Vaako slowly made his way through the quiet village-city, only a few up at this hour after the late night festivities.

Quickly making his way into the dome, after a considering look from one of the warrior guards, he found his way to Riddick's room. Pausing at the door, he hesitated in indecision to knock or walk in. It was taken from him when the door opened to reveal Riddick in a tank top and loose pants.

Stepping back, he opened the door wider for Vaako to enter, before closing it behind him.

"Are our guests here yet?" Vaako asked as he looked over to the bed area, seeking evidence of whether Riddick had company or not. Seeing only mussed sheets, and Riddick's clothes, he breathed a sigh, daring to hope he spent the night alone.

"Nah, they'll be here soon though. I just spoke to Trey after my shower and he said he was picking up breakfast and Rayna," Riddick said as he moved to sit at the breakfast table. Looking up and seeing Vaako staring at the bed, he frowned and swatted his arm, tugging him to sit at the table.

"Take a load off."

"Trey? Wasn't he the boy you befriended when you arrived on the planet?"

"Yeah, and he has a buddy he considers his sister, a girl named Rayna. He asked if I'd eat breakfast with them, so I thought, what the hell, why not. You don't mind do ya?"

"So is he who you were with last night?"

"Yeah. I was taking a tour with Risa, and we ended up at the kid's center breaking up a party. She stayed and we went back, after a quick training session."

"Ah," Vaako said as the corners of his mouth slowly turned up.

"Ah, what?" Riddick asked, the crease in his forehead indicating his confusion eyes at Vaako's satisfied face.

"Nothing...It just seems you've inherited a family member already."

"Yeah, yeah. He's a good kid. I don't mind him so much."

Vaako couldn't help the real smile that broke out, amused that the dangerous, fierce man lounging in the seat across from him was effectively de-clawed when it came to children. Feeling Riddick's glare behind his goggles, Vaako's gaze took in the room, and sitting so close to it, his eyes travel to the empty bed.

"Hold that thought until later," Riddick said with a smirk, making Vaako flush and raise an eyebrow at him.

"My mind hadn’t wandered that far as of yet," Vaako said, shifting his arm until his fingers brushed against Riddick's large hand. Riddick watched him silently, tilting his head at the man's bent head. Vaako felt the change in him from playful to serious, and kept his eyes down, intently studying the man's long, think fingers. Taking a breath, Vaako's heart sped up as he lifted Riddick's arm, bringing their hands together. Not daring to look at the man opposite him, lest he find a furious expression on his face at the intimate touch, he quietly studied their differences. Where his fingers were long, but not as thick, they were equally callused. Still, the varying locations of said calluses showed their personal preference in weapons. He slowly laced their fingers together, his breath stopping in his chest when Riddick tightened his grip.

"You want to tell me something, Vaako?" came his deep, gravelly voice.

Vaako made himself breathe, unconsciously steeling himself as he raised his head to meet Riddick's.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door, and Vaako broke their connected hands in startlement. Glancing at the door, he sighed and sat back before looking up.

"You should get that," he said in a low voice.

Riddick's narrowed his eyes, not pleased at the interruption, but determined to take it up later.

"We'll finish this later," he said, rising to let the kids in. Vaako took a deep breath as Riddick brushed by him, fisting the hand still tingling from the warmth of Riddick's touch. Almost as if to keep the sensation as long as possible.

Rising, he turned as Riddick swung the door open, revealing a smiling teen, and a small rosy hand clutching at his pant leg before stepping back to let them in.

"Riddick! We brought breakfast. And this is Rayna," Trey said as Vaako took the tray from him and placed it on the table.

Stepping to the side, Trey tugged the little girl from behind him. Barely reaching Trey's hip, she stood as tall as Riddick's mid-thigh. Thick, long, wavy platinum blond hair was brushed back into a ponytail, revealing luminous amber eyes.

"Rayna, this is Riddick," Trey said pointing to the man by her side.

"Hey," Riddick said when she looked up at him, head tilting as she seemed to measure and weigh his worth with a glance.

"Full name?" she asked in a quiet voice. Trey shrugged and leaned in close.

"She has this thing about people's names and studying them, though she doesn't talk much. But once she examines you, she's good," he whispered, shrugging again. Vaako raised an eyebrow at him as if to say, 'what do you want me to do.'

"Richard B. Riddick."

