Chapter 19

"Good Morning sleepy head!"

Sarah squinted her eyes and looked up at her friend who seemed WAY too happy this early in the morning.

"Rise and shine! I brought you some breakfast!"

"Wha...What is it?"

"I stopped at Dunkin Donuts on the way here and brought you a Vanilla Chai tea and a poppy seed bagel."

"Cream Cheese?"

"Hell yeah! I even picked up something for Jareth!"

"You did? What the hell did you get him from Dunkin Donuts?"

"Well, I wasn't sure at first, but I got him a croissant. I wasn't sure what he would like, but the croissant seemed like an elegant breakfast choice for a king..."

"You are too much..."

"I know, but you love me anyway!"

Sarah dragged herself out of bed and took a shower. She decided on wearing simple black pants and a cranberry colored button down shirt. She brushed her hair and was just applying mascara when Colvin came in to talk to her.

"So, ah what time is he coming?"

"I have to su him him here and he will come."

"So you mean I got up at the crack of dawn for nothing? Why couldn't you summon him like around 11?"

"Colvin, we have to make it appear that we are leaving from California, remember? Who leaves to go half way across the country at 11? See my point?"

"Ok, ok just hurry up and summon him. I have been waiting to see what a Goblin King looks like."

"Alright already! How do I look? Does my butt look big in these pants?"

"No, you look gorgeous...just call him Sar!"

"Thanks Colvin. See where would I be without you?"

"I know I know, well, lets get this show on the road!"

Sarah nodded and headed over to stand in front of the mirror.

"Hey Colvin? Try to look inconspicuous and let me do the talking okay?"

"You got it."

Colvin walked over to Sarah's bed and sat on it hoping that this was all going to work for Sarah's sake. Sarah took a deep breath and looked at the mirror. She closed her eyes and summoned him the same way she did the first time.

"Jareth, I need you."

At first, nothing happened and Colvin looked into her lap, beginning to feel truly worried for Sarah. Maybe she had finally gone over the edge? Who actually believes in this fairy tale stuff anyways? It probably wasn't healthy. Suddenly, a breeze began to swirl around Sarah's bedroom and Colvin jumped when she heard a masculine voice coming from behind her.

"Sarah, who is your charming friend?"

Colvin spun around to face the Goblin King in all his glory. He looked just the way that Sarah hadcribcribed him; tall and thin, but not lanky, wild platinum blonde hair and a wicked grin.

"Jareth, this is my best friend, Colvin."

"Pleased to make your acquaintance Colvin."

Colvin didn't know what to say, so she said the only thing that came to her head...

"Croissant?"

"Pardon me?"

"For breakfast..."

"No thank you, I have already taken my breakfast this morning."

Sarah decided it was time to tell him the news.

"Jareth I have made my decision and I wanted to tell you..."

"Sarah wait. Before you say anything, there is something I must say...however I hadn't planned on having an audience, but so be it."

"What is it Jareth?"

"Sarah Williams, I do hereby announce to you that I, Jareth, King of the Goblins, Loves you."

Jareth winced as soon as the words fell from his lips with fear that she would laugh at him.

Sarah couldn't contain her smile, as hard as she tried not to laugh, she couldn't help it and burst out laughing. She had noticed how business-like his declaration of love was, but he had said it nonetheless.

"Well, I am delighted to hear it because that means my decision will make you happy then."

Jareth looked up from his boots and couldn't believe what he was hearing, "You...you mean..."

"Yes, Jareth, King of the Goblins, I will marry you."

Jareth rushed over to Sarah and scooped her up into his arms. At this point he was so elated that he didn't care who witnessed this outward displf emf emotion.

Colvin watched with glee as her friend hugged the man she loved. She was relieved that Sarah was telling the truth about all of this because for a little while Colvin was beginning to worry about her friend's sanity. Colvin was being patient, but she really did want Sarah to get on with asking Jareth if she could go with them.

"Ah...Hem..."

Sarah broke from her euphoria to look over at Colvin who shot her a "It is time to ask him now" look.

