Tori had fallen alseep, leaving Totec alone with two calm awake baby twins, Nesmie, the girl, and a little boy with a couple pins in his face.'lil pin' is his nick name but Tori named their son, Krolus. Krolus sat on the floor, watching the chatterbeast curiously. While Totec tried to get Nesmie to fall asleep. He remembered hearing Bridget every night as a baby, crying. He knew that Tori had spent countless nights with a cranky baby. So this was no surprise to him that Nesmie and Krolus refused to fall asleep. Krolus glanced up at his daddy, paying, holding his sister, and became up set. He started to cry. Totec sighed as Nesmie for no apperant reason began to cry as well. Tori bolted up in the bed. "Here, give her to me." Tori said yawning.
Totec handed her Nesmie and picked up Krolus. Tori rocked Nesmie slowly, and hummed gently a little luliby(Spell wrong? who cares?)
" Could you not do that please?" Totec asked firmly, walking around with Krolus.
" Do what?" She tried to ask over the twins crying.
" Hum that." He answered.
" It's a luliby, Xipe, it's suppose to calm the baby." She said then turned to Nesmie," Hush now my little one, please don't you cry...."
Totec sighed and decided to hold Krolus at his shoulder and rub his back gently." How did you get her to quite?" He asked as soon as he noticed Nesmie asleep.
Tori smiled and got up. " here you hold her for a minute. Come here Krolus." She whispered, Totec switched the babies. While Tori worked on getting Krolus to sleep.As Totec stared down at his sleeping new baby daughter. A light smile formed on his lips. He gingerly placed her down under a blanket in her basinet. And watched her sleep. And then silence. Krolus had too fallen asleep. Tori placed him in his basinet. She sighed." I have baby experience." She said to her husband. Gave him a light kiss then crawled back into bed.
" Don't worry, most of the night they should stay asleep." She smiled and tried to fall back aleep.
" most of the night?"Totec asked. Then glanced back at the basinets.He gulped. And prepared. This father thing was not going to be easy.
Authoress note: Yes the ending was short. But here is the thinking there may be a sequel. Maybe if I am up to it. Depends on the reviews.
