Chapter 20

Title: Control
Chapter Twenty
Author: Angelsdee
Rating: NC-17
Summary: Dom, Mikaela, and Leon pick up Mia and Brian from the airport.

She was sitting on the mats stretching her legs when they walked in. She had put on a white tank and black sweatpants while they talked in the other room. Dom looked at her with a smile on his face.

Her chin was touching her knee as she stretched. Her legs were spread so far apart it looked like she was doing the splits. She held the position for about 30 seconds then brought her upper body back upright. “Thank you for the Gatorades, baby!”

He moved forward to hand a bottle to her when he noticed that her skin was so dark it could be seen through her white top. He felt himself get hard when he saw her nipples through her shirt. Then he remembered they weren’t alone.

She grabbed a bottle from his hand, tipped it back, and downed it in one go. She set the empty aside and slammed a second in the same fashion. “Shit, that hit the spot.” She thought she heard one of the dogs growl until she realized it was coming from Dom. “Did you just growl at me?”

“Yeah. I did.”

“Why?”

“I can see your nipples through your shirt.” He stared at the objects of the conversation.

“So?”

“Leon’s here. I don’t want him looking at your…body.”

“How close did you have to get to me to see them?”

“About 5 feet.”

“Perfect because I need at least that amount of space for kicks. Oh and if you keep staring at them you’re only going to make them hard and he will see that. Now back off.”

He moved away. She brought her legs together in front of her, rolled onto her back, brought her legs over her head, and, just when it looked like she was going to roll completely over, she ended up on her hands with her legs straight up in the air.

They watched her arms shake for a moment while she held the handstand then she got them locked. Satisfied, she lowered her legs and stood up. “What time is it, baby?” She asked as she moved to the double-end.

“Three.”

“You need to leave for the airstrip soon.” She started punching the bag and weaved its return.

“Yeah. I know. I wish you would go with me.”

She kept punching and weaving. “Well if we take your car I could. You know mine only has a front seat. If you take mine Mia will have to sit on Brian’s lap.”

“Whoa.” Leon chimed in at that point. “Mia and Brian?”

“Yeah.” Dom pointed at Mikaela. “Little miss matchmaker over there did it.”

She moved over to the heavy bag and did a roundhouse kick. “Yep. That’s me. I’ve worked all kinds of miracles in a couple of days. The biggest one was giving you a personality.”

Leon started laughing while Dom scowled at her. She just kept unleashing a flurry of kicks on the bag with a smile on her face. “So baby, what’s it gonna be? Which car?” She could see the battle going on in his mind. ‘He’s just itching to drive that damn car.’

“Mine. That way we can all go.” He frowned.

She smiled at his decision. “How sweet, love. You chose me over a Ferrari.”

“Actually I didn’t want to leave you alone.”

She walked up to him and put her hands on his shoulders. His hands moved to her waist. “I wouldn’t be alone. Leon is here.”

He lowered his voice and said, “That too.” Then he added, “And I need you with me when I see Brian.”

She pulled his head down and kissed him. “You’ll be fine. And since we’re going to have so many people here, you can take the car to the store and get something for dinner.”

“Deal. Come on. Let’s get this over with.” They turned and walked towards Leon and Dom moved her behind him to shield her body from his view. “Go change.”

“Fine. I’ll be right back. Boys!” Then she left the room to do his bidding with the dogs right on her heels. When she got to the stairs, she grabbed on to the rail with her right hand and tried to steady herself. Her legs started to shake and she almost fell but Zeus moved next to her and she grabbed him with her left hand. “I think I overdid it, baby. Help mama.” She slowly made her way up the stairs with Zeus’ aide.

The guys were waiting by the front door when she came down 20 minutes later. She had changed into a turquoise tank with matching shorts, a pair of sandals, and even applied some mascara and blue-green eyeliner. Her curly black hair hung loose and she heard gasps come from both men.

“Sorry it took me so long. I wanted to look decent for Mia’s return and to meet Brian.”

“Damn baby, you look beautiful!” His eyes were glowing with love.

“Yeah Mikaela, you look fantastic.” Leon added.

Dom’s head snapped around and he glared at Leon. “Dom!” He turned back to his lady. “Ready to go?” She put her arm through his.

“Yeah.”

Leon opened the front door and they all walked out to the car. Dom escorted her to the passenger door, opened it for her, and closed it after she climbed in. Then he went to the driver’s side, took the keys from Leon, who settled in the back seat, got in and started it up.

When he was about to shift into reverse, Mikaela covered his hand with hers and linked their fingers. “Nice goat. Doesn’t compare to my beast though.” He laughed softly and pulled the car out and headed to the airfield.

They arrived just as the jet was landing. Dom came around and opened the door giving her a hand to help her out of the car. He leaned back against the side of the goat and drew her back to his chest, wrapping his arms around her waist.

