Summary: A beautiful young man’s soul has been brought back on the dark wings of a crow and he is thirsting for revenge against those who killed him and his boyfriend in cold blood. This story will contain boy love, strong language, explicit violence, and a few original characters. This story has been rewritten.
Prologue
Trey turned his smoky crystal-quartz gray eyes up to the night sky when he heard the call of a single crow on the warm wind. It was the first time he had ever heard one in the big city of Metropolis. He thought it strange, but decided to keep walking. All he needed was to get mugged and left for dead in some dark alley. That would really piss Lee off. He could hear his overprotective jock boyfriend now.
“How dare you go and get yourself killed on our three year anniversary,” he would snap angrily at his corpse in the morgue. “I had to cancel dinner, return our chick flick, it was Beaches by the way, and run by somewhere…oh, I forget the name, to buy tissues. Oh, if you weren’t already dead, I’d kill you myself.”
The thought of that little scenario playing out in his mind was funny. He could see his butch man wearing a black veil, and holding black roses in his big hands. The blond looked so hot in black. He could not help but chuckle as he rounded a corner.
“Oh, please, excuse me,” he said, when he rammed right into someone who felt like a brick wall. “I’m so sorry.”
“No, my bad,” a young man with wet emerald green eyes said. He looked to be very distressed. “I wasn’t looking where I was going.”
That crow called out again. It’s cry was very loud.
“Excuse me,” the giant said and quickly took off running, like something was chasing after him, or tormenting him.
Trey watched him disappear into the shadows and rubbed his shoulder. That had really hurt. What was that guy made of, steel? He hoped he wasn’t going to get a bruise. That would totally suck.
“Hey,” a freaky looking street vendor called to him. She was dressed like a gypsy. She was all in black and red and had on a spider looking silk veil. “Would you care to purchase a little charm of mine to ward off Death?”
He shivered under those frightening black eyes that held a dark madness deep within their depths. “No, but thank you.”
Her rose red lips curved upwards into a wicked smirk. “Suit yourself, kid.”
He took off walking once more. He could feel those icy eyes burning into his back. He began to walk faster.

The woman looked up at a crow that was perched over her little booth. Her eyes glowed with a cold light. “Hmm,” she mused to herself when the crow took flight. “I doubt my charm would have worked anyway. That’s some power.”
That boy was going to become a force to be reckoned with. It was something that was just going to have to happen. She had no power to thwart the will of the Goddess. Lessons had to be learned and people needed to be punished.

“What is the point in having a cell phone?” Lee asked across the candlelit table. He looked to be very upset with him. He was always like this when he forgot to turn his phone on. “If you don’t keep it turned on?”
Trey shrugged. “I give up. What?”
Lee rolled his big blue eyes. “A bill you don’t need.”
“Mom and Dad pay for it,” he said, looking down at his meatballs. They didn’t look so good. He couldn’t believe people paid this kind of money for food that didn’t look tasty. “It’s not my bill.”
Lee looked like he was seriously thinking about throwing his spaghetti at him. He really did look like he had been worried sick. It made him feel guilty for not doing what he should have done. It was nice to know that Lee worried about him.
“You had me worried,” Lee said as he took a bite of his salad. Now that actually did look good. He reached over and stole a juicy red tomato slice. “You shouldn’t walk anywhere from campus at night.”
“I love the night air,” Trey said, frowning. He really did like to walk.
“And I love you too much to allow you to get yourself mugged or worse,” Lee snapped angrily and dropped his fork with a clatter on his plate. Those blue eyes were blazing at him with anger and concern. “Do you know how many gay guys get bashed just because they’re gay? I refuse to let that happen to you. I would kill anybody who dared to raise their hand against you.”
Trey just looked at him. He loves me so much. Maybe I should take better care of myself.
“I’m sorry,” Lee said softly, looking up into his eyes. “I just want you to be safe. Is that asking for too much, Trey?”
“Lee,” he said softly, smiling warmly at him, pulling an object from his front pocket. “I am safe. See, I even have pepper spray.”
“I just keep thinking about my sister,” Lee whispered. Now that brought up some very painful memories. “She loved the night, too, Trey.”
Trey reached across the table and took the larger man’s hand in his own. Lee was bigger than him, but he was the stronger when it came to holding back emotions.
“I’ll keep my cell charged and kept on from now on,” he said, giving that big, strong hand a firm squeeze. “Okay?”
Lee smiled with really white teeth. “And I’m driving you home.”
“You could stay,” Trey said and let go of his hand. “Jerry is home for the weekend.”
Lee laughed. His laughter was so deep and masculine. How had he gotten so lucky to land such a handsome stud? “Has that poor boy figured it out yet?”
“When he caught me asleep in your arms,” Trey counted off on his fingers. “Or when he walked in with us showering together?”
“It’s amazing he’s even in college,” Lee said with a shake of his head. The light caught his golden hair and made it shimmer. He couldn’t wait to run his hands through those silky locks. “You would think he would know how to read the signs posted on the doors. I made them myself.”
Trey snorted. Poor Jerry really was such a nice guy. He was too sweet and didn’t have a clue about most things. He must have lived such a sheltered life. “You know that he’s just special.”
“Right,” Lee said.
“Do you like this food?” Trey asked as he cut into a meatball. It was pink and just plain gross looking.
Lee nodded. “I do.”
Trey smiled. He simply adored Lee’s dry sarcasm.

