*Padme‘s apartment*
Padme is laying on Anakin’s chest. A hologram appears on the table in front of them.
C3PO: Miss Padme… Miss Padme.
She turns around and looks at the hologram. Anakin looks at the hologram, angrily.
Anakin: Is everything alright, Threepio?
C3PO: Forgive the intrusion Master Anikan, but Obi Wan Kenobi is on the landing platform.
Padme: Thank you Threepio.
Anakin turns and looks at Padme. She looks at him worriedly.
Anakin: He visits you here?
Padme: Anakin…
Anakin: See what he wants.
Padme: Yes Anakin. Hopefully this will not take long.
She puts on her robe and he looks at her angrily.
Anakin: Well, couldn’t you put some more clothes on.
Padme: Anakin, if he sees me in my nightgown with my robe, by the way, he will know to leave quickly.
He nods and she walks out of the room.
*Landing Platform*
Padme walks up to Obi Wan and they shake hands.
Padme: What may I do for you Master Kenobi?
Obi Wan: I’m looking for Anakin. I’ve been looking for him since this morning and I’m running out of places to look for him at.
Padme worriedly looks toward the inside of her apartment. She turns back to Obi Wan and smiles.
Padme: Well I can assure you that he is not here, Master Jedi.
Obi Wan: Thank you M’Lady.
He turns around; he starts walking toward his speeder, but then turns around.
Obi Wan: By chance, If you do see him please tell him that I need to speak to him… I was very unkind to him yesterday.
Padme nods.
Padme: I’ll be sure to tell him.
She turns around and walks back inside to her apartment.
Padme: Threepio…
C3PO: Yes, Miss Padme.
Padme: Make sure that Master Anakin and I have no more interruptions.
C3PO: Yes Miss Padme.
*Jedi Temple*
Yoda: Young Skywalker is hiding something I feel.
Windu: I feel it too.
Yoda: Then why so sure about making him a Master Jedi were you?
Windu: He has proven himself to the council on various occasions.
Yoda: This secrecy is unsettling.
Windu: I agree… but I do not feel his secrecy threatens the Jedi Order.
Yoda: But threatens Young Skywalker it does.
*Padme‘s apartment*
Padme: Now, are you going to tell me what happened last night? Are you ready to be completely honest?
Anakin: Obi Wan betrayed me. He tried everything that he could so that the council wouldn’t make me a master. He said that I was irrational, unpredictable, arrogant… he’s my mentor he should have believed in me.
Padme looks at him filled with concern.
Padme: But the council choose it’s best judgment and made you a Master Jedi.
Anakin: Yes, but I’m tired… I’m tired of him trying to hold me back. I’m tired of him saying that he keeps my best interest in mind when in reality he’s jealous of me. He’s jealous of my light saber skills. He’s jealous of my abilities to use the force. He’s jealous. I hate him!!!
Padme: Anakin…
Anakin: What? You’re taking his side now?
Padme: Anakin, I will always choose your side. I will always choose you, but right now you’re scaring me.
Anakin: I’m sorry Padme.
He stands up and she wraps her arms around his waist.
Padme: Who wouldn’t be jealous of you. You were the best Padawan and Jedi Knight that I’ve ever seen in battle. Now, you are a Master Jedi a rank that had never been given to someone of your age.
Anakin : I have the most beautiful wife in the universe and now I‘m going to be a father. I have a lot to be grateful for.
Padme kisses him, “And so do I.” He looks into her eyes, lovingly, and gently pushes her away from him.
Anakin: I’m sorry, but if we continue this we will be forced back to bed.
Padme remains silent.
Anakin: It’s late you have a meeting with the senate and I have to be at the Jedi temple.
Padme: You’re right.
Anakin: I must go now.
He kisses her once more.
Padme: Anakin, I love you… I know I’ve said this before, but I truly, deeply love you.
Anakin: I’m so in love with you.
Anakin walks out of the room leaving Padme to get ready for her meeting with the senate. She looks at herself in the mirror and smiles, “Mrs. Skywalker, you are starting to look pregnant… it‘s time for you to retire from the senate, so that you can devote yourself completely to your growing family.”
