In the Dark
Title: In the Dark
Author: RockabillySaint
Pairing: Batman/Gordon
Warning: Slash, some spoilers. Don’t read if you haven’t seen it yet.
Summary: It’s all about trust now.
Note: Okay so Batman/Gordon is basically canon. Come on, the end of TDK just solidified it. So I had to write this - I hope you enjoy :)

Gordon sat in his living room, slowly nursing a scotch. The house was empty, dark. No lights. He hadn’t bothered since Barbara took the kids to her sister’s in Metropolis. He couldn’t blame her, but that didn’t stop it from stinging.
Something about the dark calmed him, although that could have been the alcohol. Gotham may be dirty, rotting, but it was never dark. Always lights enough to see what really went on in back alleys, to see the silhouettes of bickering couples through curtains. Gordon took another drink. Sometimes he wondered why people stayed here at all.
“Because they believe things will get better.” Gordon jumped slightly at the voice before recognizing the gravelly timbre. He felt somewhat embarrassed - he didn’t mean to speak his thoughts.
Gordon’s eyes focused on where he thought Batman might be. He took another sip of his drink. He heard Batman shift in the dark, walk closer. He supposed the man was doing it on purpose, to put him at ease. Without thinking Gordon let his hand slip over the side of the couch, raising it to hang in the air. He hadn’t expected Batman to grasp it, more gentle than Gordon would have given him credit for.
“I’m sorry.” It came out of Gordon’s mouth before he could stop it. Batman squeezed his hand. “For what?” The older man sighed, and stared up - he could almost make out Batman’s eyes in the dark. “For . . . everything.” A tug at his hand and he was standing, wobbly. He fell into Batman, relieved when strong arms wrapped around him. Batman pulled him closer, and he could feel the man’s breath rustle his hair. Then a hand under his chin, raising his head up. He still couldn’t make out Batman’s face in the dark, but he’d seen it enough times to fill in the blanks.
The kiss was almost chaste, just a pressing of lips. But Gordon wanted more - he had been so lonely, so tired. He chanced it and wrapped his arms around Batman’s shoulders, the Dark Knight tensing for only a moment. The kiss deepened and Gordon moaned into it, grabbing Batman tighter as he herded him towards the nearest wall. He was almost frantic as he tried to devour Batman’s mouth, teeth clacking and bruising. Batman growled, a sound that made Gordon instantly hard. He didn’t resist when Batman switched their positions, Gordon between the wall and the unyielding body of Gotham’s protector.
“Jim,” whispered against his lips, and he tried to kiss Batman again but he pulled away. Gordon thought he would leave, but when Batman stepped back he heard something drop to the ground. Batman took his hand again and brought to his face. Gordon gasped. “You took off your mask.” Batman nodded and kissed the inside of Gordon’s palm. “Only for you.” Gordon swallowed and drug his fingers over the smooth planes of a young face, trying to forget and memorize them at the same time. Raked his hand through short, thick hair. Batman leaned into it and sighed. The sound was so unguarded, so real that Gordon couldn’t help himself. He pulled Batman back for another kiss, but it was soft, lingering. He felt Batman’s hand rest on his chest before moving lower, stopping at the lip of Gordon’s trousers before unbuckling them. Gordon should have protested but he was aching, overwhelmed. His head was swirling from the physical contact and the scotch, and he pressed himself further against the wall as his cock hit the cold air.
Batman kissed him one more time before sinking to his knees, his armor creaking in the dark. Gordon bit his lip to keep from screaming when he felt a tongue slide up the length of him, then a mouth encasing the tip. He couldn’t stop himself from tangling his hands in that thick hair, just holding as Batman began to suck in earnest, swallowing Gordon to the root. He never imagined he’d get this from the man, would never give in to such fantasies. But the situation alone was almost enough to send him over the edge, having the Dark Knight like this, the care and trust he was showing Gordon.
A few swipes of the man’s tongue had Gordon coming harder than he had in years, panting and bent over. Batman stayed on him, sucking until Gordon was spent.
The commissioner had no words to describe what Batman done for him, nothing he could say. Instead he grabbed the man’s cape and pulled him to his mouth, tasted himself on Batman’s tongue and put everything he was feeling into it.
The kiss was quick but left Gordon weak, slumping against the wall as Batman retrieved his mask from the floor. It slipped back on and Gordon waited for the inevitable moment when the man would just disappear, but he could still feel Batman’s presence, looming close but not close enough.
“Goodbye Jim.” Gordon barely heard the man retreat, just the crush of carpet and the soft screech of the window opening in the living room.
There was something about the dark that calmed him, and now he realized what it was.