“Hey, Richard,” Trey said, stepping up to the front desk in his dorm lobby with Lee by his side. Richard was a really sweet guy with really big glasses. He was a bit of a dork, but he was cute in such a geeky way. “Has your night been busy?”
“Shit, nah,” Richard said with a big grin, taking a bite of pizza. “Everybody goes home on the weekends, Trey. But I did have some sorority chick give me some trouble earlier. She demanded me to take her to her boyfriend’s room just because she knew he had another girl in there with him. Oh, believe me. There was drama all over that floor, because the girl wasn’t a girl. The guy had brought home a drag queen.”
Trey whistled. Now that was some serious drama. He didn’t care too much for drag queens. The minute they put the heels on, they become raging bitch queens from hell.
“How goes chemistry with Dr. Wood? ”He asked as he signed Lee in, and gave Richard his ID card.
“Oh, you know,” Richard smiled crookedly. It was such an endearing feature. “I’m still holding my A.”
Lee chuckled. “And how are you holding it?”
“Oral tests,” Richard said, leaning back in his chair, grinning wickedly. “And good body language, too.”
Lee looked at Trey, who shrugged. Now that was just funny. Some people will simply do anything to get the grade. “Wow.”
Richard laughed. “You two get on out of here. My Soap is about to start any minute now. Timmy is stuck down the well, and Tabitha is about to let loose a storm.”
Trey took Lee by the hand and led him from the lobby to the stairs. There was no elevator because he lived in the oldest dorm on campus, but it was one of the nicest. Each room had its own bathroom.
“Why doesn’t this place get an elevator?” Lee asked with a yawn. He sounded tired. He must have had a busy day.
“This building is ancient,” Trey said as he opened the door to the dimly lit stairwell. It looked kind of creepy. It was like something out of a horror movie because the lights would always flicker in certain places, and it was like you could feel someone always watching your back as you walk up the steps. “It would cost a fortune to insert one.”
“This is Met U for God’s sake,” Lee muttered, holding his hand, being led up the steps. “They should be able to afford it.”
“Come on, lazy,” Trey said, laughing at him. “You know what happens to lazy people, don’t you?”
Lee shook his head. “No, I don’t know.”
“They get fat,” he snorted.
That made Lee’s eyes widen in horror. “You take that back. You know that’s just some silly urban legend.”
Trey rolled his eyes. “Sometimes I wonder why I fell for you.”
Lee puffed out his buff chest as he kept following Trey up the stairs. “I’m handsome, sexy, rich, and can give a great BJ.”
Trey laughed out loud. His voice echoed all around. “I give it a three.”
Lee looked mortified and his voice echoed right along with his laughter. “You’re such a skinny little liar.”
Trey turned to look back at him and cocked his head to the side. “You know you’re a god.”
“Damn straight,” Lee said, puffing his muscular chest back out again. “A damn fine sex god if I say so myself.”
“You have my worship,” Trey said as they finally reached the seventh floor. It didn’t take them long at all. He was used to climbing them everyday, and Lee was a Jock. “And I have a little love altar built for you in my closet.”
Lee smiled. “I don’t believe you.”
Trey shrugged. “Hmm, I don’t know.”
Lee’s blue eyes widened. “Are you serious?”
“You’ll just have to dig and see for yourself,” Trey said, leading him to his room. The hallway was dark, because they always turned off random lights in order to save electricity on the weekends.
“Screw that,” Lee said, as they reached room 713. “I’ll do that in the morning.”
“Lazy makes fat,” Trey chuckled.
“Liar,” Lee said, as Trey unlocked the door to his room. “You just make that stuff up.”
“Get in there,” Trey snapped and smacked him across the ass with his hand. “I can’t take you anywhere.”
Lee yelped. It was such a cute sound. “You’re so violent.”
“And you’re a little tipsy,” Trey said, pushing him in, kicking the door shut behind them with his foot. All he wanted to do was get Lee naked and have him make love to him over and over again. He wanted to drown himself in the jock.
“Just a little bit,” Lee smiled and grabbed him in his arms muscular arms. Oh, he loved the feel of them around his lithe frame. They made him feel so safe and secure.
Trey pushed him over, and they both fell onto his bed. Lee was going at his neck, and Trey was fighting to get their shirts off. Clothes were always getting in the way of what he wanted.
Lee kicked off his dress shoes and rolled over, so that he was on top of the smaller man. He looked down into those glowing gray eyes and crushed his lips against his.
Trey moaned when Lee rubbed his hips against his hardening cock. That tongue was driving him insane. Lee was so good with his tongue.
“Hey,” Lee said with a deep, husky voice, as he pulled back just a little. “I got you something yesterday.”

Lee reached into his pocket and pulled out a white gold ring with an eternity symbol carved into it with their initials. Trey looked at it and then at him. It was the most beautiful ring he had ever seen in his life.
“Even though we can’t get married,” Lee smiled and slid it on his ring finger. “At least you know we will always have each other no matter what life throws at us.”
Trey was speechless. He didn’t even know what to say. He just looked up into those big blue eyes that had won his heart over, and kissed him hard. It was the only thing he could do in that moment, otherwise he was just going to break down and cry because he was so happy.
Lee chuckled low in his throat and smiled warmly down at him. “Do you like it?”
“I love it,” Trey whispered, looking at it and loving how warm it felt on his finger. It was absolutely gorgeous. He felt like he was going to melt into a puddle under the stud. “But, not as much as I love you.”
Lee smiled and licked Trey’s bottom lip, running his fingers through that coiling dark hair. His hair was as soft as silk spun by spiders in the darkest of night.
“Make love to me,” Trey whispered and slid his hands into Lee’s pants to grip his rock hard rod, making the jock moan. “Make me scream your name over and over as you fill me with all your creamy warmth.”
Lee trembled when Trey gave his cock a light squeeze.
“Okay,” Lee said, and the two fought to see who could get whose clothes off the fastest.

Trey opened his eyes when he heard a small sound come from his bathroom. It was dark and he sat up on his bed to find Lee was not beside him. There was a light coming out from under the bathroom door and he could hear the sound of water running. Lee was obviously taking a shower without him. The shower always did make such a loud noise. He looked at the ring on his finger and smiled. He was so happy and Lee had made him scream his name over and over again with such fiery passion. Just thinking about how wild Lee had been had him craving it all over again.
“Lee,” he called out as he got to his feet. “Do you want me to wash your back for you?”
There was no answer. He must not have heard him. The shower really was that loud.
He walked over and knocked on the door. “Lee?”
There was still no answer. What the heck was he doing in there?
“I’m coming in,” he said, opening the door up.
He stumbled backwards with a startled cry, nearly falling. The sight that he beheld with frightened grey eyes had his mouth gaping open in sheer horror.
Lee’s naked body was suspended at least six inches off the floor by his neck. His blue eyes were bloodshot and bulging from their sockets, his tongue was protruding from the corner of his mouth like that of a panting dog.
“LEE!” He screamed at the top of his terrified lungs and rushed forward to try and lift him up. There was nothing he could do. He was far too heavy for him. The body was wet and he couldn’t get a good grip. “SOMEBODY HELP ME!”
That was when he felt someone step up behind him and tears streamed from his eyes. He heard a gun being cocked. He spun around, blinded by the tears. “WHY?”
The gun fired, and the silent bullet struck him right between the eyes. He just stood there looking into the face of his masked killer as crimson tears streamed from his winter orbs like a trail of ruby starlight against his moth white skin.
His body seemed to spin around in slow motion. He tried to reach out for Lee, but missed him by mere inches. He fell at his suspended lover’s feet and felt the wings of darkness slowly overshadowing him with a coldness he had never known. His soul cried out in heart shattering agony and it blended perfectly with that crow’s lamenting call.

