Nothing Is What It Seems

Jareth was immediately aware of Sarah's summons, but made no move to answer it. His quill scritched quickly across the polite declination he was penning to Civian's invitation. It wasn't that he wouldn't have liked to lose himself in a hunt for the afternoon, but grievances began in only - he glanced up at the intricate clock on the wall of his study - fourteen minutes. Not to mention the that accounts needed tallying, or the plans he had to review for a new addition to the kitchens, or the bit of the hedge maze that had started defying gravity all on it's own and needed to be put right.



So when Sarah summoned him a second time just as he was scrawling his signature across the bottom of the missive, Jareth brought her to him.
