Well of course Jack was not killed but…he was held captive for 8 years in tortuga by the governor of port royal for supposedly holding his daughter hostage and rapping her, well likely story

“Well jack what’ll it be?” “What?” jack said sleepily “breakfast jack its your last day here remember?”
The jail manager Scott said “oh yes indeed is isn’t it “ “well jack what’ll it be?” “The usual” “alright coffee black and ill throw in some cream and sugar jack just for you.” “You’re a good man Scott” “it wont be the same with out you here jack come noon yous a free man.” “Indeed that I be Scott indeed that I be” jack said as he sipped on his coffee.

Jack decided that he would spend a few nights in tortuga and send a telegram to call in the black pearl.
“That be my ship” jack said to himself “and I’ll be getting her back” It was two weeks before jack got any reply from the pearl when he did he got a telegram that read
Captin Jack Sparrow,
We be comin in a day or so
You be ready, theirs some bad

Jack was upset that some thing may have happened to his ship “my ship!” he said to himself as he raced to the docks and paced back and fourth thinking of all the bad things that could have happened to her. Jack to upset to do any thing else decided he would wait until his ship came in .He was determind and could not take his mind off of his ship.
Two days latter the pearl rolled in “big and beautiful as always” Jack murmured to himself. “JACK!”
A voice yelled, jack looked up “Gibbs, so wonder full to see you!” jack yelled to Gibbs as he walked out on to the dock .”No time to lose we are going to port royal right away” “What? Jack we just got here we are tired and want to explore!” “Do as I say this is my ship have Anna Marie set the sails!” “Ummm jack Anna Marie is gone jack.” “What?” “yes shes gone,dead, died.” “Well how so?” “She hung herself jack.” “Shame” jack says with a shrug of his shoulders. “What jack I thuoght that you were in love with her?”
“Not at all Gibbs, now come we must go now.
As they set sail off to port royal Gibbs could not help but ask why jack was in such a hurry. “Jack whats so important about port royal?” “ I’m goin back to get me bonnie lass Gibbs no other than the Elizabeth Swan” “Well jack not meanin no harm but she was a beauty and young Will turner had his eyes on her.”
“Nonsense Gibbs I know me lass will wait for me after she tumbled in the sack with old jack what could possibly do her better?” jack said with a laugh as he gave Gibbs a nudge and the ship sailed off to port royal.