Clark Kent sat straight up in his bed with the sound of a gunshot echoing in his alien ears. He looked around his dark bedroom and shivered. It wasn’t because he was cold. Oh, no. It was from a blood chilling scream of anguished wrath.
He could not catch his breath. Had he been running in his dream? It felt as if he had been running from something, or running after something. He didn’t know which.
He could hear that scream as if it had taken place in his own house. That gunshot had been so close. It was still ringing in his ears.
He could hear the call of a crow.

“Hey,” Clark said, walking into Chloe’s large and very expressive dorm room. It had cost her a pretty penny, too. She lived in the newest dorm on campus. “I came as soon as I got your voice message. What’s going on?”
“There was a double murder in the dorm right across from mine,” she said, gathering up papers, not bothering to hide the bras she had hanging up on a string over her bed. Since Clark was gay, there was no reason in hiding the damn things from him anymore. It wasn’t like he got a thrill from seeing them.
“Anybody you knew?” He asked.
“That is what we’re going to find out,” she said.
He did not like it when she got that look in her eyes. It meant that he was going to have to use his powers, and break tons of laws in the process. Why were these things always happening to him? Why couldn’t she have been inviting him out for lunch or something like that?
“All I know is what I got from gossip in the library,” she said, putting her backpack on.
“And that would be,” he asked, following her out the door.
“They were found dead in the bathroom,” she said, locking her door, and led him to the elevator.
“How were they killed?” He asked as she pushed the down button.
“One was hung,” she said. “And the other shot right between the eyes.”
Clark froze when the elevator door opened. “When was this?”
“This morning at around four,” she said, stepping on. “Why?”
He shook his head. “No reason.”
“I’ve been trying to get a hold of Trey all morning,” she said, dialing his cell phone again. “But, he’s not picking up.”
“Who is that?” Clark asked, trying to pay attention.
“My friend,” she said. “He lives in the dorm. So he probably knows what’s going on.”
“Have I ever met him?” Clark asked as he got on with her.
Chloe pushed the button for the lobby. “I don’t think so.”
The elevator doors closed and the two were going down. Clark could still hear that horrible scream and that scary gunshot. It was the sound of a guy crying out in utter agony. He had woken up right at 4:10 a.m.
“He spends a lot of time studying.” She said, looking over at him. “And he spends the rest of his time with his handsome boyfriend. Lee could even give you a run for your money in the looks department, Clark.”
“Boyfriend?” Clark asked with wide eyes.
Chloe nodded with a smile. “How are you and Lex?”
Clark shrugged his broad shoulders. “We’re fine.”
“Then why the sad green eyes, Spaceman?” She asked when the elevator dinged.
“I don’t really want to talk about it right now,” Clark said, waiting for the doors to open.
“What happened?” She asked right as the doors opened.
He got off and started to walk away.
“Clark,” she called after him and ran right up to him to grab his arm. “What is it?”
“Don’t we have laws to break?” He asked. “Or something crazy like that?”
That question got the two of them a very dirty look from the desk worker. She looked like a snob and Clark wanted to burn her bleach blond hair right off her scalp. She used way too much product and her makeup was too damn heavy. It was a wonder she could even hold her damn head up. She reminded him of the bitch.
“What are you looking at, Pancake Face?” He snarled and turned on his heel with an angry hiss.
Chloe just stood there completely opened mouthed and in shock. What the hell had just happened? If she didn’t know any better, she would guess that he was on the rag. The poor girl behind the desk looked like she was about to break down and cry.
“You’ll have to excuse him,” she said, smiling at her. “He’s on it.”
There was a thought. Clark was a man, but he was an alien. Did aliens from another planet get the rag? That would be interesting. Maybe they could cycle and bitch together while they bled?
“Hey!” She yelled, running after him. “Wait for me! You don’t even know what color to use!”
That was when her cell phone began to ring. It was Jerry.

