Persuasion

Persuasion

"Jack... it must be really terrible for you to be stuck on this island." Elizabeth Swann said, her head on Captain Jack Sparrow's shoulder.

"Oh, yes... but the comany is infintely better than last time, and the-" his arm snaked around her shoulders, pulling her close, and he took a peek down the front of her dress. Well, Jack was drunk, after all. "-scenery has definitely improved."

"Mr. Sparrow!" Elizabeth exclaimed, and Jack hummed in response. She pulled away from Jack, even though afterwards she felt cold. "I don't believe I've had enough rum to allow that kinda talk."

He pointed at Liz and squinted his eyes so he could see her better. "I know exactly what you mean, love." he slowly twirled his moustache, which made Elizabeth giggle. He reached out and grabbed her shoulder to steady himself, but his hand ventured across her back. She smiled, and held out her bottle of rum out in front of her.

"To freedom." she said simply.

"To the Black Pearl." Jack replied, clinking his bottle against hers. He took a deep drag and fell back, dead asleep.

Oops. So long to that feeling.

"Might I inquire as to how you came upon these?" Jack asked, waving the letters of marque in the air.

"Persuasion." Elizabeth answered, not sure if she was beginning to get annoyed or beginning to flirt. Maybe a little of both.

"Friendly?" Jack asked and smiled when Elizabeth closed the gap between them.

Her face was inches from his own. "Decidedly not."

Jack smirked and turned around, folding the letters in threes. "Will strikes a deal for these and upholds it with honor, yet you’re the one standing here with the prize. Full pardon. Commission as a privateer on behalf of England and the East India Trading Company. As if I could be bought for such a low price." he pocketed the letters.
"Jack, the letters, give them back." Elizabeth said, chasing after Jack.
He stopped. "No." and smiled. "Persuade me."
She stepped closer to him, so her front was touching his back. "You do know Will taught me how to handle a sword."
Jack's smile faultered a bit at the boy's name, but he remembered that he could beat Will in a swordfight. His smile returned. "As I said." Jack turned around, so his face was inches away from hers. "Persuade me."
She frowned, then nodded, and walked away, leaving Jack to stifle a mix of a laugh and distress- he didn't get what he wanted.

Night had fallen, and Elizabeth made her way over to the Captain's Quarters. She was in her pirate attire, save for missing a few buttons on her top. She was getting dressed when she decided to do this. Her hair was blowing away from her face, and her eyes were deep in thought... and lust. She made a quick scan of the deck, not that she really cared now, and saw that no one was there. Elizabeth hurried over to Jack's private apartment and found the door unlocked. She gently turned the handle, opened it, and walked inside, clicking the door shut.
Jack had his back towards her, so he had no clue at all who was behind him. His eyes were pouring over a map, his compass opened next to his hand.
"No, Mr. Gibbs, I do not have a heading yet." Jack said, thinking it was his first mate. He took a swig of rum from the bottle on his desk and put it down. "I'm about to lose my head, though. This bloody compass keeps pointing towards the cabins."
Elizabeth walked over, grabbed the bottle of rum and took a sip from it, and placed it back down on the table. "Who said it was Mr. Gibbs?" she smiled and chuckled.
Jack followed the hand wrapped around his bottle and found it was attached to an arm. Good! Hands do tend to be connected to arms... oh, he was starting to feel the effects of the rum. He followed the arm up and found that it belonged to the lovely Lizzie Swann- who was, currently, the only person who appeared in his dreams as of late.
"Miss Swann." Jack dropped his charcoal pencil and leaned back in the chair, folding his arms together. "Might I inquire on why your here?"
Liz smiled a coy smile at Jack and walked back over to the door and locked it. This caught Jack's interest, and he stood up, smiling. He knew what she wanted- and good ol' Captain Jack could give it. He turned to face her.
"Lizzie?" he asked softly, allowing the nickname he gave her roll of his tounge. "To what do I owe the pleasure?" he asked, and found his hand stroke her hair away from her face. He saw that her first few buttons were undone, revealing her bare, white skin. This definitely caught Jack's interest.
"Persuasion." she said, and pressed her body against Jack's, causing him to lean back on his desk. "The friendly kind." her mouth hovered above his, ready to start her 'persuasion'.
Something snapped in Jack's mind- William. His good friend William- who he basically placed on Jone's ship- this was his girl. Jack gulped, and gently pushed her away. "Lizzie, I would love this..." he glanced at her bare shoulder poking out of her shirt. "... oh, GOD would I love this... but you belong to William."
This made her stand straight up, which gave Jack a chance to straighten up and walk hesitantly to the door to open it. But he felt Lizzie wrap her arms around his chest, and in spite of himself, he closed his eyes and enjoyed the sensation of her hands roaming his front.
"I don't belong to anyone." she slid her hand over the front of his pants and back up, feeling, with satisfaction, that he really did want it. "Savvy?" she smiled, loving the feeling of Jack's favorite word rolling off her tounge.
Jack melted, and turned around, taking her mouth into his, kissing her deeply and passionately. Lizzie opened her mouth slightly to allow Jack to explore her mouth with his tounge. His eyes were closed, and an image flashed through his mind: William, and how upset he would be if he found out that Liz had relations with Jack. He felt guilty enough about how he stuck his only best friend onto a cursed ship, and broke off the kiss.
"No!" he said, and ran towards his desk.
Elizabeth sighed and choked back tears, and sat down on Jack's little bed, upset. Will had done this to her also- and he persisted that they waited until they married. But Elizabeth didn't want to wait any longer- she didn't want to wait for anything any longer than she had to. She wanted to be free to do what she wants. Rejection hurt.
"I don't love Will like that anymore." she sighed, telling the truth sucked. "I hven't for a very long time now."
Jack turned to her and frowned at the way she looked. Her head was down, her foot absent mindly rocking in a rhythmic pattern, playing with her thumbs. It distressed him.
"Why are you searching for him, then?" he asked, confused.
"Well, I don't want to see him dead! And... at first I thought that that is what I really wanted- to start things over with him." She glanced up at Jack, who was making his way over to her, and looked back down at her hands. "The truth?"
"The truth, please." Jack said, sitting down next to her.
"I broke off the wedding." she sighed, and looked away from Jack. "I'm in love with someone else." She turned her head to look into Jack's eyes, to see his reaction. It was mixed- she couldn't find her answer.
Jack understood. He felt the same way.
"Elizabeth..." he said, but was cut off by Elizabeth shushing him. She leaned in and kissed him sweetly, and sadly at the same time. When they broke apart, she spoke.
"Please don't say anything." she sniffed back tears. "I already know. You have the Pearl."
Elizabeth quickly got up and unlocked the door, running away from Jack. She didn't care who saw her.
Jack remained seated, watching the one he loved walk away, again.
"No, you don't know." he muttered, and got up. He closed the door and walked back over to his map, resuming his captain duties.
So much for persuasion.
