Prologue part 1: Ano


Konbanwa! Ano desu. *bows*

*gasp*Oh! Please forgive me. I’ve forgotten my manners. My name is Anolea Lightstar, but I go by Ano.

My mother told me when I was younger that people who know our entire name has a type of power over us. *smiles* I bet you don’t believe me. Think about it; has your mother or father ever said your whole name in one sitting? Do you remember the feeling of being caught right after? *looks confident* Aha! Told you! *smiles big*
Anyways, now that I have your attention, let me tell you about myself. I’m pretty tall for my height. *pulls out health notebook* it says here I’m 5’0” and I weigh… *pauses and then closes book* well that doesn’t matter right now. All that matters is that I can wear whatever fashion I want to. With my slightly tanned skin and large brown eyes, a lot of Gyaru hang around me and love to dress me up in the latest fashions. Sometimes I help them with their magazines.

My hair is my pride and joy. It’s a chocolately black that flows down to my mid-back area. It’s naturally wavy so I have to straighten sometimes. *pouts* Sometimes it gets really tiring. I don’t do much too it though. Mainly just tie it up into a bun during school and then dressing it up afterwards or on the weekend.
*sighs* I have no frame… I haven’t hit puberty yet. But my mom is a perfect hourglass figure. I hope I can look like her someday.

But anyways, that’s not why you’re here… nope. *leans in and whispers* you want to know the secret of the universe don’t you? *giggles* well its pretty simple. Humans do not run the planet known as Earth. *shakes head* nope. It’s actually ran by demons. But we like to have the humans feel secure , so we don’t tell them the truth. Human are a little too creative nowadays and they like to gather together in one great force. So we don’t want them to try and kill us all off simply because they don’t understand.

So, your next question would be… ‘Who runs the countries?’ Well… with the exception of America, a demon is usually a royal over that particular territory. It’s usually because that’s where they family is from, or they have put a lot of work into a country, or they were awarded the country because the last ruler sent the people/demons/mixed breeds into oppression. The latter rarely happens.

America is the only exception because its 85% occupied by humans. In other countries it can be anywhere from 15% - 20% human occupied. The leaders at the world summit think its best to have a human ruling with a few demon advisors. It took a few tries to figure out that method (you know the ‘assassinations’?) but it’s been working out pretty well.
Your next question…*listens* How do I know? Well that’s simple. My mother is the head of the world summit meetings. She’s the one that helps everyone works out their differences. It’s what they call a ‘Global ambassador’
My mother, Alex, is a fierce and powerful woman. She’s one of the last phoenix demons left on earth. She a bit taller than me and has cinnamon colored hair that flows down to her butt. People have often called her ‘sex on two legs’ and she gets along with a lot of people. No one wants to upset her because of the power she wields. But I’ve never seen her do anything without good reason. I wish I could have her refinement.
*sighs and looks down* mom wants me to follow in her footsteps on day and take her place. But I really don’t want to. It’s too much responsibility and I think I’ll make a mess of stuff. *looks out the nearby window* All I want to do it perfect my ‘two way’ prototype and become a famous net idol. Anyways…