Chloe just stood there in silence, looking at the yellow police tape across the wooden door to room 713. She slowly backed away from it so that her back bumped into the wall across from it. She slid down the smooth surface and brought her knees up so she could hug them.
She pushed seven on her cell phone and listened. A tear fell from her eye when she heard the ring tone Trey had programmed into his cell that would play whenever she called him. She seems to have an invisible touch.
“I’m sorry,” Clark said, walking over to sit down next to her.
She bit her bottom lip. “Who would want to kill them? They were such nice guys.”
He pulled her over so that her head was resting against his shoulder. He didn’t know what to say, because he didn’t know them.
She pushed “end” on her phone, and the ring tone in the room stopped playing. That was when anger hit. Who the fuck would do such a thing? Why the fuck? Was it because they were gay? Was this some kind of God Hates Fags thing? These goddamn Christian fanatics need to fucking die! They all need to fucking die! The world would be a better place without them spreading all their fear and hatred. They can take their white Jesus and shove him up their hateful asses and give him a good fucking twirl!
“God!” She hissed and scrambled to her feet.
“Chloe,” Clark said. He was on his feet in an instant, but she was already stepping into the room.
She gulped. The place was a mess. It looked as though someone had been looking for something. Or, perhaps, they made it look like they had been.
“Jerry,” she said, looking around. “He’s Trey’s roommate.”
Clark cocked a brow. “You think he might have had something to do with this?”
“He went home for the weekend, so maybe not,” she said, looking over at the bathroom. The police had cleaned it up real good. She could only imagine what it must have looked like in there.
“If we can sneak in, Chloe,” Clark said, and saw a photo on the dresser.
“He does not have superpowers,” Chloe said.
“As far as you know,” Clark said, walking over to look at it.
She walked over and stood in the open doorway. The girl had said that one of the boys was hung from the pipe running from the shower to the sink. She wondered which one had been hung. Had it been Trey or Lee? The thought frightened her terribly. That was such an awful way to die. Who would so such an awful thing?
Clark picked the photo up and looked at it closely. He had seen this guy somewhere before, but where? Those smoky gray eyes seemed to burn into him.
“Wait,” Clark said, turning to look at Chloe’s back. “I saw him last night. I bumped into him soon after I left Lex’s penthouse.”
She turned around. “You did?”
“Yeah,” he said, looking back down at the photo of the black haired boy. “I wasn’t looking where I was going and plowed right into him. I don’t think he was looking where he was going either.”
Chloe snickered sadly. “That would be him. His head is…was always looking up at the stars.”
Clark walked over to her. “He must have been going to meet the guy he’s hugging.”
“That would be Lee,” she said, taking the frame from him. The two of them were so beautiful. “They are…were so adorable. Aren’t they hot?”
Clark smiled, nodding.
She looked it over with a sniff, and slipped it into her purse. Clark didn’t say a word.
“Did their parents know about them?” He asked.
Chloe shook her head. “They never told me.”
Clark nodded and walked over to the bathroom to take a look around.
Chloe walked over and took a seat at Trey’s desk. There was a Goddess statue being used as a paperweight sitting on the corner. She looked at it and smiled. Maybe she is holding them in her arms right now? That thought gave her some small comfort.
Caw!
That made her jump. She looked over at the window to see that there was a crow perched sill, looking right at her with large amber eyes. It was rapping at the window, and it made her think of The Raven. She got to her feet, and it flew off.
“Hey,” Clark said, walking back out. “I found this over behind the toilet.”
It was a ring.
She took it in her hand and looked at it. It was either silver or white gold, and it was very pretty. It looked really expensive, too.
“The eternity symbol,” Chloe said, showing it to him. “It has their initials entwined in it.”
It made her want to cry. That was when they heard a noise.
“Come on,” Clark said, picking her up in his arms. “We need to go.”
“To the morgue,” Chloe said as if she were finishing a sentence for him.
He cocked a brow. “I don’t think that’s such a good idea, Chloe. You two were friends.”
“Which is why I need to see him,” she said, putting her arms around his neck. “And Lee.”
“Are you sure?” He asked.
She nodded. “We’ll wait till dark.”
The two were gone in a whoosh.

“So,” Chloe asked him as the two got into her car. “What happened between you and Lex?”
“Nothing,” Clark lied, putting on his seatbelt.
“Don’t do that, Clark,” she said, putting the key into ignition. “You bit a sorority chicks head off without even thinking about it.”
“I was just sleepy,” he said. “I didn’t sleep well.”
“I wonder why?” She asked.
Clark just looked out his window. He really didn’t want to talk about it. If he talked about it, then it was going to make it all real. He wished he had never gone to see Lex. He should have just stayed at home, playing with his pet cow. That way he would still be in blissful ignorance. Living in ignorance was so nice. You never had to see the ugly in people.
He could hear his dad now. “What did I tell you about them Luthor’s, Clark? The apple never falls too far from the tree, Son.”
“Clark,” she said, reaching over to lightly grip his arm. “You can tell me anything.”
“I caught him,” Clark whispered.
“Caught him?” She asked, turning off onto the main road.
“On the phone,” Clark said, pointing to his ears. “I was going to sneak in and surprise him with dinner.”
Chloe looked over at him.
“He was talking to her,” he said, tightening his seatbelt, as if it wasn’t tight enough. “That bitch he was seeing from back in high school.”
“Who?” Chloe asked, not liking this at all. She thought this was just going to be something stupid. But, this was terrible.
“Victoria Whatsherface!” Clark roared. “That conniving, she devil! That temptress! That little slut! That little whore! What is it with her? You know, Chloe. She’s the little bitch, who couldn’t afford to buy a whole outfit!”
Chloe just looked at him in shock. Did Clark Kent just say all of that? She could not believe her ears.
“I want to ring her skinny little neck off!” He spat angrily, twisting the folds of his shirt. “I want to pluck out her money hungry eyes and squish them between my thumbs and index fingers.”
She turned back to the road. Okay, that was a scary image just burned into her brain. “What did Lex say?”
“My Farmboy is just a pastime, Vikki,” Clark mimicked. It was scary. He sounded just like her. “You know it’s you I want.”
Chloe turned off onto another street.
“I wanted to kick down the door, grab the phone from his hand, and scream that he’s mine you little bitch troll from hell!” He bellowed and almost cried, because it hurt like a mother.
“Didn’t she sleep with Lionel?” Chloe asked.
Clark’s nostrils flared. “Yes!”
Chloe didn’t know what to think. She saw herself taking a bat to Lex’s shiny bald head.
“A pastime,” Clark ranted. “He called me a frigging pastime, Chloe! If he wants that little slut, he can have her!”
Chloe nodded. “You don’t deserve that, Clark.”
“No,” he agreed. “I really, really don’t.”
“What are you going to do?” She asked.
Clark looked over at her with ruby red irises. “I’m going to make him wish his new “girlfriend” was hot like me.”
She quickly looked at his hands and sighed in relief. He wasn’t on the red k. But, what if he had been snorting it? “How?” She asked him.
“I don’t know,” he smiled wickedly. “But I know it’s not going to take much to have him melting in my presence.”
Chloe nodded.
“He doesn’t know that I know,” he smiled evilly.
“We’re almost there,” Chloe said.
Clark frowned. “I’m really sorry to dump this on you, Chloe.”
“Don’t worry about it,” she said, taking a hand off the wheel to punch him in the arm. “It’s helped me to prepare for what I’m about to do.”

