First of all, I must applaud you for writing not one but two Man Who Cried fics (You will find a review for the other under its review section). I've found that most fanfic writers ignore this movie. I believe that it is Johnny Depp's most underappreciated film, and I LOVE it. I think that Cesar is THE sexiest character that he has ever played. Yes, sexier than Captain Jack or Roux; although, those boys are numbers 2 and 3 on the sexy scale. And together they comprise my 3 favorite characters. Of course I was predisposed to like this film. Cesar is a horseman, and I am a horse owner myself. When he had that horse bow in front of Suzie, I was gone...totally and completely smitten. And I LOVE the fact that you expounded on the final scene between Suzie and Cesar. You showed us readers what the film didn't...the lovers' final night together. Highlights from it were Suzie's concerns that she wouldn't "taste good" (Cute!!!!), her insistence that Cesar call her by her given name, and finally the description of Cesar's feelings as he cried holding Suzie in that final moment between them. This was an enchanting although bittersweet piece of fanfiction. It had depth that you usually don't see in this medium. Excellent work!!!!

I'm glad someone finally wrote something about this fantastic movie. JD did a great job with his character, although he had less lines than usual.

Oh, good Lord, woman, you made me cry all over again. I don't know about you, but I was left hoping that in the fictional universe of the story, she left carrying his child. Maybe it hurts so much because I know real people lived heartaches like this because of that damned bastard Hitler.

But, yes, this was missing from the movie and it needed to be written. Thanking for writing it so beautifully. To borrow from Fedele's people ~ Mazel tov!
