Time passed, as it has a way of doing, and Sarah grew up. Now 19 years old, and wondering what to do with her life, she sat in her room looking at the pile of things she was contributing to the annual garage sale. Inside a large cardboard box were items that she had finally decided to let go; stuffed toys, fairy tale books, that were so well loved and read that the covers were actually worn in spots, puppets, costumes, and other things that reminded her of her younger years. Looking through the box just for, 'old times sake', she came upon a small red book. Sarah hesistated before she picked it up, ' last time I held this book was right before my trip to the Labyrinth,' she thought to herself. She opened the book, and read the familiar words that she had spoken to him...."you have no power over me." she read aloud. She closed the book and laid it on top of the other items in the box, then she picked it up and walked downstairs.

" I was wondering if you were ever going to come down," said Karen. Her stepmother had gotten a little better over the years and they had formed an easy friendship.

" Just taking a walk down memory lane, guess Iost track of time." replied Sarah.

" I am really stunned that you wanted to donate anything at all, I've been after you for years to get rid of some of that stuff. What brought on the change?" she asked.

" Well, I just figured that it was time. I mean, I can't take everything with me, but I saved a few special items for my dorm room." said Sarah, she was going to college in the fall and this was her last summer at home.

" Well I'm glad, it just goes to show that you're not the pack rat your father made you out to be," laughed Karen.

" I don't know about that, you should see what I didn't put in here. I could still fill a few more boxes."

" Just take it on outside and set it up on whatever table you want. Oh, and remember, it's your job to distract Toby while I get his toys out of the house."

" I didn't forget, where is he anyway?"

" I think he's in his room, why don't you take him to the park for an hour or two so I can get his old toys and things put out."

" Not Lancelot," giggled Sarah. Knowing that Toby would throw the be all end all of temper tantrums if the old bear wasn't there beside him at bedtime.

" I wouldn't dream of it, I know he loves that old thing." laughed Karen.

" Ok, I'll just go get him."

Sarah found Toby in the middle of his floor surrounded by stuffed animals of everykind.

" Whatcha doin' Toby?" she asked.

"Playin' circus." he answered

" Do you want to go to the park with me?"

" Can I bring Lance?" he asked

" Of course, I happen to know that he loves the park."

" Really?"

" Yep, he used to go with me all the time."

" Can I push him on the swings?" Toby asked

" Yeah, but if you want to, I can push you while you hold him that way you can swing together." Sarah answered

Toby got up and grabbed Sarah's hand, " well come on then," he said and started tugging her towards the stairs.

They walked to the park, which wasn't far from the house. Sarah watched Toby play with his bear in the same shady spots that she had as a young child. Her mind drifted back to the book, and her journey through the Labyrinth. She had called on her friends quiet often, and there were many nights spent whispering and laughing with Hoggle, and Ludo, and the others. Sometimes it was just Hoggle, who the girl told all of her troubles to. As she had gotten older, the calls became less frequent, but she still talked to the at least a couple of time a month. All of them except one. Jareth. His face was still firmly fixed in her mind, and his voice would forever haunt her dreams. Many nights she would awake from the same dream She was back in the Labyrinth, Jareth making his final offer to her, and she, accepting.

" Sarah, look at that bird." Toby yelled to her.She turned to look and sitting on a branch of a tree just behind her was an owl. " It can't be," she said under her breath.

" What is it Sarah?" asked Toby

" It's an owl, but thye usually only come out at night." answered Sarah

" Can we pet it?"

" No, it's probably got a diseae. Come on, we should go." she said standing up.

" Already? We just got here!" whined Toby

" We've been here for an hour and a half, come on, lets go get some lunch."

Sarah took Toby by the hand and started walking home. Every so often she would turn to see if the owl was following. It was.