Summary: A beautiful young man’s soul has been brought back on the dark wings of a crow and he is thirsting for revenge against those who killed him and his boyfriend in cold blood. This story will contain boy love, strong language, explicit violence, and a few original characters. This story has been rewritten.
Prologue
Trey turned his smoky crystal-quartz gray eyes up to the night sky when he heard the call of a single crow on the warm wind. It was the first time he had ever heard one in the big city of Metropolis. He thought it strange, but decided to keep walking. All he needed was to get mugged and left for dead in some dark alley. That would really piss Lee off. He could hear his overprotective jock boyfriend now.
“How dare you go and get yourself killed on our three year anniversary,” he would snap angrily at his corpse in the morgue. “I had to cancel dinner, return our chick flick, it was Beaches by the way, and run by somewhere…oh, I forget the name, to buy tissues. Oh, if you weren’t already dead, I’d kill you myself.”
The thought of that little scenario playing out in his mind was funny. He could see his butch man wearing a black veil, and holding black roses in his big hands. The blond looked so hot in black. He could not help but chuckle as he rounded a corner.
“Oh, please, excuse me,” he said, when he rammed right into someone who felt like a brick wall. “I’m so sorry.”
“No, my bad,” a young man with wet emerald green eyes said. He looked to be very distressed. “I wasn’t looking where I was going.”
That crow called out again. It’s cry was very loud.
“Excuse me,” the giant said and quickly took off running, like something was chasing after him, or tormenting him.
Trey watched him disappear into the shadows and rubbed his shoulder. That had really hurt. What was that guy made of, steel? He hoped he wasn’t going to get a bruise. That would totally suck.
“Hey,” a freaky looking street vendor called to him. She was dressed like a gypsy. She was all in black and red and had on a spider looking silk veil. “Would you care to purchase a little charm of mine to ward off Death?”
He shivered under those frightening black eyes that held a dark madness deep within their depths. “No, but thank you.”
Her rose red lips curved upwards into a wicked smirk. “Suit yourself, kid.”
He took off walking once more. He could feel those icy eyes burning into his back. He began to walk faster.

The woman looked up at a crow that was perched over her little booth. Her eyes glowed with a cold light. “Hmm,” she mused to herself when the crow took flight. “I doubt my charm would have worked anyway. That’s some power.”
That boy was going to become a force to be reckoned with. It was something that was just going to have to happen. She had no power to thwart the will of the Goddess. Lessons had to be learned and people needed to be punished.

“What is the point in having a cell phone?” Lee asked across the candlelit table. He looked to be very upset with him. He was always like this when he forgot to turn his phone on. “If you don’t keep it turned on?”
Trey shrugged. “I give up. What?”
Lee rolled his big blue eyes. “A bill you don’t need.”
“Mom and Dad pay for it,” he said, looking down at his meatballs. They didn’t look so good. He couldn’t believe people paid this kind of money for food that didn’t look tasty. “It’s not my bill.”
Lee looked like he was seriously thinking about throwing his spaghetti at him. He really did look like he had been worried sick. It made him feel guilty for not doing what he should have done. It was nice to know that Lee worried about him.
“You had me worried,” Lee said as he took a bite of his salad. Now that actually did look good. He reached over and stole a juicy red tomato slice. “You shouldn’t walk anywhere from campus at night.”
“I love the night air,” Trey said, frowning. He really did like to walk.
“And I love you too much to allow you to get yourself mugged or worse,” Lee snapped angrily and dropped his fork with a clatter on his plate. Those blue eyes were blazing at him with anger and concern. “Do you know how many gay guys get bashed just because they’re gay? I refuse to let that happen to you. I would kill anybody who dared to raise their hand against you.”
Trey just looked at him. He loves me so much. Maybe I should take better care of myself.
“I’m sorry,” Lee said softly, looking up into his eyes. “I just want you to be safe. Is that asking for too much, Trey?”
“Lee,” he said softly, smiling warmly at him, pulling an object from his front pocket. “I am safe. See, I even have pepper spray.”
“I just keep thinking about my sister,” Lee whispered. Now that brought up some very painful memories. “She loved the night, too, Trey.”
Trey reached across the table and took the larger man’s hand in his own. Lee was bigger than him, but he was the stronger when it came to holding back emotions.
“I’ll keep my cell charged and kept on from now on,” he said, giving that big, strong hand a firm squeeze. “Okay?”
Lee smiled with really white teeth. “And I’m driving you home.”
“You could stay,” Trey said and let go of his hand. “Jerry is home for the weekend.”
Lee laughed. His laughter was so deep and masculine. How had he gotten so lucky to land such a handsome stud? “Has that poor boy figured it out yet?”
“When he caught me asleep in your arms,” Trey counted off on his fingers. “Or when he walked in with us showering together?”
“It’s amazing he’s even in college,” Lee said with a shake of his head. The light caught his golden hair and made it shimmer. He couldn’t wait to run his hands through those silky locks. “You would think he would know how to read the signs posted on the doors. I made them myself.”
Trey snorted. Poor Jerry really was such a nice guy. He was too sweet and didn’t have a clue about most things. He must have lived such a sheltered life. “You know that he’s just special.”
“Right,” Lee said.
“Do you like this food?” Trey asked as he cut into a meatball. It was pink and just plain gross looking.
Lee nodded. “I do.”
Trey smiled. He simply adored Lee’s dry sarcasm.

