In my Image
I landed on my feet and grabbed Mary, pulling her into the building we fell from before the first rays of light could touch me. "Mary, why?"
Mary raised her head higher and glared at me. "I am Mary Van Helsing, and you killed my father. I am obligated to continue his work."
"No you're not. That's the wonder of it. You had never met him, so why should you worry about him? I'm offering you eternal life." I explained, at a loss to see why she would not choose the path I offered.
"At what cost? My soul? That is too high a price for me to pay." Mary said. "My soul belongs to God. I will not give it to you."
"My blood runs through your veins Mary. Whether you like it or not, you're mine. You always will be." I said coldly. "You have your precious father to thank for that."
"I don't care whose blood I have in me, you can't have any of it." Mary said. Suddenly, she was trapped in my arms, with my fangs at her throat.
"When did I say you had a choice?" I asked, snickering against her skin.
"You released me. You set me free." Mary whimpered, struggling against my powerful arms. "Let go of me. Now Dracula."
I laughed quietly, and inhaled the scent of my blood through her skin. "What's to stop me from taking you Mary? From making you one of my brides. You and your friend Simon disposed of my others readily enough."
"St..stop it." Mary whimpered.
"I don't think I will." I whispered. I turned Mary in my arms and kissed her lips, savoring the flavour. She stood still, her lips unresponsive. I let my tongue dart out, tasting her. I swore that I would have her for my own, completely. I kissed her neck, sucking and licking the spot until a spot showed up there. I then plunged my fangs into the spot, taking the briefest taste of her blood.
"NO!" Mary gasped in surprise, and I let her throat go.
"Very well." I released my hold and she stepped out of my reach, one hand massaging the mark I had made on her. "That will not fade Mary, until you have joined me truly. I will allow you to leave now, but you'll return. Everything I am is yours. And all you are is mine." I said the words to her once again, and then I watched as she ran away from me. "Farewell, Princess."