Leon came up next to them and she could feel Dom’s body tense. She turned her head away from Leon and whispered. “Baby.” He lowered his ear to her mouth. “You really need to work on that primal thing. You’re making me feel like marked territory.”

“You are…but I’ll try.”

The jet just stopped and the ramp was lowering and out came a beaming Mia with Brian and the captain carrying their luggage. Mia’s eyes landed on Mikaela and she screamed, “You came!”

Mikaela started to pull away from Dom when a tremor ran through her body that even Dom felt. He held her waist a little tighter. “Baby? Are you ok?”

She placed her hands on his and took a steadying breath. “Yes, love. I’m just getting the wind back in my sails. I’ll be fine.” Then she moved off to meet Mia on the tarmac. “Hey baby girl!” She held open her arms and Mia ran straight into them.

Mia pulled back and looked at her. “Are you ok? Dom told me you were real sick. Should you even be here? We could’ve just met up with you at the house. You should be in bed.”

“Mia! What did I tell you about breathing in between sentences? By the gods, I’m surprised you didn’t pass out.” They both laughed and exchanged hugs.

Brian walked up behind Mia and Mikaela smiled at him over Mia’s shoulder. “He is adorable, Mia. No wonder you wanted to hunt him down.” They pulled apart and Mia turned towards Brian. The girls kept an arm around each other while looking at the smiling, blushing Brian.

“Yeah. He’s a hottie. I think he’s a keeper.” Mia added as she leaned her head against Micki’s.

The captain walked up with the bags and addressed Mikaela. “If I could get a word with you in private before I depart, Milady.”

She gave him a hard glare for the use of that last word. “Load their bags in the car and I’ll be with you in a moment by the ramp.” He moved off to follow her instructions.

“Milady?” Mia asked in surprise.

“It’s nothing. Don’t be rude, woman, introduce me!”

“Mikaela, this is Brian. Brian, this is the woman who pulled your butt out of the fire and brought you back where you belong.”

Mikaela held out her hand to shake Brian’s and he surprised her by raising her hand to his mouth and placing a kiss across her knuckles. “I’m sorry.” He said surprised by his boldness. “I just didn’t think a handshake was good enough. I actually meant to do this.” He pulled her into a hug by the hand he held. “Thank you.”

Dom saw Brian pull Mikaela into a hug and started to move forward when Leon grabbed his arm. “Dom. What is up with you going off on anyone that gets near her?”

“I can’t explain it, man. I just don’t like anyone to touch her.”

Leon could see him struggle to keep still and not run over there and throttle Brian. “Calm down. I can see the girl knows whom she belongs to. I don’t think you have anything to worry about.”

Mikaela sensed the second Dom’s temper rose but it leveled off and she returned Brian’s embrace. “You’re very welcome. I’m glad you’re here.”

They moved apart and Brian glanced over at Dom and Leon. “You are but what about Dom?”

The captain headed towards the ramp to wait for her. She caught his glance as he walked by. “Why don’t you both go find out while I deal with some business?”

“Are you sure I’m safe?” Brian asked with a smile.

“Don’t worry. He’s under threat of my kicking his ass publicly if he misbehaves. Go on you two.” She shooed them off and went to talk to the man at the end of the ramp.

The couple walked hand-in-hand to the car. Dom didn’t even notice them. His eyes followed Mikaela’s movements. “Where is she going?” He asked no one in particular.

Mia answered. “The captain wanted a word with her before he leaves. Hi big brother.” She waved her hand in his face to draw his attention to her.

He looked down at her and smiled. “Hi little sister.” And he wrapped her in a hug. He looked up and said, “Brian.”

“Hey Dom.”

Leon stuck his hand out and said, “Hey Brian.”

“Leon.” He returned the handshake.

Mia pulled away from Dom and moved to hug Leon. “Hey you. I’m glad you came back.”

“Mia. Me too.”

“Well.” They all turned to see Mikaela walk up. “That didn’t hurt at all. No bloodshed. All body parts are intact. My work is done here. Shall we go home?”

Leon, Mia, and Brian laughed and began to pile in the back seat. Dom grabbed Mikaela by the nape of her neck and gave her a passionate kiss. The 3 observers in the car smiled. He leaned his forehead against hers and whispered. “Thank you for giving me my family back.”

“You’re welcome. That’s my job. Now let’s go home.”

He guided her to the door and asked as she got in. “What was that with the captain?”

“Business and a surprise for later.” She smiled as he shut the door and moved around and got in behind the wheel.

“I like surprises.” He smiled. “You are the best surprise I’ve ever come across.”

“Flattery will get you everywhere.”

“That’s what I was shooting for.” He was wearing that sexy grin that made her knees weak.

