And not to worry Jack won’t do anything criminal…well at least nothing too bad. But Elizabeth will definitely give in to her desire for Jack…and soon!! Please read and review the latest chapter!!

Elizabeth looked up from her dinner that still sat in front of her untouched when the clock struck midnight. The food that the cook had prepared had long since gotten cold while she had sat there waiting for her husband to come home. It was midnight and Will hadn’t come home yet. Jack had eaten his dinner while trying to make small talk about any random thing to try and keep her mind off of her absentee husband…but it had failed horribly. She had barely said two words to him and had outright refused to touch her dinner until Will joined them. Finally giving up on keeping her company at about eleven Jack had excused himself and retired to one of the guestrooms that Elizabeth had made up for him to stay in. Sighing heavily Elizabeth looked down and realized that she had been holding her fork in her hand the entire time. Frowning she set it down next to her plate and stood up. Martha quickly came scurrying into the dining hall when she heard Elizabeth get up from the table.

“Oh Miss Elizabeth, you didn’t even touch your meal. Was something not to your liking ma’am?”

“Oh no Martha…I just was waiting for Will that’s all. Has he come home?”

“No ma’am.”

“Oh I see…well then I suppose I should get upstairs to bed then.”

“Yes ma’am goodnight Miss Elizabeth.”

“Goodnight Martha.”

Martha cleared away Elizabeth’s plate and silverware and was about to reach for her glass of wine when Elizabeth grasped her hand to stop her.

“No Martha…leave it…along with the bottle.”

“Yes ma’am…well goodnight.”

“Goodnight Martha.”

Elizabeth sank back down into her chair at the table and reached over to grab her glass of wine. Finishing what was in the glass she grabbed the bottle that was nearly three quarters of the way full she poured a generous amount into her glass. Sighing she held up the glass and in a mocking tone made a toast to the empty room.

“Here’s to wedded bliss.”

Taking a large gulp she snorted before opening her mouth to make another snide remark.

“Wedded bliss my arse…wedded hell is more like it!”

Elizabeth drained the contents of her glass and didn’t hesitate to pour another. Leaning on her elbow on the table she gulped down the glass of wine quickly. Pouring another full glass she began gulping it down quickly. Elizabeth had a good mind to get drunk…good and drunk. And she had a good mind to go find her absentee husband and tell him just what she thought of him at the moment. Glancing up when the grandfather clock struck two A.M. she smirked and looked down at the bottle of wine which was now more than half empty. Shrugging her shoulders she poured another glass and stood up making the feet of her chair scrape loudly against the floor. Walking around the dining hall she gulped her wine hastily. Coming full circle around the table Elizabeth grabbed the bottle from the table and went to pour herself another glass. Stopping before she poured any she glanced around. Shrugging she set the glass down on the table.

“Why bother with being polite? There’s no one around to see what I’m doing anyway.”

Elizabeth brought the bottle up to her lips and tilted it up to take a generous drink from it. Wiping her mouth with the back of her hand she snickered to herself. The wine was certainly starting to take effect now. Tilting the bottle up and draining the last of it she set the now empty bottle back onto the table next to her glass. Her face was hot and she felt warm and tingly all over. Walking out of the dining hall Elizabeth reached out to touch the wall as she lost her balance a bit. Chuckling out loud she walked towards the stairs. Holding onto the railing she began heading upstairs towards her and Will’s bedroom. She got about halfway down the hall when she stopped. Turning towards her left she realized that she was standing in front of Jack’s room. Feeling her heart speed up a bit she looked down the hall towards her room briefly before looking back at Jack’s closed door. Was he asleep? Should she knock? Taking an unsteady step forward Elizabeth reached out and prepared to knock on his bedroom door. But at the last moment she froze. A million thoughts were swirling through her head.

‘God what am I doing? Go to bed Elizabeth…just go to bed!! You have a husband and you love him!’

Lowering her hand she winced when she heard an annoying little voice echoing through her head.

‘Married or not you want this…you want him. Jack makes you feel things that your husband could never understand. Go to him! You might not ever get this chance again!’

Shaking her head back and forth Elizabeth blurted out in a louder voice than she intended to.

“Oh just go the hell away! What do you know?”

Suddenly Jack’s door opened and Elizabeth looked up to see the pirate standing there looking at her with wide inquisitive brown eyes.

“Who are ye talking t’ love?”

Shaking her head Elizabeth looked down towards her feet as she felt her face go ablaze. What was she going to do now? Everything in her was screaming at her to run away and go to her room but it was as if she had lost all control of her own body.
