Disclaimer: I own nothing of these characters. I've pilfered them for a little lighthearted fun. Don't sue...I'm a poverty-stricken student with a disabled mother and two children. You wouldn't get anything except my misery and, to be honest, I may thrive on that. The characters belong to Disney, etc.
Pairing: Barbossa/Jack, Will/Elizabeth
Characters: Jack, Hector, Tia Dalma, Anamaria, Will, Norrington, Elizabeth, many of the cast and crew…and a few OC
Time Line: Year One is when Jack and Hector started sailing together, when Jack was twelve. Year Twenty-nine was when the events of COTBP take place. From my reckoning, DMC was six months later. If that’s so, then Jack’s death was Year Thirty. Six months until Jack is rescued from the Locker and six months more to cover the ground of AWE and its immediate after-time. That makes Year Thirty-one. This story will cover ground from Year 1 to Year 31. This makes Jack 43 and Hector 46---even as Jack doesn’t look his age and Hector looks older than his age.
Spoilerage: The war with the EITC is over, Norrington’s dead and so is Beckett and Governor Swann, Calypso has been freed, and the Black Pearl is tentatively sailing under two captains. Will Turner is the captain of the Flying Dutchman and Elizabeth is at loose ends.
Summary: Part 1: Before she was released from her fleshy bonds, Tia Dalma whispered to Barbossa that she was leaving him a treasure---if he dares to take it. She even told the Captain the when and where to be. It sounds like madness, to go watching for a ship wreck that hasn’t even happened yet. As the Pearl is heading home, the goddess’ promise comes true. But, on this lost ship, there waits something more precious than treasure and nigh impossible to win.
Part 2: Barbossa has marooned Jack in Tortuga and thinks he’s headed for the Fountain of Youth, but his crew has other ideas. Their gunner’s mate has probably got a lot to do with the crew’s plans---but, then, she comes by her deviousness in an honest way.
There will be flashbacks, all along the timeline.

Well, maybe a little pussy jack…cause he’s wonderfully emotional. it's awesomely angsty, but damn, the shit I take from hector barbossa over it. lol. it's not a good thing to be reading your brand-spanking new book about captain henry morgan at one in the morning and suddenly hear barbossa in your brain chiding jack sparrow:
'jack, I always knew ye were a pussy, lad...missy has th' right o' it, but don't ye think it would be more manly o' ye to force her to think o' ye as a real pirate an' not one as what runs from a fight an' goes all womanish ev'ry time th' wind blows up yer skirts? And I'm sure those underpants ye wear are for wenches.'
