Jack Sparrow watched the sea ripple under the light rain, hypnotized by the effect it had. The freshwater felt good against him, washing away the salt from the sea. The crew was below deck, no doubt saying how mad he was to invite illness by standing out in the rain.

His hat, jacket, and pistol were in his cabin; letting the rain soak through his shirt and drip from his hair as he leaned against the rail and looked over the sea. He smiled as his thoughts turned to his cabin, or rather, who was waiting for him in his cabin. No doubt Will was watching him right now.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here shadows move of their own will
Through the twilight all all a nameless place my home
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Continuing to watch the waves, Jack wondered if it was just a trick of the light that made it look like something moved beneath the surface, or if fish were swimming close to the surface. As he watched a partcular interesting movement, another from on board caught his eye.

Will was leaning against the door frame of the cabin he and Jack shared, out of the rain and arms crossed. Jack smiled, not looking over, or bothering to acknowledge the slightly amused look his lover was giving him. Rather, Jack's mind started to bring up past images.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And castles fall into the past for you
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

He remembered disliking Will at first; the lad had almost bested him, and that was unnerving at first. Will was clever, and a lot like his sire; another thing that unnerved Jack, an brought the painful memory of learning just what had happened to his friend. And, of course, the yong Will Turner was a right pain in the ass when the mood took him to do something stupid.

Light footsteps sounded against the wet wood of the deck, and Jack silently added 'like that' to his last thought. He didn't move when he felt an arm snake around his waist.

"I thought you didn't like , lo, love."

"I don't."

Jack smiled and turned enough to look at Will.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tonight, find the starlit rain within her hands
As sand suffocates beneath the seas again
Nights such as this may find us here but once
So throw dreams away and never wish again
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"You're gettin' wet, lad."

Will smiled, rain already drippng from his hair and soaking his clothes. "So are you."

Jack couldn't hold himself back anymore and faced Will fully, drawing him into a long kiss. Pulling baJackJack repeated it with a smaller, more chaste kiss.

"Go back inside, love. I'll be in in a minute."

Will rested his forehead against Jack's, "Take any longer, and I drag you in, myself."

Jack smiled, giving Will a last kiss and letting the younger man go.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Reflections shatter in my grip
My body shivers
With energy that can believe
I struggle in your presence, though you may not see
I care for everything you are
The captain looked out over the water again, still smiling. The rain was stopping now, but darker clouds were reflected further off. He turned his gaze from his beloved ocean, to the sky above, darkened with the promise of a coming storm. The slow rain gaining at a steady pace now, Jack let it wash over him.
Even on a melancholy night, like this, Will seemed to be the only offer of peace for him. Six months ago, he would have laughed at his own romanticism. Instead, he smiled one of his usual smiles and followed the path Will had taken seconds before, closing the door to his cabin just as the first roll of thunder rumbled.
Will was just taking off his shirt, most likely planning to place it on the back of the chair at the desk to dry. Jack grinned and immediately helped Will out of the shirt, before bringing them both to the bed.
Settling above his lover, Jack studied the dark eyes below him.
"Jack," muttered Will; "you're getting the bed wet."
Jack smiled, not saying anything before taking Will's lips with his own.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The palest nights are yours
May they stand against the storm
The palest night are yours
May they live within you

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I'm never letting you go," Jack said softly, running an admiring hand through Will's damp hair. "And you'll never want for anything..."
"Possessive, Jack?" Will teased. The rumble of thunder was closer now, and Will's eyes shone in the light of the one lamp from the desk.
Jack smiled, "In love."
Well, that could've been better. If you get a chance, listen to this song! It's a beautiful one, and just reminded me of Jack. A companion piece for Will will be out soon.
