Some of the crew were hesitant to enter but the need
to find some shiny pushed them onward. We wandered through this maze of
a cave for what felt like eternity, finding all sorts of dead animal
bones, nothing resembling a human but many appearing to have been reindeers,
wasn’t very reassuring I tell you. If an animal cant find its way out
odds aren’t very likely a human could eh?? So we entered into a darker
cavern and this member of me crew – I don’t recall his name, only that
e’ had a googley eye - walked on ahead. Suddenly he went running off in
some bizarre direction when a bat flew over his head." He laughed to
himself. "Ran smack into a wall and fell backwards."
"He ran into a wall! Jack that’s absurd."
"No luv, more lucky as it were, as the wall suddenly moved."
"It moved?" She asked suddenly enthralled with his tale.
"Aye was some kind of secret passage. So we ventured into it of course
and came to find a treasure chest. With nothing on me person small
enough to pick the lock I sent one of me crew to grab one of the bones
we’d seen earlier. After some time I whittled it down some and picked
the lock."
"What was in the chest Jack?"
"Well to our disappointment, nothing. It was empty. Apparently someone
must have found the place before. So I took me reindeer bone, as it did
put a good deal of time into it, and left with me crew."
"Jack, you spent all this time looking for a treasure and found an empty
chest?" She giggled.
"Ok it wasn’t empty. Found a decent amount of coin which we split up and
spent right quickly on pleasurable company in Singapore." He smiled at
the memory. "Figured I’d be safer to omit that part."
Elizabeth frowned, "You found some coin and spent all of it on that?"
"Aye, and rum. Lots of rum." He smiled confidently.
"Jack you truly are…."
"Irresistible?" He interrupted before moving to kiss her.
It didn’t take long for the kiss to develop into something much more
satisfying, as Jack’s bedtime stories all seemed to end the same way.
Not that Lizzie was going to object. There was something extremely comforting
that came from lying in his arms and hearing him speak to her of his
past, even if she didn’t believe everything all the time. If it was
something really important he was sincere. But right now all that
mattered were his lips that were currently pressed against hers robbing
her of breath and igniting her womanly needs.
He pulled away briefly to look into her eyes, the interest in his story
having suddenly disappeared. "Ye know Lizzie I’ve managed to stock up on
a lot more rum since you’ve been around." He smiled at her trying to
endear himself to her before he spoke again " But then again I’m always
concerned that you’ll destroy it…." She playfully smacked him in the
chest, "Ouch. Damn woman, I was merely pointing out that I spent more of
me booty on rum these days since I have the pleasure of sharing your
company."
"Jack" she kissed him, "Please…shut up" She met his lips again with a
dominating kiss.
"Gladly" he smirked at her as he flipped her onto her back and
positioned himself above her.
His lips trailed the all too familiar path from her lips, across her jaw
and over to her ear. He’d mark her next and whisper sweet nothings into
her ear: reminders of his love for her.
When he least expected it, she flipped him to his back taking over,
eliciting a dangerous smirk from her Captain which quickly transformed
into a blissful grin when he felt her mount him.
"Feisty tonight are we Miss Swann?" he asked gently brushing his hand
across her breasts as she moved above him.
"Mmm…merely going after my hearts desires Captain." She leaned in to
kiss him.
Talking ceased, as their tongues were too busy exploring each other’s
mouths and bodies. They never seemed to tire of these antics, ceding
control back and forth until they each had reached the pinnacle of their
desires and lay breathless in each others soothing embrace.
"Ye know Jack as irresistible as you may be, I still don’t believe a
word of that story."
"Why not?" He questioned feigning hurt.
"Because reindeer do not enter caves."
"Would ye believe me if I told ye I killed the reindeer, ate ‘im, used
the bone to pick my teeth while walking through the cave and then picked
the lock?"
"No," she laughed tiredly.
"Fine. I did find a chest in a cave that was hidden in a passage and
I did pick the lock. The bone has nothing to do with any of it. I found
it on the shore of a beach in Madagascar while I was there engaging in
some rather piratical adventures, savvy?"
"Ah so you were there wooing some wenches after you found the treasure
chest." She stated rather confident in her assumption.
"Aye." He kissed her. "Ye know Lizzie I think I liked you better when
you believed all me stories to be true."
