*The bodies of John and Beatrice 'Boots' Harper were discovered late yesterday afternoon. They were killed in the same manner as the Michael Myers killings and their daughter, 20 year old Ailsa was abducted. The police consider this to be the work of a copycat killer.*
While going through the various closets in the house, Ailsa had found a radio and a TV. She had plugged in the TV and was now trying to fix the radio while watching the news coverage of what she had done. It had been two days since she had killed her parents. After leaving the house, she had gone to the CVS where she had worked and broken in to steal basic supplies. When she had left, she had seen Michael in the alley, waiting for her it seemed. He had pantomimed what he wanted: her to follow him. They had walked for what felt like hours until they reached a house in the middle of nowhere. He had already taken care of the owners. The place reminded her of the house in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Ailsa had set up in one of the bedrooms on the second floor and then slept for nearly 17 hours. She had then woken up, bleached her hair (she had red hair before) and then slept some more.
*The Medical Examiner put death at one am Friday night. Myers is not a suspect in this case.*
They then put a picture of Ailsa on the screen, her driver's license photo. They then gave a description. Five foot seven, 115 pounds. Birthmark shaped like crescent moon on her left arm. Then they told the public that if they saw her to usher her to safety and then call 911. It was so funny to Ailsa. She wasn't some helpless waif. She was the killer, a fucking psycho killer. "Psycho Killer, Qu'est-ce que c'est?" she sang softly.
*Murder seems to be the crime of the week here in Haddonfield, even with Michael Myers dead. The body of 23 year old Ryan Smith was found in his apartment today. He had been beaten to death sometime on Halloween with an object that has yet to be found.
Also found dead today was 46 year old Alan Davies, an English professor at Haddonfield Community College. He was also beaten to death with an object that has yet to be found.*
When they did find the lamp, DNA tests would reveal that it was same weapon that killed both Ryan and Alan. Ailsa had gone after them before going home. Ryan had picked her up and then beaten her sensless when she said no. As soon as she had recovered, she had picked up a lamp and beaten him until she woke up from her rage. Then, her purpose had been revealed to her. Correct injustices, kill the abusers. She knew what Davies was. He was the same as her father, and she had mailed some pictures of the vile acts he had committed on some little boys to the police. They would get them any day now. Hopefully no one would figure it all out before she did some more work. There were so many names, so little time. When she was done, she would leave Illinois and start a new life.
Maybe Michael would come with her.
Upstairs, Michael was thinking about the girl. She had said her name was Ailsa, but he thought of her as Moon, after the mark on her arm. He had liked her hair before she had cut it. It reminded him on blood. But now, she reminded him of Mama, or at least the vision of his mother he saw right now. She was talking to him as she had been ever since he had escaped Smith's Grove.
Don't hurt her, she told him.
Why? He asked.
She is like us.
How?
Others had hurt her and have profited from her pain and tears. They need to pay, the same as that doctor, that cop and his slut daughter need to pay for what they did to us.
Does she need my help?
Yes. But wait for her to ask you.
Will she help us?
Yes. She will help bring Angel home.
Michael heard a bang and went downstairs. Moon was sitting on the floor, radio parts all around her. She had cut her arm and was staring at the blood like it held all the answers. He went over to her and grabbed her arm.
"What the hell are you doing?" she asked. Michael stared at the blood. Inside, Michael was more animal than man at this point. Maybe 47 percent man and 53 percent animal. So it seemed perfectly natural to him to lick up her blood. Ailsa shuddered and nearly hit him. But it felt good, too good to question.