“Hey, Richard,” Trey said, stepping up to the front desk in his dorm lobby with Lee by his side. Richard was a really sweet guy with really big glasses. He was a bit of a dork, but he was cute in such a geeky way. “Has your night been busy?”
“Shit, nah,” Richard said with a big grin, taking a bite of pizza. “Everybody goes home on the weekends, Trey. But I did have some sorority chick give me some trouble earlier. She demanded me to take her to her boyfriend’s room just because she knew he had another girl in there with him. Oh, believe me. There was drama all over that floor, because the girl wasn’t a girl. The guy had brought home a drag queen.”
Trey whistled. Now that was some serious drama. He didn’t care too much for drag queens. The minute they put the heels on, they become raging bitch queens from hell.
“How goes chemistry with Dr. Wood? ”He asked as he signed Lee in, and gave Richard his ID card.
“Oh, you know,” Richard smiled crookedly. It was such an endearing feature. “I’m still holding my A.”
Lee chuckled. “And how are you holding it?”
“Oral tests,” Richard said, leaning back in his chair, grinning wickedly. “And good body language, too.”
Lee looked at Trey, who shrugged. Now that was just funny. Some people will simply do anything to get the grade. “Wow.”
Richard laughed. “You two get on out of here. My Soap is about to start any minute now. Timmy is stuck down the well, and Tabitha is about to let loose a storm.”
Trey took Lee by the hand and led him from the lobby to the stairs. There was no elevator because he lived in the oldest dorm on campus, but it was one of the nicest. Each room had its own bathroom.
“Why doesn’t this place get an elevator?” Lee asked with a yawn. He sounded tired. He must have had a busy day.
“This building is ancient,” Trey said as he opened the door to the dimly lit stairwell. It looked kind of creepy. It was like something out of a horror movie because the lights would always flicker in certain places, and it was like you could feel someone always watching your back as you walk up the steps. “It would cost a fortune to insert one.”
“This is Met U for God’s sake,” Lee muttered, holding his hand, being led up the steps. “They should be able to afford it.”
“Come on, lazy,” Trey said, laughing at him. “You know what happens to lazy people, don’t you?”
Lee shook his head. “No, I don’t know.”
“They get fat,” he snorted.
That made Lee’s eyes widen in horror. “You take that back. You know that’s just some silly urban legend.”
Trey rolled his eyes. “Sometimes I wonder why I fell for you.”
Lee puffed out his buff chest as he kept following Trey up the stairs. “I’m handsome, sexy, rich, and can give a great BJ.”
Trey laughed out loud. His voice echoed all around. “I give it a three.”
Lee looked mortified and his voice echoed right along with his laughter. “You’re such a skinny little liar.”
Trey turned to look back at him and cocked his head to the side. “You know you’re a god.”
“Damn straight,” Lee said, puffing his muscular chest back out again. “A damn fine sex god if I say so myself.”
“You have my worship,” Trey said as they finally reached the seventh floor. It didn’t take them long at all. He was used to climbing them everyday, and Lee was a Jock. “And I have a little love altar built for you in my closet.”
Lee smiled. “I don’t believe you.”
Trey shrugged. “Hmm, I don’t know.”
Lee’s blue eyes widened. “Are you serious?”
“You’ll just have to dig and see for yourself,” Trey said, leading him to his room. The hallway was dark, because they always turned off random lights in order to save electricity on the weekends.
“Screw that,” Lee said, as they reached room 713. “I’ll do that in the morning.”
“Lazy makes fat,” Trey chuckled.
“Liar,” Lee said, as Trey unlocked the door to his room. “You just make that stuff up.”
“Get in there,” Trey snapped and smacked him across the ass with his hand. “I can’t take you anywhere.”
Lee yelped. It was such a cute sound. “You’re so violent.”
“And you’re a little tipsy,” Trey said, pushing him in, kicking the door shut behind them with his foot. All he wanted to do was get Lee naked and have him make love to him over and over again. He wanted to drown himself in the jock.
“Just a little bit,” Lee smiled and grabbed him in his arms muscular arms. Oh, he loved the feel of them around his lithe frame. They made him feel so safe and secure.
Trey pushed him over, and they both fell onto his bed. Lee was going at his neck, and Trey was fighting to get their shirts off. Clothes were always getting in the way of what he wanted.
Lee kicked off his dress shoes and rolled over, so that he was on top of the smaller man. He looked down into those glowing gray eyes and crushed his lips against his.
Trey moaned when Lee rubbed his hips against his hardening cock. That tongue was driving him insane. Lee was so good with his tongue.
“Hey,” Lee said with a deep, husky voice, as he pulled back just a little. “I got you something yesterday.”
“What,” Trey panted and finally got his and Lee’s belts off. He ran his pale white hands all over that hard muscled flesh. Gods, Lee was so fucking hot.
Lee reached into his pocket and pulled out a white gold ring with an eternity symbol carved into it with their initials. Trey looked at it and then at him. It was the most beautiful ring he had ever seen in his life.
“Even though we can’t get married,” Lee smiled and slid it on his ring finger. “At least you know we will always have each other no matter what life throws at us.”
Trey was speechless. He didn’t even know what to say. He just looked up into those big blue eyes that had won his heart over, and kissed him hard. It was the only thing he could do in that moment, otherwise he was just going to break down and cry because he was so happy.
Lee chuckled low in his throat and smiled warmly down at him. “Do you like it?”
“I love it,” Trey whispered, looking at it and loving how warm it felt on his finger. It was absolutely gorgeous. He felt like he was going to melt into a puddle under the stud. “But, not as much as I love you.”
Lee smiled and licked Trey’s bottom lip, running his fingers through that coiling dark hair. His hair was as soft as silk spun by spiders in the darkest of night.
“Make love to me,” Trey whispered and slid his hands into Lee’s pants to grip his rock hard rod, making the jock moan. “Make me scream your name over and over as you fill me with all your creamy warmth.”
Lee trembled when Trey gave his cock a light squeeze.
“Okay,” Lee said, and the two fought to see who could get whose clothes off the fastest.

Trey opened his eyes when he heard a small sound come from his bathroom. It was dark and he sat up on his bed to find Lee was not beside him. There was a light coming out from under the bathroom door and he could hear the sound of water running. Lee was obviously taking a shower without him. The shower always did make such a loud noise. He looked at the ring on his finger and smiled. He was so happy and Lee had made him scream his name over and over again with such fiery passion. Just thinking about how wild Lee had been had him craving it all over again.
“Lee,” he called out as he got to his feet. “Do you want me to wash your back for you?”
There was no answer. He must not have heard him. The shower really was that loud.
He walked over and knocked on the door. “Lee?”
There was still no answer. What the heck was he doing in there?
“I’m coming in,” he said, opening the door up.
He stumbled backwards with a startled cry, nearly falling. The sight that he beheld with frightened grey eyes had his mouth gaping open in sheer horror.
Lee’s naked body was suspended at least six inches off the floor by his neck. His blue eyes were bloodshot and bulging from their sockets, his tongue was protruding from the corner of his mouth like that of a panting dog.
“LEE!” He screamed at the top of his terrified lungs and rushed forward to try and lift him up. There was nothing he could do. He was far too heavy for him. The body was wet and he couldn’t get a good grip. “SOMEBODY HELP ME!”
That was when he felt someone step up behind him and tears streamed from his eyes. He heard a gun being cocked. He spun around, blinded by the tears. “WHY?”
The gun fired, and the silent bullet struck him right between the eyes. He just stood there looking into the face of his masked killer as crimson tears streamed from his winter orbs like a trail of ruby starlight against his moth white skin.
His body seemed to spin around in slow motion. He tried to reach out for Lee, but missed him by mere inches. He fell at his suspended lover’s feet and felt the wings of darkness slowly overshadowing him with a coldness he had never known. His soul cried out in heart shattering agony and it blended perfectly with that crow’s lamenting call.