Glancing up and raising an eyebrow at Vaako, who just grinned back at him, he found his pants leg vigorously yanked until he looked down. Arms up and wide, she bounced to clearly indicate what she wanted. Riddick rubbed the back of his head, before bending to pick her up. She stared at him closely, than lightening quick, reached up to take his goggles off. Riddick jerked his head out of her reach, catching her hand as she tried again.

"Hold on a minute," he said, casually flashing a finger with his free hand at Vaako's amusement. Stepping back into the shadow of the room, away from the light coming through the window, he put Rayna down on a wardrobe cabinet. Pulling his goggles off he slowly slit his eyes open, blinking as Vaako pulled the shades to further darken the room. Fully opening his eyes, he stared back into the amber orbs that studied him so closely.

Rayna reached up and ran her slender hand over his head, eyes darting from his bristly scalp to his glowing eyes. Finished with her inspection, she smiled and leaned into his chest, wrapping her arms around his neck.

"Brother Riddick," she said, her soft voice muffled in his tank.

Patting her awkwardly for a moment, he was glad to see Trey and Vaako move closer out of the corner of his eye. Turning to them, Trey beamed at him, clearly happy that he got along with her...Or probably happy that he was actually accepted. Vaako leaned against the wall beside them, smiling softly at the protective grip Riddick held her with.

Meeting his eyes, Riddick smirked and tugged at Rayna until she lifted her head and pointed at him.

"That's Vaako. Cylus Vaako."

The little girl raised her head to stare at him in turn, then scrambled to get down. Riddick tightened his grip as she almost fell, and put her down, watching with interest as she stood and looked at Vaako.

He looked back down at her, and smiled softly at her serious face.

"Hello."

Again, holding her arms up, she indicated that she wanted to be picked up, and Vaako obliged. Holding still as she ruffled her hands through his hair, he waited until she was finished her inspection. Her exploration came to a halt when she encountered the needle mark in his neck, careful fingers running over it. Pulling back to stare into her eyes, he was surprised to see a well of sadness reflected back in hers.

"Brother Vaako," she said, hugging him tight.

Grinning to try and erase the sadness lingering in her eyes, he swung her around to the table, all three men wincing at the resultant squeal.

Sitting her down he studied the food on the tray, asking her her opinion on everything, which seemed to amuse her greatly. As she only nodded yes, or no to everything said to her, Riddick threw Trey a questioning look. Trey glanced over and saw her occupied with Vaako's nose, and leaned towards him.

"She doesn't talk much. She never has as long as I can remember. She doesn't get along to well with the other kids either. They think there's something wrong with her, but she's really sweet," he whispered with a tinge of sadness.

"That's why I try to hang around her as much as possible. And make sure none of the kids bother her."

Riddick nodded as he watched the beautiful little girl smile at the faces Vaako made to entertain her.

"Well looks like she picked up a couple more protectors," he said flashing Trey a grin. Trey beamed and attacked his food with gusto and soon all four were done, bringing an end to their time together.

As the children began to leave, Rayna stopped and turned back, pulling out two pieces of twine, both with beautifully carved and polished, black wood feline creatures attached. Moving quickly, she tied them to their arms, clearly pleased when she stepped back.

Trey frowned and leaned close to whisper, though he was heard by the keen men.

"You know Vaako's not a Furyan, right Rayna? It isn't appropriate for him to have a clan tie."

Rayna's head whipped around, and glared daggers at Trey, stomping her little foot with force.

"Brother Vaako," she said loudly.

"But Rayna-"

"Brother Vaako!" Rayna said again, this time turning and running down the hall.

Trey flushed and shrugged, as he rubbed the back of his head.

"Sorry about that. She gets it in her head about something, and you can't talk her out of it. Bye," he said as he turned and jogged after his sister.

Watching them go, Vaako traced the twine on his wrist with a frown on his face. Feeling a hand on his arm, he turned and stepped back into the room before sitting on the bed.

Feeling it dip beside him, he looked up as he slipped the tie off his wrist.

"She seemed pretty pissed when Trey said you shouldn't have it. Why take it off?"

"You heard Trey. Perhaps this has some meaning or symbolism to your race. I shouldn't wear it if it might cause ill will."

Riddick studied him for a moment before deciding this was a good time as any for that chat.

"So we gonna talk about this?"

"About what?" Vaako said as he moved to sit up against the head of the bed. Riddick sat up and pulled Vaako's armored top and undershirt off, leaving his chest bare before sliding his boots off. Grabbing a leg, he pulled until Vaako was flat on his back before stretching out next to him.

"About what's got you all wound up lately, about the hand holding thing before the kids got here."

