Chapter 1
Title: Living the dream (hey, another fic of mine with 'dream' in the title...hmmm...something to think concerning myself... :P)
Author: Mahie/EvenStar
E-mail: persefone_rj@hotmail.com
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Jack/Will for sure :) Hints of Will/Elizabeth.
Archive: AdultFanfiction.Net and anywhere else you want. But please ask me first. Maybe I'll post it to the lists I'm in too.
Warnings: Slash, of course. If you don't like it then don't lose your time reading it and don't bug me with flames. Oh, well, I like also to write the characters without worrying if they are on character, so they might be OOC.
Summary: Post-PotC. Will and Elizabeth are married and want to join Jack's crew. Elizabeth can't fit in the life of a pirate. What is Will going to do about that when he discovers a whole new world he couldn't even imagine existed and doesn't want to leave it anymore?
Warnings/Notes: Just a thing that came through my mind. Slash, of course
(Does *anything* else comes through my mind? *g*). Graphic m/m sex. I hoped it'd be a one-shot, but I'm not surprised it turned into a four or five chapters' fic. Or even more. ;) Also, be warned that all my fics have happy endings and are romantic as hell. :P
Beta: Willow. Thanks dear!
Feedback: Please, I really love it!! But don't flame me hard...
Disclaimers: all of them belong to Walt Disney, not to me. The plot belongs to me. And Jack Sparrow belongs to wonderful Johnny Depp. :) No infringement is intended and I'm doing this for fun, not for money. "speech" 'thoughts' *emphasis*

Will and Elizabeth had just married. They were living at the governor's mansion and had everything they wanted. They had money, beautiful clothes, status. People in Port Royal thought they were the happiest couple they would ever have the pleasure of meeting. They were in love with one another and had everything they wanted. Right?
Will was a simple lad. He had never dreamed about having much money. He married Elizabeth because of his feelings for her, never because of what she could provide him. When he had told Jack he wasn't obsessed with treasure if it was silver or gold, he had meant it. He wasn't obsessed with treasure. Life was so much more than that.
Elizabeth had always been rich, but though she was a bit spoiled, she didn't care much about money either. Though she thought it was nice to have comfort and almost everything she wanted, she wasn't a mean person. She would never given up Will just because he wasn't rich.
Will also never stopped working as a blacksmith, even though he didn't need to after marrying Elizabeth. He felt better working on something and wanted to keep that link with his previous life. He couldn't just abandon it and turn into a gentleman just because he had married a lady.
It wasn't like him. So he continued to work and was happy with that.
Will and Elizabeth weren't ambitious people.
That was why, two months after the marriage, they were talking at their room in Elizabeth's house and came to a conclusion:
"I want to leave." Will said. "Can't live this life anymore. I don't belong here, Elizabeth. I dunno, I want to see the sea, and..." Will couldn't say exactly what he wanted to do, but tried to make Elizabeth realize what it was.
Elizabeth knew exactly what Will meant. She said: "I understand you, Will. I'm bored as hell too. Blame it on Jack Sparrow."
"I know." Will nodded. "So...did you think about leaving too? To turn a pirate?"
Elizabeth nodded. Will smiled at her. "When do you think we could leave?"
"We could leave today if you want. But Will...do you really think he'll have us? It's not that we know him well..."
"Liz, when you save a man's life and he saves yours it's like a bond you create. I'm sure Jack will have us. He loves us. He's our friend."
"If you say so, Will...but neither you nor me *know* what means to be a pirate. We could have had a hint, but it wasn't like really becoming one."
"Well, we've got to try. It's this or continue to leave a boring life in here. I'll be honest to you, I hate all these ceremonies we have to go. It's not my life. I was never part of the royalty. These things...talking politely with people I never met...being polite to *Norrington*, for God's sake. It's obvious he hates me because I married you. The way he looks at me...I can't stand having to be polite when I know it's not sincere."
Elizabeth understood clearly. Though she was part of the Royal family and was used to that, she didn't like it either. It was just too false.
"Do you want to try? It's a risk, Elizabeth. But what in life isn't risk?"
Liz smiled. Of course she would try.
