Chapter 03
Blue eyes flickered open as his mind cleared. The alley was gone.
The cold, hard metallic illusion of the trashcan he had been violated
on had been replaced by the soft codes of bed, blanket and a nice
fluffy pillows under his bottom.
"What's the deal with the fluffy pillows?" Me Too Smith wanted to
know. "You're fully capable of healing my wounds in a mere second."
"I am aware of that." True Smith told the still naked copy. "Just as I
do not need to have your suit dry cleaned."
"I assume it is at the dry cleaners?" Me Too Smith raised an eyebrow.
True Smith nodded. "Which leaves you in my care until it comes back."
"There is a danger." Me Too Smith pointed out.
"The Florence Nightingale Effect is impossible in this situation." True
Smith explained. "Because I am already in love with you."
The shy one looked out the window.
"Relax. He won't come for you. Not in any form that could do you harm."
True Smith left the room and came back a moment later carrying a female
dalmation.
The timid Smith studied the dog, then grinned. "Life's a bitch," he said, as
True Smith served the animal a can of dog food, much to its chagrin. "And
now, so are you."