"There's nothing to talk about," Vaako said as he flushed, sitting up to get off the bed, but Riddick had him pinned in a second.

"Now I said we'd have it out, so we can do it the hard way or the easy way."

Vaako narrowed his eyes and twisted with an upward jerk, trying to dislodge the man holding him down.

"So I guess it's the hard way," Riddick growled, grabbing hold of Vaako's wrists, yanking them up as he shoved a leg between his thighs. They grappled for several moments, Vaako almost making his way out of the bed, but ultimately losing the battle.

Breathing heavily, both men stared at each other, Vaako looking away first, closing his eyes rather see what was in Riddick's glowing ones.

Riddick decided that loosening the man's tongue would be easier if he was lost in a haze. Smirking, he lowered his head, licking his lips before taking the enticing, plump red lips. Grinning as Vaako jerked and gasped against him, he deepened the kiss, thoroughly tasting the moist cavern as it opened like a hungry insect catcher.

Vaako moaned, shuddering when Riddick pulled away to kiss his jaw, sinking his teeth into the flesh below his ear.

"Now. Let's try this again. What's been going on, say since you came down here?" Riddick asked as he darted his tongue into his ear, breathing hot air against the wetness. Vaako shut his eyes, biting his lower lip, only to let it go with a soft sound, panting as he was suddenly bitten and licked.

"I..." Vaako said, groaning when Riddick pulled away. Opening his eyes, he stared up into glowing eyes inches from his own.

"Try that again."

Flushing, Vaako pulled at the hands holding his wrists, sighing when Riddick smirked, easily entangling their hands. Leaning his head back against the pillow, he slowed his breathing, a catch breaking the rhythm when Riddick grinded against him.

"Riddick...Rick," he whispered, arching up as he pleaded with his eyes.

Riddick narrowed his eyes and slowed down infinitesimally, never breaking eye contact as they rocked together.

"Tell me," he rumbled, tilting his forehead down to rest against Vaako's, watching as they dilated, black almost completely encompassing the hazel irises.

"It...it was the part of the prophecy saying you would find a companion of your own race. Then it was Mother Soryn, doing her best to make sure I realized I'm not Furyan, and that you could do better with an heir bearing woman. Then it was me, wondering what happens in the end. What place do I have in your life? When would you decide you've had enough of us? Would you 'really' be better off with a Furyan mate?" Vaako said, sighing when Riddick halted the dance of their hips.

"I thought you had taken someone to bed last night. When I discovered you didn't, I wanted to touch you, wanted to feel like you were mine. So I did. Then I decided it doesn't matter who your companion will be. 'I'm' with you now," he said, tilting his head up to brush against Riddick's lips.

Riddick stilled his body and released his grip on Vaako's hands, leaning up on his forearms, trapping Vaako in the middle. Vaako's hands came down to wrap under his arms and around his back, entwining his legs with Riddick's.

"Yours, huh. Kinda possessive aren't ya?" Riddick asked with a smirk.

Vaako shrugged and scratched lightly at the muscled back under his hands, eyes drifting to his neck and chest, unconsciously licking his lips.

"I figure you can handle it with everything else you've been through," he said lightly, flattening his hands to smooth over his back.

"Right," Riddick said, leaning forward to mouth at his throat. Licking a trail up to his lips, he kissed him deeply, reaching one hand down to cup Vaako's cock through his pants. Reaching inside, he idly swept his thumb over the leaking tip.

"Seeing as how good the sex is, I can ignore your 'companion' obsession," Riddick said, kissing his reddened lips, smirking when Vaako chuckled against his mouth.