Mia and Brian were telling Leon about Mikaela’s family, the news about the charges, Texas, and their flight in the back seat.

“What business?” Dom asked, ignoring the others as he drove them out of the airfield.

“Aren’t you the curious one? Fine. He was dropping off my allowance.”

“You’re kidding, right?

“No. Most of my money is wire transferred to my account here but I like cash and I don’t like to leave my house. It’s ok to come here but not someplace busy like a bank.”

“How much and how often?” He asked nonchalantly.

“Fifty thousand twice a month.”

“What do you need a hundred thousand dollars a month for?”

“Whatever I want. I’m a chick. We’re funny that way.” She was holding in her laughter at his surprise.

“If you don’t like to leave the house and go to ‘busy’ places, how do you get groceries?”

“I either go in the dead of the night or Mr. Valenzuela goes for me. Speaking of groceries, I’m hungry and tired. Will you please get me home?” Her eyes were closed and she had tension in her voice.

‘She’s a claustrophobic. Too crowded in here for her.’ He grabbed her hand and squeezed it gently. “I understand, baby. I’ll have us there in a few minutes.”

Leon spoke up from the back. “Man, is it stuffy in here? Dom, will you crack a window so I can breathe.”

“Sure.” He looked at Mikaela. “Baby, can you make other people besides me feel what you feel?”

“Sometimes I project. Please hurry.” She whispered.

“We’re just down the street, love. Hold on.”

“Mikaela, are you feeling ok?”

She took a deep breath and answered. “I’m fine, Mia. I’m just a little tired. We’ve had a lot of excitement today.”

“You should be in bed.”

“Mia, I’m fine really.”

“Are you sick?”

“Brian, everyone, I’m fine. I have an…unusually high normal body temperature and when I get a fever…it gets real high. It happens a lot but I’m fine now.”

“We’re here, Mick.” Dom pulled up to the side of the driveway that would allow the Ferrari to exit the garage. It didn’t go unnoticed by Mikaela.

“You really want to drive that car, don’t you?”

“I’m an open book to you. I wanna see what you’ve been bragging about.” He got out and she opened her door. He took her hand when he got to her side and helped her out of the car. “Come on, love. Let’s get you inside.”

Dom took her keys and helped her to the front door while everyone grabbed luggage from the trunk. Leon had a bag as well.

Mia told the guys to take the bags next-door and yelled out to Dom and Mikaela. “Hey you two. We’re going to drop our stuff at the house and we’ll be right back so don’t go getting involved doing anything that you can’t finish in 2 minutes.”

“Funny Mia. I’ll leave the door open.” He wrapped an arm around Mikaela’s shoulders and led her to the sofa. “Here ya go, baby. You feeling better?”

“I’m ok. Thirsty. Will you get me another Gatorade?”

“Sure.” He moved into the kitchen and when he returned the dogs were all on the couch. Apollo sat on her left, Ares on her right, and Zeus was lying with his head in her lap. “You’re not ok, are you? The dogs are your tell. I don’t even have to read you.”

“I feel like I’m suffocating.”

“Do you want me to tell everyone that we’ll do something tomorrow and we can turn in?”

“Dominic, it has nothing to do with them. I feel…weird. I don’t know. It’s probably fatigue left over from the fever. I’ll be ok.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes. Now go get food. Oh and take Brian with you.” She was waiting for it because she knew it was coming.

“Oh come on babe!”

“You need to clear the air, Dom. It’s important. Do it for me.”

The others came in the door at that moment and Dom gave in to his woman’s wishes. “I’m going to pick up some stuff to barbecue. Leon, why don’t you move the kitchen chairs out to the patio and we can kick out there while I’m cooking. Mia, help her out to the hammock. Brian…you’re coming with me.” He walked into the kitchen and headed towards the garage.

Brian looked like a deer caught in headlights. “Brian. Go. You’ll be fine. Oh and remind him of his promise to me in about 7 minutes, ok?”

Brian flashed her a dazzling smile and said, “Okay.” Then he followed the path Dom took to the garage. When he got there, he let out a whistle. “You found a great woman, Dom. She’s caring, rich, and beautiful.”

“I know. Come on. I’m dying to drive this thing.” He hit the garage door opener, clicked the locks on the remote, and they both got in. He started the engine and could feel the power she was referring to. “She tricked this bitch out. Can you feel it?”

Brian could tell Dom was excited and he felt like they were back in LA fixing to test drive the Supra they built together. “Let’s go for a ride.”

Dom smiled at his words repeated back to him, pulled out of the garage, and took off down the street.

Bill watched the car drive off with the man who stole his property driving and some blonde guy in the passenger’s seat. He saw them all arrive so he knew there was one more man in the house, as well as a young woman, and his target. ‘Take out the guy and get my bitch back.’ He moved to the back of the next house and waited for his opportunity.