Clark Kent sat straight up in his bed with the sound of a gunshot echoing in his alien ears. He looked around his dark bedroom and shivered. It wasn’t because he was cold. Oh, no. It was from a blood chilling scream of anguished wrath.
He could not catch his breath. Had he been running in his dream? It felt as if he had been running from something, or running after something. He didn’t know which.
He could hear that scream as if it had taken place in his own house. That gunshot had been so close. It was still ringing in his ears.
He could hear the call of a crow.

“Hey,” Clark said, walking into Chloe’s large and very expressive dorm room. It had cost her a pretty penny, too. She lived in the newest dorm on campus. “I came as soon as I got your voice message. What’s going on?”
“There was a double murder in the dorm right across from mine,” she said, gathering up papers, not bothering to hide the bras she had hanging up on a string over her bed. Since Clark was gay, there was no reason in hiding the damn things from him anymore. It wasn’t like he got a thrill from seeing them.
“Anybody you knew?” He asked.
“That is what we’re going to find out,” she said.
He did not like it when she got that look in her eyes. It meant that he was going to have to use his powers, and break tons of laws in the process. Why were these things always happening to him? Why couldn’t she have been inviting him out for lunch or something like that?
“All I know is what I got from gossip in the library,” she said, putting her backpack on.
“And that would be,” he asked, following her out the door.
“They were found dead in the bathroom,” she said, locking her door, and led him to the elevator.
“How were they killed?” He asked as she pushed the down button.
“One was hung,” she said. “And the other shot right between the eyes.”
Clark froze when the elevator door opened. “When was this?”
“This morning at around four,” she said, stepping on. “Why?”
He shook his head. “No reason.”
“I’ve been trying to get a hold of Trey all morning,” she said, dialing his cell phone again. “But, he’s not picking up.”
“Who is that?” Clark asked, trying to pay attention.
“My friend,” she said. “He lives in the dorm. So he probably knows what’s going on.”
“Have I ever met him?” Clark asked as he got on with her.
Chloe pushed the button for the lobby. “I don’t think so.”
The elevator doors closed and the two were going down. Clark could still hear that horrible scream and that scary gunshot. It was the sound of a guy crying out in utter agony. He had woken up right at 4:10 a.m.
“He spends a lot of time studying.” She said, looking over at him. “And he spends the rest of his time with his handsome boyfriend. Lee could even give you a run for your money in the looks department, Clark.”
“Boyfriend?” Clark asked with wide eyes.
Chloe nodded with a smile. “How are you and Lex?”
Clark shrugged his broad shoulders. “We’re fine.”
“Then why the sad green eyes, Spaceman?” She asked when the elevator dinged.
“I don’t really want to talk about it right now,” Clark said, waiting for the doors to open.
“What happened?” She asked right as the doors opened.
He got off and started to walk away.
“Clark,” she called after him and ran right up to him to grab his arm. “What is it?”
“Don’t we have laws to break?” He asked. “Or something crazy like that?”
That question got the two of them a very dirty look from the desk worker. She looked like a snob and Clark wanted to burn her bleach blond hair right off her scalp. She used way too much product and her makeup was too damn heavy. It was a wonder she could even hold her damn head up. She reminded him of the bitch.
“What are you looking at, Pancake Face?” He snarled and turned on his heel with an angry hiss.
Chloe just stood there completely opened mouthed and in shock. What the hell had just happened? If she didn’t know any better, she would guess that he was on the rag. The poor girl behind the desk looked like she was about to break down and cry.
“You’ll have to excuse him,” she said, smiling at her. “He’s on it.”
There was a thought. Clark was a man, but he was an alien. Did aliens from another planet get the rag? That would be interesting. Maybe they could cycle and bitch together while they bled?
“Hey!” She yelled, running after him. “Wait for me! You don’t even know what color to use!”
That was when her cell phone began to ring. It was Jerry.

