Under a Different Moon
Title: Under a Different Moon
Author: serenitysmalfoy
Pairing/Characters: Eventual Ron Weasley/Tyler Simms, Draco/Harry (mostly one sided), More than likely Caleb/Reid and Pogue....somebody.
Rating: PG-13 (will go higher)
Fandom(s): Covenant, HP
Summary: After the unimaginable happens, Ron runs away from the wizarding world, all the way to America to a place where no one could find him. Ipswitch; here comes werewolf Ron Weasley. Spoilers for the movie, and the seventh HP Books. Mostly up to chapter twenty three between page 448 and 449 if you have the hard cover. It's slightly AU From there, but not much will change in the HP world except for things that would have changed if Ron wasn't there.
Warnings: Slash
Disclaimer: I own nothing but these words I write.

Prologue
Ron Weasley ran, his feet hitting the ground with an inhuman gracefulness as his heart pounded inside his chest. He still remembered the eyes, starring at him, looking at him with so many things, unspoken emotions running through them. He stopped, leaning against the tree, his hand against the tree. Letting out a choked sob, Ron sunk to the ground. It wasn’t fair. How could this happen to him? Why did it happen to him? He couldn’t handle this. He was a bloody monster and he didn’t know how to be a monster.
He still remembered the eyes, starring at him with that look. Fear, that’s what was inside them. Fear, raw and he could smell it. He loved that fear, drank it in before he could stop himself.
Ron kept running.
When she’d looked at him that way, she, of all people looking at him with that fear, something inside of him broke. So Ron had run, letting his feet take them where they please. He wanted to hide away from those fearful eyes. Hide away from the pity and the fear and the looks. His own mother didn’t look directly at him anymore. Everything had changed and Ron just wanted to be normal.
Ron let his feet run beneath him, let the ground move beneath his feet, heart sinking with every step he took. Anger uncontrolled welled up inside. He was a danger. Ron let out a sound—inhuman as it filled the air. The moon shun down at him mockingly and Ron only ran faster, his feet about to give out.
Where could he go? Where could he hide away from those deep brown, fearful eyes of the one he loved? Where? Eyes searching, Ron swallowed. He knew where he could hide; a place where no one from his world could find him. America was the perfect place.
~~~~~
The old Provost looked at him with a smile. Ron noted that there was no look in his eyes. No raw fear shun in those eyes and Ron gave the first real smile he’d given in months.
