Chapter 4
To: Little_Fallen_Angel, CATTY and TomKaulitz thanks for the reviews, they really helped push me to write another chapter. : )
His hand spread out over her shoulder his eyes never leaving hers.
“You can start with my tie.”
She shot him a pleading glance, but he only laughed.
“My tie,” he repeated his nails digging into her skin. Slowly she raised shaky hands to his chest, running her fingers up the smooth surface of his dingy green patterned tie.
“Please,” she begged squeezing her eyes shut and grasping his tie. “Please just let me go. I promise I won’t tell anyone about anything that’s happened. I won’t try to lead anyone back here, I swear...just-just let me go.” She hated herself. She was begging, but all she wanted to do was leave here and forget this ever happened. Forget he happened.
“Now, now, now,” he patted her head. “What would be the fun in that?”
That was it, no more playing games. With what reserved strength she had left she grasped his tie more firmly and with all her might she pulled. The knot slide down the length of the tie and she could feel the Joker’s hands scramble to pry her fingers apart, trying to loosen the fabric and get air. She held firm though, even when she felt his fist collide with her mouth, she held on determined to kill him. Her victory was cut short, with one blood curdling scream, she felt a knife pierce through her leg. Her hands released and scrambled to pull the knife from her leg, as the Joker got to his feet backing away and gasping for air. He wasn’t used to being caught off guard, and he sure as hell wasn’t going to let it happen again. She looked up in time to see him rushing towards her, and reflexively she ripped the knife out of her leg and pointed it towards him.
“Don’t come any closer!!!” The Joker stopped. He stared down at her with an expressionless mask, slowly reaching into his pocket he pulled out an object that was in the shape of a long grenade.
“Have it your way.” He pulled the pin and dropped the can on the ground as yellow smoke began to pour out of it’s top, and he turned to leave the room.
“Next time you’ll show a little more gratitude when you get to see me,” he paused at the door. “If I let you wake up.”
She slid to the end of the mattress grabbing her tattered jeans. She ripped them in half taking one half and forming a tourniquet over her leg, and the other she covered her mouth hoping to stop the effects of the gas, but to no avail. With in a few short minutes her eyes rolled back and he last thing she saw was a masked figure enter the room with and open a white case.
She could feel the haze lifting, like she was walking through a thick fog. Her eyes looked up at a white wall ceiling, and a sigh of relief rushed from her. It had all been a dream. She would get out of her bed, look around at her room, and realize the past few days had been the result of food poisoning and she could continue on her life as normal. She lifted her head from a pillow, sheets falling off of her body letting air rush and chill her sweat covered body. She was naked! Her head shot down, to look at what had happened. She felt a hard tug as her hands moved forward to remove the blankets, only to reveal hard steel shackles clasped over her wrists like in some terrible medieval film. She examined her leg, the wound had been cleaned and stitched shut, with almost an expert skill. Her head snapped forward at the small sound of lips smacking together. There he was. Jacket sprawled across the back of a chair, vest unbuttoned, tie gone, and hands on his lap, his eyes staring up at her from unruly green hair. She looked at him and then back at the door.
“Were you a magician in a former life?” She stared wide-eyed at him, amazed that once again he had managed to enter the room without her even noticing. A smile broke across his face, but he said nothing. He continued to stare, unmoving, from the chair while Arien sat looking around nervously.
“I have to pee.” I broke through her mouth without her even realizing it. He made a short sound of amusement before rising from his seat. He walked across the floor up to the side of the bed, and grinned down.
“Do, ah-you think you can be a good girl?” She nodded slowly, clutching the blankets around her. He leaned down placing a hand on each side of her his face hovering inches from her. “How badly, do you need to go?”
“I’ve been knocked out three times already, I’m surprised I haven’t gone already.”
“Hmh,” she could see his eyes lit up. “You did.” He get out an almost musical laugh, reaching out for the chains and giving them a lit tug. The chains pulled through the a loop screwed into the wall. “Get up.” He mumbled, continuing to pull the chains until he was holding the ends in his hands and shuffling her out of bed. She stepped down on to hard wood, a soothing contrast to the cold concrete she had been on before. The chains dragged across the floor as the Joker walked ahead towards a white door in the wall. The door revealed a small bathroom. The floors were complete tile, with drain in the middle of the floor. To the left was a toilet and to the right was a faucet sticking out of the top of the wall and a hot/cold water knob below it with a range of tall and short bottles lined on the floor beneath it.
“In.” He jerked his head towards the inside. Wearily she slid past him turning around to close the door, only to have it swing back at her when it bounced off her chain.
“I can’t shut the door.”
“I know,” he retorted, “Hurry up.” Joker turned his back to her. “I won’t wait forever.”
She quickly turned and hiding behind the door, dropped her sheet and took a seat. How awkward was this? This was definitely the last place she wanted to be. She finished her business and grabbed the sheet as quick as she had dropped it and slid back around the corner of the door. With out turning around the Joker led her back to the bed running her chains back through the loop. She climbed up seating herself in the center of the bed. She watched him across the room and pick up a jug and walk into the bathroom. The sound of running water lasted a while, before he reemerged with a jug full of water and set it down beside the bed. He gave her one last glance before turning and heading towards the door.
“Wait, can I-can I get something to eat?” She tried to give him the look her dog used to give her when she wanted a special treat.
“No, no, no,” he spun back towards her. “No food is -ah-...a luxury. If you want food you’re going to have to earn it-ah.”
Her stomach gave an unearthly growl, as he seated himself beside her and gave her a smug look. She looked down at her feet her mouth making a hard line. Chuckling he walked back towards the door.
“Let me know when you’re ready to eat.” He walked through pulling the door closed behind him, and she could hear him laughing down the hall.
I didn't take a lot of time to proof-read this one like I do with the others, so I'm sure there are more than a few errors. Let me know what they are and I will correct them. Lemme know what you think.
