Disclaimer:
I do not own the Star Wars movie series, nor any of the characters from it. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
An alternative fate
An: I do not own stars wars or anything concerning Star wars, I do not intend to make any prophet from this story its just a little fun. I’m just a huge fan. The one responsible is the incredible George Lucas. Warning, if you don’t like slash, meaning sexual relations between two members of the same gender, then this story is not for you. I would also like to mention that there will be some events from episodes one and two, plus those of you who have not seen episode three revenge of the sith yet, then please do not read this as I would hate to be the one who spoils it for those of you that haven’t seen it yet. Word of advice it is brilliant well and truly worth the wait. This story features mpreg, if that repulses you then don’t read this, you’ve been warned.
An alternative fate
Anakin Skywalker sighed wearily as he watched his wife Padme Amidala, the senator for her home planet Naboo. He watched her as she took in the star filled sky of Coruscant located in the republic. She looked radiant and seemed to glow as she held a protective and loving hand over her stomach that shielded their unborn child. She turned to face her husband, as a strand of her waist length dark brown curly hair fell into her face. She moved it a side with a careless flick of her hand.
She sighed sadly as she took in her husband’s weary posture, a sight she had witnessed with many others, as the pressure and terror of the war continued to take its toll on those who continued to fight in it day after day constantly. She slowly breeched the remaining distance separating them, and burrowed into his waiting out stretched arms gratefully. She snuggled and sighed contently, as moments like that were known to happen a lot less since the war had begun, as Anakin was constantly being sent on dangerous missions with his master Obi-wan Kenobi.
She sighed mournfully when she felt his mechanical hand and arm that reached up to his elbow, touch the bare flesh of her back. The war had clearly been hard on Anakin and the other Jedi that now sported mechanical body parts due to the war, or in Anakin’s case the end of a lightsabre courtesy of a sith apprentice.
Anakin was sadly a lot more subdued these days. But still found the time to argue with his master, or doe not as frequently as in his youth. They had seemed to have formed a comfortable bond and friendship as well as a strong master and padawan relationship. They were very close and trusted the other with his life without a second thought. After almost thirteen years of being master and apprentice they were well a tuned to each other and knew when the other was in trouble and in need of assistance.
Padme pressed a gentle and soothing kiss to the side of Anakin’s throat. She sighed as she asked “you seem more subdued then normal Ani, and I can tell it has got less to do with the current war and more to do with the Jedi council. What happened?”
Anakin returned the sigh and started to explain “well, as I told you a few days ago, the council members insisted I was to spy on the chancellor. They sense all is not as it seems with chancellor Palpatine.” Padme asked “and isn’t it?” Anakin shook his head and replied “no, the council’s assumptions are not unfounded. After I told him of the dreams I’ve been having of you dieing in child birth, he mentioned that if I learned the dark side of the force I would be able to stop you from dieing. He admitted to being force sensitive. Why would he hide such knowledge, in less that knowledge was not used for the greater good?”
Padme’s eyes widened she let out a gasp of horror and spat “Anakin Skywalker I no longer want you associating with the chancellor if he is pressuring you do evil things that go against what you have been taught and brought up to believe in. The Jedi code is what you stand by, it is what you live by Ani, please do not throw all that away I’m begging you not to do this. If you do you will lose all that is dear to you, me included. Please do not deprive our unborn child of a deserving father. I’m not going to die Ani, not all dreams are connected to future events.
Besides if you do this not only will it destroy what we have built together, it would also deeply crush Obi-wan, Ani please don’t give him an excuse to feel that he has failed you, that would destroy him and you know it’s true. Ani I refuse to except any help from anyone who is apart of anything to do with things that are considered dark or evil in any shape or form, that I’m sorry to say will also include yourself, if you do indeed take up such a vile practice.”
Anakin cuddled her closer and kissed the side of her jaw as he told her “I promise I won’t turn against the order, I won’t allow their trust in me and all their training to be all in vain. If he continues to pursue the ideas and notions that he has revealed to me I shall inform the council I promise.”
Unbeknownst to either the senior padawan almost Knight and the senator, their conversation did not go unobserved. Obi-wan had heard everything unintentionally. He had not intended to hear all of that; he had come to visit his padawan and friend to ask how his assignment concerning the chancellor was coming along. He felt a sense of dread crawl down his spine as he knocked on the door of the senator’s apartment.