Chloe just stood there in silence, looking at the yellow police tape across the wooden door to room 713. She slowly backed away from it so that her back bumped into the wall across from it. She slid down the smooth surface and brought her knees up so she could hug them.
She pushed seven on her cell phone and listened. A tear fell from her eye when she heard the ring tone Trey had programmed into his cell that would play whenever she called him. She seems to have an invisible touch.
“I’m sorry,” Clark said, walking over to sit down next to her.
She bit her bottom lip. “Who would want to kill them? They were such nice guys.”
He pulled her over so that her head was resting against his shoulder. He didn’t know what to say, because he didn’t know them.
She pushed “end” on her phone, and the ring tone in the room stopped playing. That was when anger hit. Who the fuck would do such a thing? Why the fuck? Was it because they were gay? Was this some kind of God Hates Fags thing? These goddamn Christian fanatics need to fucking die! They all need to fucking die! The world would be a better place without them spreading all their fear and hatred. They can take their white Jesus and shove him up their hateful asses and give him a good fucking twirl!
“God!” She hissed and scrambled to her feet.
“Chloe,” Clark said. He was on his feet in an instant, but she was already stepping into the room.
She gulped. The place was a mess. It looked as though someone had been looking for something. Or, perhaps, they made it look like they had been.
“Jerry,” she said, looking around. “He’s Trey’s roommate.”
Clark cocked a brow. “You think he might have had something to do with this?”
“He went home for the weekend, so maybe not,” she said, looking over at the bathroom. The police had cleaned it up real good. She could only imagine what it must have looked like in there.
“If we can sneak in, Chloe,” Clark said, and saw a photo on the dresser.
“He does not have superpowers,” Chloe said.
“As far as you know,” Clark said, walking over to look at it.
She walked over and stood in the open doorway. The girl had said that one of the boys was hung from the pipe running from the shower to the sink. She wondered which one had been hung. Had it been Trey or Lee? The thought frightened her terribly. That was such an awful way to die. Who would so such an awful thing?
Clark picked the photo up and looked at it closely. He had seen this guy somewhere before, but where? Those smoky gray eyes seemed to burn into him.
“Wait,” Clark said, turning to look at Chloe’s back. “I saw him last night. I bumped into him soon after I left Lex’s penthouse.”
She turned around. “You did?”
“Yeah,” he said, looking back down at the photo of the black haired boy. “I wasn’t looking where I was going and plowed right into him. I don’t think he was looking where he was going either.”
Chloe snickered sadly. “That would be him. His head is…was always looking up at the stars.”
Clark walked over to her. “He must have been going to meet the guy he’s hugging.”
“That would be Lee,” she said, taking the frame from him. The two of them were so beautiful. “They are…were so adorable. Aren’t they hot?”
Clark smiled, nodding.
She looked it over with a sniff, and slipped it into her purse. Clark didn’t say a word.
“Did their parents know about them?” He asked.
Chloe shook her head. “They never told me.”
Clark nodded and walked over to the bathroom to take a look around.
Chloe walked over and took a seat at Trey’s desk. There was a Goddess statue being used as a paperweight sitting on the corner. She looked at it and smiled. Maybe she is holding them in her arms right now? That thought gave her some small comfort.
Caw!
That made her jump. She looked over at the window to see that there was a crow perched sill, looking right at her with large amber eyes. It was rapping at the window, and it made her think of The Raven. She got to her feet, and it flew off.
“Hey,” Clark said, walking back out. “I found this over behind the toilet.”
It was a ring.
She took it in her hand and looked at it. It was either silver or white gold, and it was very pretty. It looked really expensive, too.
“The eternity symbol,” Chloe said, showing it to him. “It has their initials entwined in it.”
It made her want to cry. That was when they heard a noise.
“Come on,” Clark said, picking her up in his arms. “We need to go.”
“To the morgue,” Chloe said as if she were finishing a sentence for him.
He cocked a brow. “I don’t think that’s such a good idea, Chloe. You two were friends.”
“Which is why I need to see him,” she said, putting her arms around his neck. “And Lee.”
“Are you sure?” He asked.
She nodded. “We’ll wait till dark.”
The two were gone in a whoosh.

“So,” Chloe asked him as the two got into her car. “What happened between you and Lex?”
“Nothing,” Clark lied, putting on his seatbelt.
“Don’t do that, Clark,” she said, putting the key into ignition. “You bit a sorority chicks head off without even thinking about it.”
“I was just sleepy,” he said. “I didn’t sleep well.”
“I wonder why?” She asked.
Clark just looked out his window. He really didn’t want to talk about it. If he talked about it, then it was going to make it all real. He wished he had never gone to see Lex. He should have just stayed at home, playing with his pet cow. That way he would still be in blissful ignorance. Living in ignorance was so nice. You never had to see the ugly in people.
He could hear his dad now. “What did I tell you about them Luthor’s, Clark? The apple never falls too far from the tree, Son.”
“Clark,” she said, reaching over to lightly grip his arm. “You can tell me anything.”
“I caught him,” Clark whispered.
“Caught him?” She asked, turning off onto the main road.
“On the phone,” Clark said, pointing to his ears. “I was going to sneak in and surprise him with dinner.”
Chloe looked over at him.
“He was talking to her,” he said, tightening his seatbelt, as if it wasn’t tight enough. “That bitch he was seeing from back in high school.”
“Who?” Chloe asked, not liking this at all. She thought this was just going to be something stupid. But, this was terrible.
“Victoria Whatsherface!” Clark roared. “That conniving, she devil! That temptress! That little slut! That little whore! What is it with her? You know, Chloe. She’s the little bitch, who couldn’t afford to buy a whole outfit!”
Chloe just looked at him in shock. Did Clark Kent just say all of that? She could not believe her ears.
“I want to ring her skinny little neck off!” He spat angrily, twisting the folds of his shirt. “I want to pluck out her money hungry eyes and squish them between my thumbs and index fingers.”
She turned back to the road. Okay, that was a scary image just burned into her brain. “What did Lex say?”
“My Farmboy is just a pastime, Vikki,” Clark mimicked. It was scary. He sounded just like her. “You know it’s you I want.”
Chloe turned off onto another street.
“I wanted to kick down the door, grab the phone from his hand, and scream that he’s mine you little bitch troll from hell!” He bellowed and almost cried, because it hurt like a mother.
“Didn’t she sleep with Lionel?” Chloe asked.
Clark’s nostrils flared. “Yes!”
Chloe didn’t know what to think. She saw herself taking a bat to Lex’s shiny bald head.
“A pastime,” Clark ranted. “He called me a frigging pastime, Chloe! If he wants that little slut, he can have her!”
Chloe nodded. “You don’t deserve that, Clark.”
“No,” he agreed. “I really, really don’t.”
“What are you going to do?” She asked.
Clark looked over at her with ruby red irises. “I’m going to make him wish his new “girlfriend” was hot like me.”
She quickly looked at his hands and sighed in relief. He wasn’t on the red k. But, what if he had been snorting it? “How?” She asked him.
“I don’t know,” he smiled wickedly. “But I know it’s not going to take much to have him melting in my presence.”
Chloe nodded.
“He doesn’t know that I know,” he smiled evilly.
“We’re almost there,” Chloe said.
Clark frowned. “I’m really sorry to dump this on you, Chloe.”
“Don’t worry about it,” she said, taking a hand off the wheel to punch him in the arm. “It’s helped me to prepare for what I’m about to do.”
Clark nodded. “I’ll be right there holding your hand if you want me to.”