"Let's see what else I can get you to ignore," Vaako said, knowing full well he was fortunate Riddick didn't push further. They hadn't scraped the surface of his actual feelings.

~~~
"What were you thinking? You should have stayed with him the entire night!"
"Mother Soryn, the children needed to be watched and Trey wasn't capable at the time to-"
"It doesn't matter now!" Mother Soryn said with a sigh.
"At least you still have a chance. We'll just have to find another situation to get you two together..."
"It's amazing how far you've stuck your nose in my business," Riddick said as he lounged against the door frame, smirking when both women whirled around at his voice.
"Riddick! I didn't see you there," Mother Soryn said, smiling as she gestured for Risa to leave.
Riddick nodded at Risa as she scraped by him, grinning when she flushed slightly as she inclined her head. His eyes turned to Mother Soryn, silent as she sat in her seat with a dignified air, browsing the data pads of Furyan information.
He pushed off the frame and glided towards her, grabbing a chair and flipping it around before straddling it. She glanced up, her eyes falling on his bare shoulder.
"Are you alright?" she asked pointing at his shoulder.
"What, this?" Riddick asked, turning his head to inspect the scratch marks down the side.
"Me and Vaako had a tumble this morning," he said, narrowing his eyes at the almost pleased expression on her face, "in bed. He's an animal when you get him going."
She flushed as her hands tightened on the pad in her grip, her brow creasing in a frown.
"Riddick-"
"Wait, I know what you're gonna say. He's not Furyan? Or I can do better, right?" he asked, head tilting as he met her eyes.
"Why so worried about the prophecy, Mother Soryn? You said yourself, it's practically written in stone, right?"
"It is fated to come true, yes."
"Then why don't you let it happen. What you wanted to be able to say, 'I helped it along?'"
"No, of course not...I just want what's best for you."
Riddick sighed and ran a hand over his scalp, pausing in thought for a moment.
"You want the best for me, but you're coming off as a meddler. If you believe in the prophecy so much, let it take its course."
Mother Soryn closed her eyes for a breath, and opened them to the man she had come to think of as her's to protect and look after. But he was right, his fate was sealed, and whatever came into his life would come without her help.
"You are right. I'll refrain from, 'meddling' any further. But it was all done for you, you know. Your returning to us has brought me much joy, and I wanted everything to be perfect. But it is not up to me to make it so."
"So you'll back off of Vaako, and stop sending the women after me?" he asked with a grin.
"Yes, it will be as you say," she said with a genuine smile.
"Now why don't you take these and study them with your Vaako. I'll keep the rest here for later."
"Right. We'll catch up with ya later."
~~~

"Mmm," Vaako moaned as a hot mouth buried itself in his neck. Opening his eyes, he stared at the wall opposite him, as hands made themselves at home on his body.

"You smell good when you just wake up," Riddick growled in his ear. Vaako shuddered and groaned when his nipple was tweaked by a rough hand, his sack cupped in another as a hard body slid along his back.

He was forcefully kissed as he flipped over, and propped himself up on Riddick's chest. Pulling away from the kiss, he noticed Riddick was fully clothed, though his goggles were on the end table.

"Where were you?" he asked, leaning forward to rest his forehead against Riddick's shoulder.

"Just had a little visit with Mother Soryn. She's says to watch the nails next time," Riddick said, chuckling when Vaako choked. Whacking his back to help, Riddick wrapped his other arm around his narrow waist.

"Really?" Vaako asked, once he calmed down, "I see you two had an interesting conversation."

"Yeah, it was. But at least she's going to back down on the prophecy shit."

Vaako smiled and shut his eyes for a minute, relaxing into the hard body half under his. Riddick's large warm hand rubbed up and down his spine, his other hand resting on his hip.

"Don't fall asleep," Riddick said, as Vaako's weight became heavier. He stopped rubbing his back, and squeezed the hip under his hand.

Vaako sighed and raised his head to stare into opalescent glowing eyes set in Riddick's attractive face.

"Here's some info Mother Soryn gave me for us to look over," he said reaching over to grab the pads she handed him. Vaako slid to the side of him, took one, and began reading.

They were silent for some time, each in their own thoughts about the information they were studying. Until Vaako reached a section about lost Furyan rituals. Coming upon several passages, one jumped out at him about ancient pairs. The passionate bonding declaration swam in his head, an unknown force compelling him to speak them out loud.

"Nostrum consensio sono sicco volo,
Nostrum vinculum no pro infinitio.
Nos es fatum evinco totus,
'Til qua nos may cado.
Permissum nemo tear nos asunder,
'Lest they persolvo pro suum blunder."*

Suddenly short of breath, Vaako dropped the pad as a spell of dizziness passed through him. As the dizziness faded, he looked up to find Riddick inches from his face, the intensity in his eyes making him again gasp for breath. His heart beat so hard it felt as if it would come through his chest.

Vaako's moaned when Riddick growled the words back against his lips, one hand cupping the back of his head, the other gripping his ass.

"Rick," Vaako said before all thought was swept from his mind with an intense blaze of desire. The other man didn't answer as he kissed him thoroughly, pulling him up so they were flush against each other. Yanking at Riddick's shirt, he pulled it up and off, as Riddick slid out of his pants before pressing against him. Moaning softly at the feel of Riddick's body, Vaako tilted his head and deepened the kiss, heat searing his body everywhere they were in contact.

