Part 2
That afternoon, Cyn sat silently in her “room”. She had taken a place on one of the upper levels, having decided it was secure enough for her tastes, and affording her a good view of the land, in a manner of speaking. She preferred being able to see around her, and she knew there was no other way into or out of her place, well, none that anyone else could fit into.
She was eating some of the lobster stuff that they all got. She had a few minor things to make life easier, such as a bowl carved from a rock, she had gotten that for some scarf one of the crawlers had really wanted for some reason. She didn’t care, it had gotten her what she wanted, and it wasn’t like she had a use for it.
It was because of her view that she saw Kyra making her way towards where Cyn thought that Riddick was. Cyn raised an eyebrow, eyes working their way over the numerous cells, finding him sitting outside the empty one she had figured on. There was a tight path that led up behind the spot where he sat, and sure enough, that was the one Kyra entered.
“Why is she so interested in him?” She was curious but didn’t move, wanting to finish her meal.
It was only when she saw Kyra leave by going over the rail and descending into a tunnel that she rose, tucking her bowl in a safe spot.
She observed the area slowly, making her way through various tunnels, cracks, and rarely a set of real stairs. She preferred to travel unharrassed, and by going her way, she was pretty much guaranteed that.
She came out where she intended to, mere feet from where the Guv usually slept.
“Hello Guv,” She interrupted his conversation with one of his “crew”, stepping close enough for him to see that she bore no weapons. “Mind if we have some words?”
With a nod the other man walked out, but Cyn knew he would be close by should she be hiding something.
“Whatcha need?” Guv took a seat on a rock eyes on her.
“This new guy, any idea what’s up with him?”
“Nope, seems to insist he’s not gonna be here long.”
Cyn merely smiled, she knew that she wouldn’t either, but that wasn’t something she was going to advertise. “Know what he did?”
“He’s a killer, from the guards’ talk. Big time one at that, offed some mercs, can pilot ‘cording to the rumors, not that it does much good down here.”
“Hmmm….thanks for the info.” She tossed him a small item wrapped in cloth that she had produced from her pocket.
He nodded, and she slipped back out, heading towards the lower levels where the baths were.
