Contagion
"I told you I was contagious Jim," McCoy let out an exasperated sigh at the figure of his captain, shivering at his doorway. Jim let out a whine and pouted, obviously looking for some sympathy towards his plight. He stood there clad in his starfleet issued pajama's, and Jim being Jim, of course he had managed to aquire fuzzy pink bunny slippers. The top blanket from his room was pulled over his head like a cloak, and held by two clenched hands at his chest, hair poking out at odd angles from under the blanket. He looked rediculously young at that moment, McCoy could picture a young Jim Kirk doing much the same to his mother when he had a cold.
"I didn't think I'd actually get it Bones!" his bottom lip trembled and he looked horribly pitiful. His nose red and face pale, shivering, and he had come to him for comfort after all. This was the first time Jim had done anything like this, and as used to his bizarre behaviour as he was, this was definitly different even compared to other times. He steeled himself, he wasn't going to give into Jim, he couldn't always let his captain walk all over him like a doormat.
"Jim, its just a head cold, some chills, a stuffy nose, aches and at most you may get a fever." This only seemed to encourage his behaviour, like he knew Bones was one moment away from cracking and letting him in.
"Pleeeeease? I'll be good, I won't hog the blankets or anything!" McCoy gave him a withered look, normally he was unsympathetic towards Jim's whining, but he had caused this after all. He had been fully aware of the chances of giving him the cold as well, but really, when did any one ever say no to James T. Kirk? He felt his resolve crack, it was hard enough to say no to Jim, but when he was a blithering mess like this well. McCoy let out a sigh and moved aside, finally allowing his captain into his quarters.
"Fine, but if you hog the blankets, your sleeping on the floor, cold or not." Jim's face lit up and he scampered right past him into the room. "Why do I have the feeling I'm going to regret this?"
