Disclaimer:
I do not own the Pirates of the Caribbean movie series, nor any of the characters from it. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
Escape
Disclaimer, Warning, and Pairing: I own nothing, the mouse owns it all. Okay wait I lied, I do own some of the characters. Sorry if names cross any that havehave read in other stories, I don’t think that they do. But just in case. Warning! This is AU. As in it doesn’t really follow the same story line as the movie, just has it’s characters. And as for Pairing, well right now there isn’t one.
This chapter has yet to be beta read. I will hopefully receive that soon.
Escape
Darkness had settled over the village like a blanket, giving two figures their one and only chance to escape. The ship was coming for them. All they needed to do now was get away with out waking the house. Opening a window, the older of the two...a woman...held her finger to her lips, “Hush Sweetheart, we won’t get another chance to leave, we have to make it this time.” She spoke to a young boy standing inches away from her side. The boy stood tears running down his cheeks, fear gripping his heart, sobs held barely at bay, he was terrd. Id. If the master of the house caught them, they would surely be separated and sold.
Looking around the small room, the pair grabbed a few of their meager possessions. There wasn’ch tch time and they couldn’t afford to be weighed down with such unnecessary items. The woman grabbed two thin cloaks, while the boy grabbed his most prized possession, his stuffed bear. Quickly tying the ties of one of the cloaks around the child’s neck, the women grabbed his hand and proceeded to help him climb out the window, following immediately after. Lifting the boy into her arms, the woman ran as fast as her legs could carry her, across the yard and into the thick forest that surrounded the house.
Fear instantly shot her heart into her throat, the unmistakable sound of yelling and barking dogs sounded in the distance behind them, from the direction they had just come. They didn’t have much time. The boy began sobbing quietly against his mothers chest. Running even faster, the woman dashed towards the docks. Rounding a bend in the road, the woman released the breath she had been holding, the dock stood only yards away. The ship and several men stood proudly at the end awaiting their arrival “William, run as fast as your legs can carry towards the ship. I’ll be right behind you.” The woman said as she placed him on the ground. The boy did instantly what his mother had asked of him, knowing they didn’t have time for him to question her actions. Sprinting towards the ship and men as fast as his little legs c car carry him, he didn’t look back.
A single man stepped out of the crowd and opened his arms, catching the woman and child in fierce embrace, squeezing them tightly. “Oh how I’ve missed you both.” The man said before kissing the woman on the lips and the cheek of the child he held in his arms. Breaking away from his embrace the woman took a terrified look over her shoulder, “We haven’t time Bill they are after us, they will be here soon.” Hugging the child closer to his body, Bill nodded. Motioning to the men that stood around him the group headed back on board the ship. The ship became alive around them as men dashed around making way to set sail.
“Isabella I’ve missed you so much.” Bill said wrapping his arms around his wife, their child squeezed between their bodies. “And you too Will.” Bill continued, kissing his young son once again on the cheek.
A feeling of safeness flooded Will’s small form, and the flood gates opened allowing his tears to pour down his cheeks as he clutched tightly to his father. A father he hadn’t seen in near two years. Isabella too had tears pouring down her cheeks, though hers were silent.
Suddenly gun fire sounded, breaking the peaceful serenity that surrounded them. Isabella paled, and young Will began wailing clutching his father tighter. The hunters they had found them. It took only seconds for the ship to return gun fire, scattering the men on the beach in all directions, pinning them down.
Taking one look at the paleness of his wife and child, Bill quickly led them down below deck to his cabin. “It’s alright you two...I’m not going to let anything happen to you. You’re safe now.” Hugging Will to his chest, Bill kissed his wife.
“I know...Bill but you don’t know what we’ve gone through. It’s going to take some time, and the sooner we are out of here the better.” Isabella replied into her husbands chest.
“Shhh darling, it’s okay...Why don’t you and Will try to take some rest, you both look exhausted. I’ll be back momentarily I just need to go speak with Captain Sparrow.” Isabella nodded. Taking Will from his father’s arms, she carried him over to the window sill and took a seat cradling him in her arms.
