Distress
Distress.
In Tortuga's local inn, a groan could be heard from a small room before more arguing was to be heard. If you were to enter the room, you would be greeted with a unfamiliar sight to locals in Tortuga. There was of course a pirate present, but within the room was also the daughter of the Duke, Aden Winsted. What made the scene weirder, was the fact that the woman was dressed in pirate fashion, shoving her finger into the man's chest.
"Benjamin! You will not even dare think about taking me back!" Aden yelled, frustrated, "What has you spooked? No, never mind! I can take care of myself. Leave, Benjamin." Stormy blue eyes set hard as stone on her companion of the past week.
Benjamin shook his mane of dirty blond hair before sighing heavily and tossing a small leather bag over. "As you say, Aden. Just... Keep your wits and don't go off and do something bloody idiotic, aye?"
Aden grabbed the bag mid air, as her eyes soften to soothing waves of sapphire. "Why would you expect me of all people to go and do something addle?" She smiled as she spoke before her smile wilted lightly. "I'll miss you, Benny." He had started walking away, but as Aden used his nickname, he turned slightly and looked back at her with a wink.
"Who says this is the end, lass?" With his last words, he walked out closing the door behind him. Aden grinned and pocketed the pouch, before tossing herself on to the small bed. Her light brown hair fanned out beneath her as she began to speak to herself.
"Now that Benny taught me all the basics on being a pirate and had me on grueling work for a week, I know I can do this. I just hope no one can tell who I am." Aden bit
her lip in thought before shrugging. "Oh well, what am I famous for? Being reckless. First thing tonight, I'll go out to find a crew to join." After this was said, she rolled over and fell asleep, knowing she would be woken up by a-- certain alarm, later in the day.
Drunken shouting and loud movement could be heard by the sleep resident in the inn above the bar, with a small yawn, the woman awoke to the dreadful sounds. Recognizing the noises, Aden jumped up and grabbed her worn coat before adjusting her bandanna in the dirty broken mirror. With a smirk, she tightened her coat around her before exiting the room, walking down the worn, cracked stairway. The smell of hard liquor and vomit filled her nose as she hit the bottom of the stairway, the first day she had not managed to hold her disgust in, but now she was well adjust and would help herself to some rum every now and then. Not many eyes turned to take a glance at the new occupant of the room, but those who did were shocked to see a woman in Tortuga within pirate wear. Aden hardened her eyes, just as Benjamin had told her to do, and many of the men turned around back to their women and alcohol. Strolling over to the bar, she pushed her way into the front and spotted a tall red head woman with her back to her. "Aye, Scarlett!" Aden called loudly over the brutal chattering. Aden had met Scarlett, the first day Benjamin had brought her to Tortuga. Apparently, Scarlett had quite the fancy for Ben, so Aden got along well with the woman.
Scarlett turned around and nodded at Aden, "What can I getcha, Aden?"
"Ah, I don't want anything tonight, lass. I just wanted to return these keys to you." Aden said as she pulled the keys out of her pocket and throwing it back to the woman. "I'm leaving tonight, Benjamin has already left, so you don't have to worry about him trashing the place anymore." She smirked and gave her a small salute before heading out of the bar. Aden had almost made it out the door, but as she passed a huge table of men, she felt a hand make it's presence on her bum. She whipped around and before he knew what had happened, she had a knife at his throat. The man would have been quite handsome, had his hair not been so greasy, but she didn't care if he was the best looking lad, she ever laid eyes on. "Do it again, and I'll make sure you'll never be able to say another word in your life. Savvy?" When the man made a slight nod, she rolled her head back a little, watching him before pulling the knife back and placing it back in it's place. "Lovely." With that, she finally made her exit out of the bar. Once she exited the horrible place, Aden started laughing to herself as she put as much space between herself and the bar again. When she stopped laughing, she noted the footsteps behind her. Aden made a 'hm' face before turning around to face the person. What she wasn't ready for, was the person to be two inches from her face. "Could you give me some space, mate?" She asked as she took a step back, analyzing the man as she did. The man's dark chocolate hair seemed to be in dreadlocks, which was covered by a bandanna and hat. His face seemed worn, but his eyes were full of humor and wit.
"It was you, who thought it smart to stop mid stride, lass." He answered, to her. Aden rolled her eyes and just shook her head.
"Yes, because it's just my fault." She said, before looking at him. "And what were you doing following me?"
"I was not following you, merely walking behind." The man said before continuing. "I was wondering where you learned you impressive knife skills. By the way, I'm Jack Sparrow. Although, I'm sure you've already heard of me, Aden."
[An:] This isn't as long as I wanted it to be, but you take what you can, right? This chapter is REALLY confusing, because I was trying to get the scenery and everything out of the way, along with trying to get Jack introduced to Aden.

But anywho, how do you like the story so far? How does Aden sound to you? Review and tell me what you think, people!
