Feel the Need

A/N: I'm watching Pitch Black as I finally type up this chapter for the second time. I had it typed up once, but when I went back to read it, well, it was just terrible, and I'd rather wait than let down my wonderful, wonderful reviewers. Sarah, Rankai, Melissa, you guys made this story continue. You're the type of reviewer every author prays for. Thank you so much! I really can't stress that enough. But, back to Pitch Black. If you guys haven't seen it, and you're liking this story (focusing on the EVIL Boys!) then you have absolutely got to see that movie. That way, you'll be ready to go see the Chronicles of Riddick when it hits theaters this spring or summer. *squeal* Don't like to do the typical girly squeal, but Riddick deserves it. Now, on to the story!

Brandi enjoyed the ride, once again on the back of Marko's bike. She closed her eyes, and let her mind wander over the many things that had happened over the past day. First she met Marko, as well as the others, then there was the whole train bridge, then waking up in the cave, finding out vampires were real and that she was on her way to becoming one. She had just started grinning at that last thought when she noticed where David had led everyone.

"What are we doing at my house?" Brandi asked Marko over the roar of the air, laughing.

"Reminding Michael that he's one of us now!" Paul shouted as he shot ahead of the two.

"Do we have to?" Brandi teased Marko. Marko just laughed and shook his head at her antics as they began circling the house, all of them shouting at the top of their lungs. David made sure everybody was well away before Michael opened the door to an empty night.

"Head towards Max's!" David yelled to the gang as they shot down the clear road, each of them feeling the freedom the bikes brought and the power the blood gave. Brandi briefly wondered who Max was, figuring that it couldn't be the same guy her mom had described: wholesome, with wacky clothes (though how her mom got away with saying that when she had given birth to Sam, Brandi didn't know). Plus, apparently that Max had told off a group of four rebellious boys who wore dark clothes and had long hair. Brandi snickered as she wondered who on earth that could have been.

Her snickering came to a halt though when her stomach clenched up in pain worse than she'd ever felt before. Her hands' firm grip on Marko's jacket was the only thing that prevented her blood from running red on the highway. Dwayne flagged down David and Paul when he noticed Marko pulling off to the side of the road. Marko immediately grabbed hold of Brandi before she fell to the ground, oblivious to the mutterings of the rest of the gang.

Brandi was even less aware of her surroundings than Marko. All she could feel was the agony her tightly clenched stomach provided. Then she noticed one thing outside of her body, and that was the throat right next to her mouth. As Marko's unnoticed hands attempted to soothe her by stroking her back and hair, they also held her head right at the perfect height for her to feed. Barely a second filled the space between Brandi spying Marko's throat and her teeth sinking in for her first meal.

Dwayne and Paul reacted quickly to seeing their brother in danger, and Paul tore Brandi from Marko as Dwayne rushe Mar Marko's side. David merely stood to one side, knowing what was happening and that Paul and Dwayne were just preparing themselves for a world of pain.

Paul's began immediately as Brandi reacted to her meal being taken away. She bit and scratched and kicked and punched in an animalistic response to her loss. Paul managed to keep her reigned in, but it was just barely and not without its price. Dwayne's pain waited to make itself known, but as soon as Marko shook himself from the euphoria Brandi's feeding had caused. His eyes focused on Dwayne as the first obstacle to retrieving his mate. Dwayne was down in an instant, victim of a well-placed and unexpected kick. Then Marko turned to Paul. Paul was knocked into oblivion by the combined forces of Marko and Brandi, who were both wearing their true faces.

David smirked from his spot on the sidelines as he took in the two newfound mates and their victims. Paul had regained consciousness quickly, and had joined Dwayne in the moaning chorus. Marko had pulled Brandi to him in much the same way as before, and if David listened close enough, he could hear Marko's purrs as Brandi finished her first feed, although her first kill still eluded her. After a time that could have been anywhere from 5 minutes to half an hour, everyone was back to their normal state of mind, if you counted Brandi and Marko's confusion at their actions normal.

A/N: Yes, another one. I want to apologize for the length, but I have to call it quits for the night, and wanted to get something up for you guys. More soon, I'm on a roll now.