Sliding his hands from Riddick's shoulders, Vaako rubbed his nipples before taking his hard cock in hand. Spreading the slick come around, he set a tight pumping rhythm, sucking on the tongue exploring his mouth.

Growling harshly, Riddick suddenly shoved him backward on the bed, grabbing one leg and pushing it up as he felt between his cheeks, two fingers plunging inside his opening. Crying out, Vaako arched as Riddick's wide fingers worked in him up to the hilt, finding and pressing a spot inside. Stars burst behind his eyes as Riddick repeatedly hit his spot, cries ripping from his chest.

Grunting when he found Vaako still slick and open from the morning, Riddick pulled the other leg up, hands leaving prints on each pale thigh. Reaching up he grabbed some pillows and put them under Vaako's hips, moving one leg to rest on his shoulder. Holding one thigh wide open to see his spasming hole, the other held his cock in place.

"Okay?" Riddick growled, barely able to think enough to keep himself from plunging in the spasming hole massaging the head of his cock. Everything was done with a fleeting thought, the fire burning in him quickly taking away his rationality.

"Yes!" Vaako growled, pulling his leg down on the shoulder it rested on, hurrying him on. The heat pulsing in his cock and chest robbed him of any thought, other than to be with the Furyan male chosen as his own.

"Rick," Vaako gasped as Riddick buried himself to the hilt with one thrust. Riddick closed his eyes, gritting his teeth at the tight heat gripping him. Waiting until Vaako's muscles unclenched before moving, he slid out. Pausing before plunging back in, he watched Vaako bite his lip as his cheeks flushed anew in pleasure.

Angling with each thrust until he hit Vaako's prostate, he set a steady pace, growling at each cry forced from Vaako's lips. The fire in his gut flared, an encompassing want making him pound into Vaako's tight, pulsing hole. Soon even that wasn't enough, and he pulled out as he shrugged Vaako's leg off, sliding his hands under him and flipping him over. Plastering his front to Vaako's sweaty, flushed back, he shoved back in, his grunt mirroring Vaako's.

Each man strained against the other for completion as sweat dripped from their forms. Vaako shoved back to meet each plunge, bracing himself on the arms wrapped around his chest as Riddick snapped his hips against his firm ass, burying his face against Vaako's neck.

"Not enough..." Riddick growled, as he fiercely slammed into the bent body under him.

"Please..." Vaako gasped, the heat that pulsed pleasantly now raging, searing his chest and sweeping his body. He ached with need, a need he didn't understand.

"Rick, please."

Riddick pulled free, grabbing Vaako and turning him to sit with his back against the headboard. Grabbing his leg to place it over his shoulder, and guiding the other around his waist, Riddick straightened up until Vaako was off the bed. Bodily tilting Vaako to line up with his cock, he lowered him with a bruising grip, tense until he was completely impaled.

Staring into dilated eyes, Riddick leaned forward to plunder his mouth, each slide of his tongue in time with his lower half. Thrusting urgently, they rocked together in a frenzy, both eager to reach climax.

Vaako tossed his head back, gasping as each thrust stoked a fire he thought would burn him alive. Riddick mouthed his throat, sucking and kissing as they moved. Vaako gripped his head, holding him still as his lower body slammed into him. Resting their heads together, air brushing his lips from Riddick's open mouthed pants.

"Redimio nos , mei," Vaako whispered against Riddick's lips. **

Riddick jerked out of Vaako's grip and growled, sinking his teeth into the juncture of Vaako's neck and shoulder to mark him. Jerking as he sprayed them with his seed, Vaako in turn sunk his teeth in the same spot, whimpering when the man slammed him up against the headboard with the force of his orgasm.

Heavy breathing filled the room, followed by a soft groan as Riddick pulled out and carefully placed Vaako down on the bed. Vaako stretched out the kinks in his body, Riddick massaging his cramped legs and hips. Reaching up to pull Riddick down, Vaako sighed as Riddick's hand landed on his ass, possessively kneading him as they wrapped around each other.

"What the hell was that?" Riddick asked exhaustedly, only the strangeness of what just happened keeping awake. He looked down at Vaako and found him dead to the world. Shrugging, he decided to find out what was going on later. He lay his head back down, and followed Vaako under.

*Our harmony sings out to me,
Our bond made for eternity.
We are destined to conquer all,
'Til wherever we may fall.
Let no one tear us asunder,
Lest they pay for their blunder.

** Bind us, mine.
