A Fate Ruled By Force
Author's Note- I cannot stress this enough. NOTHING SEXUAL HAPPENS UNTIL PADME IS EIGHTEEN. This story tells about how a different outcome happened, and chronicles Padme and Obi-Wan's relationship from when they first meet on Naboo. There is some slight kissing and one makeout, that's it. Padme is a fourteen year old QUEEN, her maturity is much further along than most teenage girls. I've written her to showcase that; often when watching, writing, or thinking about Padme Amidala I forgot that she was fourteen years old myself. Enjoy the story :-) Padme Naberrié Amidala stared out at the Naboo landscape as the Trade Federation’s large gunships deployed the battle droids. Her face was set in a grim smile. A queen was supposed to show no sadness, no emotions. But her people were being taken over. Naboo had no real army; they were a peaceful people. She suddenly realized that she had no choice but to put all her faith in the ambassadors that Chancellor Valorum was sending. If they couldn’t do anything, then her people were truly doomed. “Your majesty?” She turned to see her most trusted friend and handmaiden, Sabè, standing behind her in the full ceremonial robes of the queen. “Are you ready? The others are ready to help you change.” Padme nodded and stepped away from the balcony. “Do you think they will be successful Sabè?” “Chancellor Valorum has faith in them, my Queen. We must as well. I cannot predict the future.” Padme moved to the dressing chamber and her handmaidens came to remove her robes. Padme washed the makeup from her face and changed into the robes her handmaidens all wore. Amidala and the other handmaidens followed Sabè out of the chambers. Obi-Wan Kenobi followed his master along the sides of the buildings, avoiding detection. Qui-Gon Jinn suddenly stopped and Obi-Wan glanced up. Above them were battle droids escorting the Queen and her handmaidens to the gunship. Qui-Gon looked up, then down the alley, “Padawan, you leap up and save the queen. I will stay here and take care of these droids.” “Yes Master,” Obi-Wan grinned before doing a Force Jump up onto the railing. The battle droids looked up in surprise and he lit his lightsaber, slicing through two of them. Just as the others were about to attack, Obi-Wan Force-Pushed them back while deflecting two shots from another two battle droids. He turned and easily sliced them in half. Immediately, he looked around. It appeared they were safe, for the moment. Obi-Wan moved to the railing and looked down, “All clear, Master.” Qui-Gon smirked, “Good work, Padawan. Jar-Jar and I will be up shortly. Stay with the Queen, get her inside the palace.” “Yes, Master,” Obi-Wan bowed and turned to the Naboo-natives that were standing behind him, “My name is Obi-Wan Kenobi and I’m here to save you, your majesty.” Padme was awestruck with Obi-Wan Kenobi. He had leaped up to them with such grace, and his movements had been so smooth and fluid when he had turned on his lightsaber and sliced through the battle droids that had been taking them to the ship. Her eyes seemed to be attached to his body, watching how he moved and admiring his physique which, though hidden by his loose tunic, was clearly lean and muscular. She had to blink when he walked past her to talk to the “queen”. She felt a blush rise to her cheeks as her handmaidens poked her and she walked along with them. Obi-Wan fell into step next to her and she accidentally brushed up against him a few times. His eyes stayed forward but she felt his hand gently touch hers each time she caused the “accident”. Once inside they waited until another Jedi, the one Obi-Wan had called master, arrived with a Gungan in tow. Padme watched as Obi-Wan bowed to the older man and they both then turned to the queen’s group. “We are the ambassadors that the Senate sent,” Qui-Gon explained. “Your negotiations seem to have been unsuccessful.” “The negotiations never took place,” Qui-Gon said, “your majesty, we must get to Coruscant immediately. There is something dangerous at work here.” “I cannot leave, Ambassador,” Sabè spoke. Padme smiled to herself. That was the answer she would have given. “Your majesty, there is something bigger at play here,” Obi-Wan spoke up, “they could kill you if you stay.” “They wouldn’t dare!” Governor Bibble spoke up. “They need her to sign the treaty,” Captain Panaka explained, “They can’t afford to kill her.” Obi-Wan took a deep, calming breath, “This is not about some treaty, your highness. I can sense it. This is more than just an invasion.” “I must agree with my Padawan. We must get to Coruscant. We must seek the wisdom of the Jedi Council.” “You could plead to the Senate for their help,” Captain Panaka proposed. “It could be dangerous, bypassing the blockade,” Sabè said to her handmaidens. “We are brave, your highness,” Padme spoke up. “I will go, then, and plead my case to the Senate. I must convince them to help us.”
