Life of Sstinger

I do not own Aliens or Predator, this story is entirely fan made and is in no way associated with the creators of either films. It is made purely for entertainment purposes..

This first chapter is just a prolog, detailing all the units that pop up in my story so you can get a better detail on who I’m talking about when I mention them. Next chapter will be the actual storyline. To make it more interesting, these characters are described as if looking on a human data report….

Major Characters:

Sstinger: Sstinger is the main anti-hero of the story. All he wants is to prove himself a valuable member of the Hive. Except he has a few defects that he inherited from his host such as his enormous streak of lust. Now in addition to serving the queen, he must find a way to slake his urges without endangering both himself and the hive.

Ravage: The sister of Sstinger, she hatched at the same time as the horny drone and took a host almost the exact same time. Sadly, she's a Runner, but that doesn't stop her from trying to help keep her brother in check while performing her Hive duties.

Tod: Tod holds a very small role and is only briefly mentioned in flashbacks during the story. Apparently he was Sstinger's host and had a rather large reputation for being a pervert and a player. Some of that was genetically transfered into Sstinger which makes him what he is now.

Dr. Kliener: The current head researcher into the Xenomorph Hive. She is somewhat fascinated with Sstinger and seeks to use him as her top research project into the effects that a host might have on it's xeno. Secretly she is also trying to harness his lust and see if she can use it to cross breed Xenos with humans to create super soldiers.

Xenomorphs: Also simply known as Aliens, their youthful stages appear to be parasitic, requiring a host to further progress in life. We call their first stages, the Face Hugger because they latch onto a victim’s face and then impregnate their chest cavity with a Chestburster, the Face Hugger dies almost immediately after impregnation, or several minutes later depending on the individual. We have invented special surgical procedures to remove a Chestburster, but if it is not removed within an hour or so after impregnation, it will wake and force it’s way out of the host by eating away the chest cavity from the inside. This process is 100% fatal every time because the Chestburster ravenously devours everything from muscles, organs, and even bone in it’s attempt to free itself from the host. Chestbursters look like long snakes usually 7 to 10 feet long while face huggers resemble spiders in a sort of way. Xenomorphs have two jaws, one set being directly behind the first set and appearing to be at the tip of the tongue, this tongue is extremely power and by using the jaws, can pierce a human’s skull in one strike. Xenomorphs can also clime walls with their claws as well as inject a powerful neurotoxin through their stinger tipped tails which paralyzes victims almost instantly but does not seem to be fatal. It is believed to be used as a capture method.

Shortly after, the Chestburster goes on a rampage of devouring any animals it can get a hold of before molting into one of the below explained breeds. Regardless of breed, all Xenomorphs have highly acidic blood which is extremely dangerous even in small doses, it is advised to kill them at long range to avoid being splattered by this blood. It is unclear exactly how breeds are determined for Aliens, but it seems that their breeds occur most commonly depending upon the host they choose to impregnate. This leads to believe that they absorb certain genetic traits while impregnation is occurring.

Aliens lack any sort of weapons technology, relying entirely on their own bodies to fight, due to this, they have evolved to super-human levels, able to leap nearly 10 yards in a single bound, and even being able to rip open magnetic steel doors in a matter of minutes. They don’t seem to have any sort of eyes, yet we have determined they are capable of seeing, and can even see perfectly in the dark, we believe it is due to an extremely acute sense of smell, rather than actual sight.

Drone: The most common version, Drones are created when a Face Hugger latches onto a human. They are sleek, jet black from head to toe, and generally lacking in intelligence, but driven to primal instincts that cause them to outwit even trained marines simply by acting on impulse. They like to either attack in large numbers or from the shadows, extreme caution is advised. Drones are tasked with taking prisoners for impregnation as well as defending the hive like shock troops. They naturally secrete a special resin which is incredibly durable and sticky in order to cocoon prisoners while they await for an egg to hatch and a Face Hugger to impregnate them. They can move on two legs to strike with their claws, teeth, and venomous tail, but they move much faster on four legs. They are usually quite strong, requiring several high caliber rounds to bring down. Shotguns seem to work best against them, but assault riffles are good too.

Because there is only a single queen to each Hive, and there are so many drones per hive, it is believed that Drones are either an entirely male breed, or that most female Xenomorphs are sterile and only a lucky few ever become queens.

