CHAPTER THREE

I felt sick, Anakin wouldn’t murder so many creatures, and if he did, was there a good reason behind it? Right?

I groaned and got out of bed, Yoda had denied me permission to go to Tattoine. I was scared for Anakin, what would make him so angry and hurt?

My room was dark, very dark. I stood up and felt a wave a depression wash over me. Depression?

“oh no?” I said to myself, was I allowed to feel depression?

I shook my head and threw the thought’s aside, I would not dwell on it. I put on my brown tank top then force grabbed my lightsaber, if there’s one thing I learned, it was never to leave the JedI temple with out my lightsaber.

I didn’t bother with the pants considering I was wearing a pair on PJ pants. I slipped on my boots and started to make my way to the library where the front doors on the temple lay. Soon I was walking through the front doors and out, into the real world.

I sat down on a stool at the bar. It was the slum’s bar where low lives and drunk’s frequented. I came here a lot to talk with missy, the DJ.

“What can I get ya’?” one of the men behind the counter asked.

I turned to him, but before I could politely decline someone talked over me,

“A red whiskey on my tab”.

I turned to the source of the noise and was not pleased at all. It was a sith solder, and here on Coruscant?

I didn’t think this would please the council, and why on Earth was he buying me drinks, didn’t her notice the lightsaber. I decided to play it cool.

“That’s fine Sir I don’t drink” I said pleasantly.

He looked mildly surprised, “Then what are you doing in a bar, aren’t you a bit young?”

I studied the grey on his sith uniform for a second. I wasn’t about to give him any information about me. He then bent down low and I couldn’t help but recoil slightly.

He whispered the next words, they sent chills down my spine,

“Listen hun, I know you’re a JedI and there are probably about 3 different dark jedI in here, looking for a nice young padawan to manipulate, so why don’t you play along like a nice little pussy and hide your lightsaber?”

I gulped and looked at all the people out of the corner on my eye, scanning the room.

I then listened to his advice and pulled my shirt of my sabre, I usually wore it so people didn’t bug me, and now I was hiding it just for that sole purpose.

“I still don’t know why a jedI padawan would be in a bar, you must had sunken pretty low” he said taking the beer from the table and sipping it. The man handed me the red whiskey and I reluctantly took it.

I studied him for a minute, sandy blond hair that fell over his eyes, from the look of it, pale cold grey eyes that matched his uniform, he looked strong to and pretty young.

“what’s your name?” he asked interrupting my thoughts.

I made up a name, “Sheriah” I said the name just rolled out of my mouth.

He rose an eyebrow, “no way hm, there is a sith lord with that name, she sort or looks like you too” he stated.

I gulped and looked at the table.

“You should take a sip, you know as not to look suspicious” he said.

I did as he said and hated the taste.

“So what happened to your face?” he asked looking at the black line.

“A close friend died” was all I said, he looked puzzled for a second but let it drop.

“So like I said before you look to young for a bar” he didn’t bother looking at me that time and just drank his beer.

“I‘m not” was all I replied, “you do though”.

He chuckled, “I’m 25 young lady no need to worry about me, but you, you must be 16 or maybe 17?”

“I’m 18” I mumbled. “oh” he said looking surprised.

“I almost forgot to introduce myself, Derrick” he said giving me his hand. I reluctantly shook it.

“I didn’t think you would bother to stay and talk, I figured the minute I told you about ‘them’ you would leave” he said well leaning back on his chair.

I had to say I was rather enjoying his company, it was a change from the usual ‘no play no fun Masters’ and ‘oh no I have a test tomorrow’ padawan’s.

I merely took another sip of my whiskey before saying, “your right I should go, it was nice meeting you Derrick”

“You too Saria” he said.

It was then I noticed his slip up, “what did you call me?”

He looked surprised for a second before sighing, “I said Saria, I know who you are”

My heart dropped, “your suppose to find me aren’t you?”

He nodded, “but I’ll let you go, I happen to like you, but you better hurry ‘they’ will be able to smell my deception a mile away” he replied.

I made a split decision right then, “fine come with me though they cant get you in the temple, and you can maybe be saved” I replied well taking his hand, It was warm and I felt giddy.

He smiled at my child behaviour, “I don’t think so my dear, I cant just...go”.

I frowned before mouthing ‘thank you’ and made a dash for it.

I was out the door and well down the street before I sensed them. I turned my head to see 2 men and a women trailing me. They were wearing black robes and I noticed the light sabre’s on there belt. How could I have missed them?

I turned the corner sharply and made my way to the transport ship. I jumped on it and shouted,

“GO GO GO!”

They started rising the ship, I looked down thinking I won when I saw it.

The women had a child at bay, she had her light sabre ignited and was holding it at the child’s neck. The mother was crying and people were standing by.

I knew then that I was caught, I jumped the 15 feet down.

The women let the child go as the men grabbed me. They put a strange device around my neck.

I knew I was caught.

Yes I know your all wondering and 'yes' I think I may make Derrick Saria's lover. I'm just figureing out how to fit that in, and I do have a plot :)