"Jareth I wish to ask a favor of you."

"Anything, My love."

"Since I am to live in the Underground with you, I will need someone besides you that I can talk with and visit with while you are doing your king thing...You know like a handmaiden?"

Colvin's jaw dropped. She would have to her handmaiden? Whatever the hell THAT was...

"Sarah, I assure the there are many goblin women who would readily..."

"No, Jareth, I wish Colvin to be my handmaiden."

"Sarah, you know I can't allow that."

"Why not? You are the King aren't you??"

"Yes, but we still have rules that must be followed. I cannot take a mortal adult from the aboveground without just cause."

Colvin decided it was her time to speak up.

"Your highness, I wish to go with Sarah."

"Are you wishing yourself over to me?"

Sarah looked at her friend and vigorously nodded her head 'YES'.

"Well, Yes, I suppose I am."

"Very well then. Usually being wished over to me isn't so pleasant, but in this case we will consider it a loophole for Sarah's sake. We must get back, there is much to be done before this evening."

"Jareth can you give me a minute? I just have to say goodbye to my family. I promised I would."

"Very well, I shall wait here, please don't tarry."

"I'll be right back!"

Sarah turned and left the room to say goodbye to her family, leaving Colvin alone in her bedroom with the Goblin King.

"So...Jareth, May I call you Jareth?"

"I suppose, but not in front of my subjects. It is to be 'Your Highness or Your Majesty'."

"Right, so what is the Labyrinth like?"

"Very difficult from your world I suppose. The closest comparison I can make would be to that of an abooundound fairy tale."

Colvin beamed and thought to herself, "There must really be Princes theren!"n!"

"So, you wouldn't happen to have any cute friends would you?"

"I beg your pardon?"

Just before Colvin could say another word, Sarah strolled back into the room.

"Ready to go?" Sarah asked.

"Quite." Jareth replied as he glanced toward Colvin who simply shrugged her shoulders.

Jareth threw a crystal down on top of all the packed bags that Sarah obviously felt the need to bring with her and they were instantly transported to the castle. Jareth then asked Colvin to grasp Sarah's hand as he used a transportation spell on the three of them. Moments later, Jareth, Sarah and Colvin all appeared at the castle. Colvin looked around wide-eyed.

"Whoa. This is a real castle..."

"Yeah Colvin, I told you it was..."

"No, but I mean, this is really a real castle! You know, like back in the day style!"

Sarah laughed at her friend. It would take some getting used to for both of them. This realm didn't have many of the technological advancements as the aboveground had, but it had something equally as good...Magic.

"Sarah, I have some matters to attend to with the Seelie Court. Why don't you and your friend make yourselves welcome. This is your home now. Goresh will escort you to your rooms."

Goresh instantly appeared in the doorway to the throne room.

"This way please."

Sarah grabbed Colvin and took off to follow Goresh to their rooms.

There were two rooms side by side. The first was Colvin's room according to Goresh. Colvin walked in and almost fainted. Sarah had to grab her arm to keep her ffallfalling over.

There was a full sized bed complete with satin sheets of a dark navy blue. There was a large floor length mirror as well as an antique armoire. Colvin saw that her bags were placed neatly on the floor by the bed. She walked over to the armoire and opened it to reveal several gorgeous dresses that were exactly her size.

"He doesn't have bad taste either, Sar...Well, he is a snappier dresser than most guys, must be the Fairy in him..."

"That's Fae, Colvin."

"Right, whatever."

Colvin moved over to the large window that overlooked the beautiful courtyard below. The sun was shining down, and there were gorgeous flowers everywhere.

"This place looks like it really is out of a fairy tale! Le go go check out your room Sar."

Goresh led Sarah and Colvin to the next room that was to be Sarah's. Sarah's room was a good deal larger than Colvin's, but then again, she was going to be Queen. There was an enormous four-poster bed complete with a delicate mosquito netting made from the finest fabric. Sarah also had a large mirror, an antique armoire, and a jewel encrusted vanity table.

