Elizabeth whimpered into Jack’s mouth as he kissed her hard pushing his tongue deeply into her mouth. Her hands slipped down to grasp his shoulders her nails biting into his flesh through the fabric of his dirty white shirt. Pulling back to give herself room she spoke in a strained whisper her breath warm against his face and neck.

“Jack…we can’t…not now.”

“Why not?”

“Because Will…he’s going to be home soon.”

Jack let out a groan as he propped himself up on his elbows still laying over her. Elizabeth sat up leaning back on her own elbows as she looked up at him with pleading tea colored eyes making him frown. So the whelp was going to ruin the moment without even being here was he? Jack shook his head as if responding to the voice that echoed inside his head. No he wouldn’t let the whelp take her from him…not after the sacrifice that he had just made…not after he had told her the very words that he had vowed to never utter to any woman.

“I don’t care.”

“What?”

“Ye heard me Elizabeth…I said I don’t care. Let the whelp come home an’ find ye here with me. Ye don’t love him…ye can’t love him…not if ye willingly give yerself t’ me ye can’t.”

“Jack…you know that I love you…but he’s my husband.”

“Leave him Elizabeth…come away with me?”

“Jack I…where would we go?”

“We could slip out of town on the first merchant ship we see an’ never look back…make our way t’ Tortuga an’ meet up with Gibbs an’ get me ship back.”

“That’s what this is about isn’t it? You want to be back on the Pearl…it has nothing to do with me .”

“Love it’s always about ye…it has everything t’ do with ye…I tried t’ get ye t’ come with me the night ye married William if yer memory serves.”

“My memory is just fine…and if yours serves then you will remember that it had been years since I had seen you before that night. Jack…let me up I have to go.”

“Go where? T’ be the good dutiful little wife t’ dear William? The two of ye haven’t spoken in weeks love.”

“I know that…but I’m still his wife Jack…let me up.”

“Yer scared aren’t ye?”

“What? Nonsense…I’m not scared of anything.”

“Course ye are…that’s why yer practically running away from me love.”

“Oh you’re ridiculous…let me up!”

“I’ll let ye up after I’m finished with ye love.”

His lips descended upon her neck leaving a scorching trail of kisses down it until he reached the tops of her creamy little perky alabaster breasts. She squirmed under his touch making him chuckle against her breasts his moustache tickling her soft skin. Her hands came up to try and push him away at first before she finally relented and just wrapped her arms around his neck to pull him closer. She felt him nudge her thighs apart as he settled in between them. His hands disappeared beneath the skirt of her dress to slide up her thighs making her muscles twitch in anticipation. Soon he was pulling her knickers down past her hips until they reached her ankles and she kicked them off hastily along with her shoes. Jack quickly unfastened his breeches freeing his erection that had been desperately straining against the fabric of his breeches. Elizabeth lifted her hips off the bed as Jack pushed her skirt up making it bunch up around her hips. He took his throbbing erection into his right hand and guided it to her body easily slipping inside her slick center. The two were so wrapped up in each other that they didn’t notice the door to Jack’s room slowly opening. Miriam’s green eyes widened when she saw the two of them on Jack’s bed. They were going at it like a couple of animals their moans and grunts echoing throughout the room. She pressed her hand over her mouth to stifle the gasp that was threatening to tear from her throat as she watched Jack’s hips rock towards Elizabeth as he buried himself inside her. She could feel her face starting to burn as she continued to stare at them. A frown stretched across her beet red face the longer she looked at them. She couldn’t believe that they were at it again…and so close to time for Will to be coming home! Did the two of them have no shame?

Her head whipped around quickly when she heard the butler greet Will as he walked into the mansion. Miriam’s green eyes widened as she glanced back into Jack’s room through the crack in the open door. They were still entangled in each others arms as they rocked against each other frantically trying to reach their release. Should she warn them? No…that would be enabling them to continue this disgusting affair of theirs! But she couldn’t bear to see Will hurt…and she knew how much he loved Elizabeth. Seeing her and Jack together like this would break his heart…she had to stop him from coming upstairs. Quietly pushing the door shut she raced down the stairs to meet Will just as he reached the bottom of the staircase and was about to start heading towards the bedroom he shared with Elizabeth. Looking up he smiled when he saw Miriam standing at the foot of the staircase in front of him.