Runner: Usually acting as scouts or assassins, the Runner seems to occur most commonly in animal hosts instead of humans. Most commonly taking dogs and horses to be their hosts before molting. Runners are usually peach in color, like a white human, but are considerably smaller and weaker than drones. However, despite their weaknesses, they are extremely fast, able to outrun any other breed, and even most of our military vehicles with ease. Luckily, they are restricted to moving on all fours, meaning they have to be directly next to you to strike with their claws, but they can strike overhead with their tails similar to scorpions… If you can manage to avoid their speed, this breed is easily taken down even with mere pistol fire.

Praetorian: If you ever find yourself going against a Xenomorph, pray you do not meet one of these! Praetorians are like a male version of the queen, they stand tallest of all the breeds next to the actual queen, and their bodies are so durable that you require armor piercing rounds to be able to damage them, making pistol fire as well as most casual guns completely worthless against them. On the plus side, due to their enormous size, they can not climb walls, nor can they perform the dreaded leaping ability. They are used primarily for slaughtering in massive quantities rather than tactical advance. It is unclear what host creates them, but it is believed that a Drone might have a possibility to further molt into one of them, although we still have no confirmation. Another source suggests that Praetorians are simply queen breeds who were born as males instead of females.

Queen: The highest rank, Queens are almost never seen in combat unless the Hive is seriously in trouble. They look almost identical to Praetorians except nearly twice their size! They also seem to have an extra pair of arms on their chest, much like female breasts found on humans, except these arms are small and generally worthless of practical use. Queens have no wall climbing or leaping abilities, and due to their massive size, they usually stay in the deepest part of the hive, constantly laying Face Hugger eggs. Most queens mate only once and then spend the rest of their lives laying eggs from a massive Ovipositor which forms beneath them. However, in times of combat, the Queen can forcibly detach herself from this organ and take part in battle, although she must breed again to form a new one. Queens are considered a top priority subject and should be taken alive if at all possible. She also seems to have limited telepathic abilities to control the hive as a single unit. It is unknown what host makes a queen, but unlike the assumed praetorian breeds, they don’t seem to start off as drones, but instead are born directly as queens after their Chestburster molting. Due to their immense size and durable hides, even armor piercing rounds find it difficult to harm her, most queens seem to be terrified of fire and explosions, however. Although their tails might hold the same neurotoxin as the other breeds, their massive size makes their tails nearly three times as long and thick, most strikes from a queen’s tail results in a full impalement of the victim instead of a sting…

Pred Alien: The rarest breed ever, even rarer than the queens is the Pred Alien. A Face Hugger who by some miracle, impregnated a Predator will spawn one of these abominations. Pred Aliens hold no allegiance to either the Hive, nor Predators, they seem to be completely driven by instinct and a lust for destruction. Their claws seem to be even sharper than a typical Xenomorph while their heads resemble a Predators, lacking the secondary jaws it can not use their skull bite attack. Their tails also seem to hold a deadly venom, slowly killing it’s target if an antidote is not administered within a matter of hours. Pred Aliens have physical might that is just unreasonable due to having both an alien body and genetic traits from the dreaded Predators, they have the most powerful leap, able to pounce nearly 60 yards in one leap and they can also climb walls like drones and runners, but tend to strike with silent efficiency rather than blind hunger. They are considered a rogue breed, killing everything in their path until they themselves are killed.

Synthetics: the Synthetic Androids, also called Artificial Humans are a race of machines designed to look and act perfectly like humans. They come in two varieties which are civilian types and Soldier types. Civilian types are perfectly flawless in human mimicry while the soldiers are more geared towards simply looking like humans and fighting rather than actually behaving like them. Synths have white colored blood and because they are machines, they are incapable of being impregnated with Chestbursters, thus making them invaluable soldiers in the marine core due to not fueling the hive if they are captured.

Being machines, Synthetics are far more difficult to kill, able to continue functioning long past the point where humans would have died from blood loss or shock, even being able to survive dismemberment. It is believed the only way to truly kill them is with the destruction of the head, as that is where their CPU is stored. Because they give off no body heat or life signatures, the Synths are capable of moving around Xenomorph eggs without causing them to hatch at their presence, thus making them ideal for egg capturing units as normal humans are usually attacked the very moment their life signs are detected by the Face Hugger eggs.

Although classified as machines or robots, a Synth’s body is made entirely out of synthetic parts, thus giving it the ability to flex and mold it’s appearance like that of a human’s skin and also giving them a soft and yet firm texture similar to skin. Unless a human knows ahead of time, it is virtually impossible for them to detect that they are dealing with a Synthetic and not one of their fellow humans.
