*Jedi Temple*
Windu: After much consideration to the negative and positive aspects the counsel has a verdict
Yoda: Anakin Skywalker, master you are.
Anakin bows.
Windu: You may take your seat Master Anakin.
Anakin bows and walks to his seat. He looks at Obi Wan and sits down.
Windu: Even though Lord Sidious has been destroyed I feel that there are still many threats to the Galaxy.
Yoda: The Dark side has weakened but still strong it is.
Ki-Adi-Mundi: We must be very careful the Republic is very weak. It’s very delicate there must not be any more disruptions.
Windu: What do you think Anakin?
Anakin: I feel that we need to be weary of the Trade Federation and that we should focus on the senate now that the Chancellor is gone and it has no leader.
Obi Wan Kenobi: I don’t believe that the Trade Federation should be a concern.
Yoda: Open to option we must be.
Anakin: I also think that Master Yoda and Master Windu should take over the senate to keep the peace.
Luminara Unduli: I agree with Anakin.
Saesee Tiin: So do I.
Windu: So it’s settled Master Yoda and I will represent the Jedi in the senate until a suitable chancellor is found.
*Padme‘s apartment*
Padme tosses and turns on her bed, “Anii… Anakin… Anakin…” Anakin runs to the side of the bed and kneels down. He touches the side of her face.
Anakin: “Padme, Padme wake up…”
She opens her eyes and sits up to hug him.
Padme: Anakin, you’re back. Where were you? What took you so long?
Anakin: At the Jedi temple… the war is over.
Padme lets go of him; she leans her head on the headrest. She studies his face trying to find the truth in his eyes.
Anakin: Master Windu and I ended the war… tonight, we ended it.
Padme hugs Anakin.
Padme: That means that you’re going to stay for awhile.
Anakin remains silent and sits down on the bed.
Padme: Anakin, what’s wrong? What’s bothering you?
Anakin: The war may be over, but there are still many threats to the galaxy…
Padme: Well surely they will give a Jedi a break after he helps end the war.
Anakin: Master Jedi.
Padme: They made you a master?
Anakin nods.
Padme: Master Obi Wan must be very proud of you.
Anakin remains silent.
Padme: There’s more… Anakin, when are you going to be able to trust me? To really open yourself to me?
Anakin: I trust you…
Padme: Trust is just a word Anakin. When are you going to prove it to me?
Anakin: If trust is just a word then love must just be a word as well. A word with no meaning, so all the times that you say...
Padme looks away from him, hurt, and he stops himself.
Anakin: I’m sorry…
Padme stands up in front of Anakin; she shakes her head.
Padme: How can you doubt my love.
She walks out of the room.
Anakin: Padme…
He stands up and follows her.