“Oh hello Miriam.”

“Hello Mr. William.”

“Oh please…it’s just Will…no need for the formalities Miriam.”

She blushed as she nodded.

“Yes sir…um Will.”

“Well if you will excuse me…I need to go greet my wife.”

“Why don’t you just go sit in the sitting room and let me pour you a nice glass of brandy? I’m sure you had a long day sir…um I mean Will.”

He smiled as he let her lead him away from the stairs and back towards the sitting room. She chanced a quick glance back at the stairs as she ushered him into the sitting room. Her heart was hammering against her ribcage loudly as she made her way over to the sofa to lead Will over to it. Smiling he sank down onto the sofa and let her take his coat to go and hang it up on the coat rack that was in the corner of the room.

“I’ll be right back…just let me go fetch the brandy from the cellar?”

“Certainly…thank you Miriam…but you really don’t have to fuss over me.”

“Oh of course I do…you have worked hard all day…it’s my pleasure.”

Miriam shut the door behind her as she walked out of the sitting room. Taking a moment to lean back against it she sighed heavily. What was she going to do now that she had him in the sitting room? Seeing Kate another one of the maids she gestured to her.

“Yes Miriam?”

“Do me a favor and go get the brandy from the cellar and leave it on the table outside the door by the sitting room?”

“Alright.”

“Thank you…and hurry please?”

Nodding Kate eyed Miriam closely trying to figure out what had the young woman so anxious. Miriam waited until Kate was out of sight to bolt up the stairs towards Jack’s room. Why she was warning them was beyond her understanding but she just knew that she couldn’t let Will find his adulterous wife in such a compromising position. Reaching the bedroom she didn’t even bother to knock as she barged into the bedroom. The two of them pushed apart quickly Elizabeth yanking her dress back down quickly and Jack fastening his breeches hastily. Apparently they had just finished.

“Miriam? What the hell has gotten into you?”

“Your husband is home and is downstairs in the sitting room…I stopped him from coming upstairs so that he wouldn’t find the two of you fornicating like the animals you are! You can thank me later…now get out of here before I change my mind!”

Elizabeth scowled as she reached down and grabbed her knickers and shoes from the floor before standing up and pushing past Miriam through the door to her bedroom. Turning around quickly she poked her finger in Miriam’s chest as she spoke.

“Watch how you speak to me Miriam…you are still just a servant. Don’t forget where I found you because you can go back just as easily!”

“You should be more concerned with freshening up before your husband comes upstairs…you stink of sex and rum.”

Elizabeth scowled as she turned sharply on her heel and stormed off towards her room. Miriam grinned pleased with herself as she hurried back downstairs to the sitting room. Seeing the bottle of brandy on the table outside in the hall she scooped it up quickly before walking back into the sitting room. Will still sat on the sofa his head tilted back and his eyes closed. His breathing was slightly labored…he had fallen asleep while waiting for her to come back! She smiled to herself as she watched him sleep for a moment before clearing her throat just loud enough for him to wake up. Fetching a glass from the buffet table she pulled the cork from the bottle of brandy and poured him a generous glass. Handing it to him she placed the cork back into the bottle before heading towards the door to take it back down to the cellar. But Will’s voice made her stop just at the door.

“You don’t have to rush off Miriam.”

“Oh…no sir…I mean Will…it’s just there’s work to be done.”

“Well I would like some company…and being that my wife is no where to be found…would you care to join me?”

“I beg your pardon?”

“For some nice conversation…forgive my rudeness.”

“Oh…yes of course.”

He patted the seat next to him on the sofa and she smiled nervously as she set the bottle of brandy back down on the buffet table before reluctantly walking over to join him on the sofa. What was she gong to say to him? Feeling her palms start to sweat she rubbed them on the apron that she wore over her simple blue cotton dress. Oh god…this was not how she wanted to be spending time alone with Will. She just knew that this was going to end badly…with her confessing to what she had seen Jack and Elizabeth doing and for how long it had been going on! How was she going to keep from spilling everything she knew to the man that she had been secretly in love with for nearly a year now?