----
Will booked passages for two in a passenger ship. He would find Jack, even if he had to go to the end of the world. He couldn't stand his life anymore. He needed to change. Needed to grow up, though he was a grown man. Anyway, he felt like he was still a boy who didn't know a thing about the world. He was closing himself into a big beautiful house and wasn't being able to really know the world for what it was.
He wasn't being able to know life for what it was. He felt like losing himself, losing his connection with the world. And he didn't want to feel like this anymore.
The ship Will had booked passages was going to an island next to Tortuga. As he didn't hope to find a ship that would *stop* at Tortuga, he thought that was the best chance they had. Once in the island, he'd take a boat or something to Tortuga.
Elizabeth was packing her things swiftly. She was excited. Though he wasn't nearly as excited as Will, she still felt it would be the best for her life. Now they would leave in three days and try to be happy in another way.
Will could barely sleep the days before the trip. He kept thinking about how it would be, live as a pirate. Now he knew a lot of things about them, and so did Elizabeth. His wife had showed him her books and notes about pirates, and Will was really interested in those after meeting Jack.
'Jack.' Will sighed. He couldn't say he wasn't excited to know he would meet the pirate again. Though they had shared so little time together, Will loved him. It was as simple as that. Jack had been that kind of person whom you like without even noticing that, in Will's opinion. He didn't know when he realized he loved Jack as a friend, but he did, and he couldn't help it. The hell with if he was a pirate or not, Will just loved him.
And sometimes he wondered if he loved him more than a friend...though he had married Elizabeth, life with her wasn't all that. Will expected more. Will was a man of great expectancies. Elizabeth was a fine woman, but was a bit repressed in bed and they couldn't talk really freely. Liz was a lady after all, and Will felt a bit shy to ask certain things to her, especially when it came to sex. Their sex life wasn't what Will expected it to be, though he loved her with all his heart. But he felt something was missing. That had also been one of the reasons why he needed to leave.
He needed to feel that excitement again, an excitement he'd never felt marrying and living with Elizabeth. They were becoming a proper couple. If they stayed they would eventually start to grow used with that boring life of ceremonies and rich parties and then it would be harder to leave it. Not to mention he would eventually become miserable. Will loved Elizabeth. He was happy she wanted to come with him. But sometimes, during the night, Will thought of Jack and how he was in bed. He knew Jack used to take a lot of whores. He had to be much experienced. Just thinking about that made Will feel aroused. And, at these times, when he was with Liz, he thought about Jack. He thought Jack was there with him, not Liz. But as quickly as the thoughts came, they went.
----
A day before their trip, Will was at the docks, looking at the sky and the sea. He sighed, thinking that he would be free soon. He looked at the horizon and that was when he saw a ship coming. Will frowned and noticed it was coming to Port Royal.
It was a great ship with white sails. In the distance Will couldn't recognise it. But when it came closer Will did. It was the Pearl.
As it had white sails now, it wouldn't be recognised by any of the sailors. The ship was totally different from what Will had seen it, but Will knew it was her.
His heart started thumping faster. Why would Jack be there in Port Royal? He was crazy, and the lad knew it. If Norrington saw him, he would take him to the noose.
Will watched the ship docking, a little far from where he was. It hadn't docked in Port Royal, but in a beach near there. Well, Jack wasn't still totally crazy, Will thought with glee. Elizabeth was at home and probably asleep, as it was almost 2 AM.
Will ran to where the ship had docked. He had to see Jack again. There had been almost eight months since their last encounter, the day Will had saved Jack from the noose.
No one could be seen in town or at the docks or anywhere. It was like the town was empty, and it felt even better like that. Will ran to the where the Pearl had docked and reached the place quickly, heart still thumping in his chest. Now even more, as he had been running.
Will take a good look at the ship. Is ths the Pearl. No doubt in that. But he couldn't see anyone aboard. Will frowned. Went to the other side of the ship. And so he saw the one he was looking for.
Jack.
He was leaving the helm and now he was going to drop anchor. Only Gibbs and a crewmember Will didn't know were with him to help dropping the anchor. They hadn't seen Will yet. Will waited and eventually Jack saw him.