***********
Bill headed back up on deck the gun fire had ceased and the ship was now ready to make way. Heading up onto the quarter deck, Bill walked over to Captain Jonathan Sparrows side. “Captain I don’t know how to thank you enough.” “Bill, ye are me first mate, me best friend, I would do anything fur ye. How ‘re they doing?” “It’s going to take time. It’s been so long.” “Aye” Jonathan replied. “Yur shifts been covered mate, Jack will take your place...go spend the night with ye wife and child.” Nodding Bill smiled at the captain and turned heading back towards the hatch that would take him back down below deck to his cabin.
A smile crossed his face as he entered, across the cabin on the sill, Isabella slept holding their sleeping son. Moving quietly across the cabin, Bill opened the trunk that sat at the foot of the bed and began shifting through it, pulling out two clean shirts he set them on the bed, before moving towards his sleeping family. He hated to wake Isabella she looked as though she needed the rest, but he knew that she would be far more comfortable in a clean shirt and in a bed, rather than sitting crammed up on the sill. Kissing sof softly on the lips, Bill smiled down at her. “Sweetheart, you need to wake up for just a moment.” “Hmmmmm” She murmured back, opening her eyes. Fear instantly clouded her mind, at the unfamiliar surroundings. Seeing the fear in his wife’s eyes, Bill stepped into her line of vision. “Easy my love it’s alright.” upon hearing Bill’s voice she immediately relaxed. “Oh Bill you’re back.” She whispered as if nothing had happened. Choosing to ignore it for the tbeinbeing, Bill nodded. Reaching down, he gently removed the sleeping boy from her arms, and carried him over to the bed. Quickly undressing him, Bill slipped the shirt that was about thirty sizes to big for him over his head, before tucking him into the bed. Handing the other shirt to his wife, Bill slipped out of his clothes and climbed into bed next to his son, leaving Isabella room on the other side of Will. The trio were soon lost in dreamland, wrapped tightly in each others arms. All three with peaceful looks upon their faces.

Captain Jonathan Sparrow stood proudly at the helm, as his ship the Black Pearl sailed away from the port. Bootstrap Bill Turner’s family was safe on board, their escape having been a success. Tomorrow, he would show them the ropes; as he remembered, Isabella, ‘Izzy” had at one time been a fine pirate. A pirate in fact known across the ocean as a pirate princess. The boy, William, ‘Will’ would in time would become the hands off, Cabin Boy for the Pearl. And Bill well Bill could continue his duties as First Mate. Glancing down on the lower deck, Jonathan smiled to himself as his eyes met the image of his son working the ropes. Jack had boarded the ship, only months before and already the younger man was proving to him that he was a pirate worth his salt. A bit daft at times but well worth it in his own right. The lads, crazy ideas had saved them several times already as itre. re.
Feeling eyes upon him, Jack raised his own line of vision and glared back at his father, before continuing his task at hand. Smiling to himself, Jack laughed lightly, he loved more then anything else to, confuse the daylights out of the people that surrounded him...to keep them guessing. Finishing his task, Jack headed towards the helm, to begin his shift of stirring the Pearl.
“Ah there ye be me lad. Ye have ye work all done?” Jonathan questioned his son.
“Aye Sir.” Jack answered, wanting his father to leave as quick as possible. Another thing he enjoyed more then anything else was stirring the Pearl. He absolutely loved the feel of power under his hands and the freedom that power gave him.
“Good” Jonathan answered, nodding his approval. “Stick to the corse, we make Port Jarred morning, we be needing supplies bef’re we be making the crossing.”
Turning Captain Jonathan Sparrow headed towards his cabin. Behind him Jack rolled his eyes. Taking the helm into his grasp Jack rubbed his palm over the weathered wood, instantly settling into the rhythm of the waves. His eyes watching the horizon, always the horizon. He trusted the Pearl to do the rest. The lady, always did what he wanted, they where bonded.
