Hello Peeps, Cat here. I'm gonna throw in a disclaimer (in case you've a care to get this far...)
First off, I'm definitely not out to impress anyone with my 'storytelling skills'. I'm not even going to pretend that there won't be plotholes big enough to drive a few Mac trucks through. Not every aspect in this story will be well thought out. This is my little fantasy, and I'll do with it what I please.
'Thing is that I'm writing this story wholly for my own amusement. Such stories are inspired from that ingenious creation of the 'Matrix', by the Wachowski brothers. Additionally, I have read enough 'Smuth' type stories to know that I thoroughly enjoy reading them. (Agent Smith + smut = Smuth, for those of you who didn't know.) However, I want to be in one. (Isn't that sometimes the reason for making such stories?) So here it is.
If in fact, anyone else comes upon this site, perhaps they'll at least be entertained. I'll have my email addy here in case you want to leave any comments that badly. Sure, I'll welcome them. However, please keep in mind that I have not the time to think out ~every~ aspect of the storyline. A lot of this will be over-the-top. A lot of this you may have read in other, similar stories. . I do not pretend that all that makes up this story is completely original. Likely, someone has probably already made something like it. Perhaps not. Other times, it is a direct inspiration. I'll try and give credit where credit is due, but I never try to actually steal someone else's plot idea and claim it for my own.
I have to, then, thank my dear friend, the real-life Cyren, who helped to get all this started, to begin with. The first chapter is largely her telling. I filled in the details - especially where my character 'Cat Hex' is concerned. The story is one that she is working with me on at the moment, but it is more of a verbal tale. I am now altering it substantially, and it will become a whole new breed of animal the further it goes along.
Cyren has mad skills when it comes to storytelling. I write pretty well when I'm into it, and this I mostly chalk up to much online roleplay, in which written expression is key. Cyren's work, however, will eventually make its way into this story. (There's that sound of inevitability, Agent Smith was talking about. *chuckle*) Each chapter will be broken up into scenes with both her character and mine. Other times, some chapters will have been written exclusively by me - as they tell of my character's experiences. Then, almost every other chapter would be written exclusively by her - telling her characters' part of the story. (I say "characters" now, because you will be introduced to two characters of her making - Cyren and Magus.) I've never collaborated with anyone like this before, and it will prove to be amusing.
Who knows, it might even come out better than I had planned.
Please keep in mind that Cat Hex is my intellectual property, and if you ever (for some sick reason) want to use her in your stories, please ask my permission, first. The same goes for the characters Cyren and Magus. You can email Cyren ('cyrenschant' is the first part of her email addy, @msn.com) for her permission to use those characters. Aside from that, any concepts in this story that you want to rip off - feel free. I only ask that you credit the appropriate parties.