Will couldn't expect Jack to smile the way he had. Not a smile, a grin. He called Gibbs and the other man immediately and they pulled Will to the ship. As soon as he came into the deck, Will said, "Jack!!" and he hugged his friend warmly. Jack returned the embrace, holding Will tightly, eyes closed. He had missed the boy, oh how he had missed him.
Jack let go of Will and without a word they went to Jack's quarters. Still silent, as if afraid of saying something, Jack poured a glass of rum for Will and another for himself. He handed Will his glass and finally said, "Sit down, Will."
Will smiled and did just that. He couldn't hide his happiness, it was written all over his face. Jack seemed to notice it. Will realized the captain was tense and they talked little but they didn't really need the talk. The silence was comfortable for both of them.
Will said, "So, why are you here, Jack?"
Jack swallowed another swig of rum and coughed. He said, "I came to see you, lad. Why else?"
Will felt his words catching at his throat. 'He came to see me. Why else?'
"I came to see you and Elizabeth." Jack spoke, as if trying to apologize for something. "I miss you." he spoke quietly.
"We miss you too." Will held Jack's hand with his own and felt Jack's breath stop for a little while. "Why didn't you come to the wedding? We could have hidden you, you know."
"I know. I'm sorry for that, Will. I-I couldn't...I couldn't come."
"Obviously you couldn't." Will smiled. "It's okay."
They drank more rum, and the silence returned, but now it was a bit tenser. Will broke it by saying what he wanted to say the time he saw Jack.
"I can't believe you're here."
Jack smiled. "Why not? So difficult to guess I'd look for you? I'm not used to leave my friends behind."
"I know," Will said warmly. "I've seen it with my eyes." He remembered the way Jack had saved him from Barbossa's hands in the caves of the Isla de Muerta. "It's not that I thought you wouldn't look for us. I'm really surprised that you're here for another reason."
"And what is that?"
"Liz and I would be leaving tomorrow to look for you. And you came looking for us," Will said warmly. "Feels like telepathy or something." Will laughed at his own craziness.
But was this really craziness?
Jack's mouth was open in awe. "You were thinking about looking for me?"
"Yes. We booked passages in a ship that's going to stop at an island next to Tortuga."
"*I* was thinking about look for you."
Will nodded. Jack said, "Why would you look for me?"
Will took a deep breath. Yes, time to ask Jack what he wanted most in the world. Jack could say yes or no, but Will was willing to try.
"We'd like to join your crew, Jack. I'll understand if you don't want it," Will said quickly. "But we are really bored here. I wish to turn into a pirate."
This time it was Jack's heart that started thumping.
"Don't want it?" Jack said in disbelief. "*Why* in hell wouldn't I want you and the lass to be in me ship?"
Will laughed nervously, but felt so relieved that he held Jack tightly.
"Thanks, Jack. You've just saved my life again."
Jack closed his eyes, still holding Will. He said, "I'd be honoured to have you and Elizabeth on me ship."
For some reason, Will didn't find it *very* sincere. But as he had seen Jack's look of joy when he had said he wanted to join his crew, Will didn't care about that.
Little did Will know at that time that Jack had been very sincere about wanting him to join his crew. What he hadn't been sincers abs about wanting Elizabeth.
Jack's tension had a name and it was Will Turner. He was completely in love with the boy since the day they met.
"I'm waking Liz right now," Will said, almost panting. "It's not safe for you to stay near Port Royal, Jack. If Norrington sees you, he'll take you to the noose." Will said and Jack shrugged. He was just too happy to care about Norrington or the gallows right now.
"Not that I wouldn't save you again." Will smiled warmly and Jack almost stopped breathing. Trying to compose himself, he said, "Call the girl. We can leave as soon as you come back."
"Okay," Will said, voice full of excitement.
Jack went with him to the deck and helped him go down.
"I'll be right back." Will promised and Jack nodded. As soon as Will spoke, he was gone.
Jack breathed. He came back to his cabin and swallowed the rest of his bottle of rum. Then he lay sprawled on his bed, with only one person on his mind.
'I love you, Will Turner.'