"Wow, Sar, he really must be crazy about you, look at this room!"

Sarah turned to see a small envelope with her name carefully scrawled across the front.

"Whatcha got? A love letter?"

"I don't know..."

"Well, what are you waiting for? Open it and find out!"

Sarah opened the letter and carefully read its contents:

"Dearest Sarah,

I cannot begin to relate to you how pleased I am with your decision. Please meet me tonight at 7 pm in my private ballroom. Wear the dress in your armoire.

~Jareth"

"Wow, sounds like he has quite the evening planned for you...well, lets see the dress!"

Sarah walked slowly over to the armoire and pulled open the doors. Her jaw nearly hit the floor wshe she saw that it was the very same dress she had worn six years earlier in her ballroom fantasy with him.

"Talk about style...Sarah, this is like the mother of all prom dresses!"

"Colvin, this isn't the prom..."

"Hey look Sar, another note!"

Sarah opened the small piece of paper she found in the exquisite little slippers that matched the bedazzled gown.

"Sarah,

One more thing...I wish to make you my bride as soon as possible, so how about tonight? It will be a small ceremony in the castle chapel. Please tell Colvin I shall require her presence as well, we will need witnesses. The ceremony will be at 9 pm this evening.

~Jareth"

"You are getting MARRIED tonight?? This really is your big night!"

"Colvin, will you be my maid of honor?"

"But of course Madame...or shall I call you 'Your Majesty'! Help me pick out a dress!"

Colvin and Sarah giggled as they headed back to Colvin's room to find a dress for her to wear.

"I like this on, the pale lavender brings out your eyes."

"Me too...Oh this will be so much fun! Are you nervous?"

"Oh my god YES! I am marrying the man of my dreams in a matter of HOURS! Speaking of hours, what time is it??"

"Ah, the clock on the mantle says 11 am."

"Well, I am going to catch a power nap...I have a feeling I won't get much sleep tonight."

Colvin elbowed her friend jokingly, "Yeah, I'll bet!"

"Oh shut up, you'd be doing the same thing if it was your weddinght!\ht!"

"Bow Chicka Bow Bow!"

"Oh Colvin, stop with the porn music!"

Colvin laughed and said, "Well, you landed yourself a King, so I better get a move on and find me a Prince!"

"You find one Colvin...Well, I am gonna go grab that nap, will you be ok alone for a while?"

"Yeah, I think I am gonna go check out that courtyard I saw below my window. Don't worry though; I will be back to get you all spiffed up for your wedding! Goodnight Sarah.

"Goodnight Colvin.

Chapter 20

Colvin decided to venture into the courtyard as her first adventure in exploration after she had seen the beautiful landscape below. She walked into a large clearing that had walls made of gigantic shrubbery. There were beautiful roses of every color, as well as peach colored gladiolas and deep purple irises. Colvin bent down to examine a large brightly colored Iris when she heard a voice behind her...

"Beautiful, aren't they?" Said a male voice.

Colvin spun around fast and nearly knocked over the most beautiful man she had ever seen in her life. She immediately blushed when she noticed him look her over.

"And who might you be mademoiselle?"

"Uh, my name is Colvin. I am here with Sarah."

She couldn't think of anything to say for fear that she would say something totally stupid. This guy, whoever he was, was beyond FINE.

"So I see decidecided to accept Jareth's proposal then."

"Yes, she did. I believe they wish to be alone tonight though. I was just keeping busy checking this place out."

"I see. Allow me to introduce myself; my name is Valerian. I am an old friend of Jareth's."

"Nice to meet you..." Colvin said as she bit her lower lip seductively.
Valerian looked her up and down once again making note of her strange attire. She seemed to be wearing hardly any shirt...it had only two thin straps running over her shoulders to hold it up. As for her skirt, well, it barely covered anything...he could see her legs for God sake!!! And what luscious...long...legs they were...

"Tell me about yourself, Colvin."

"What would you like to know?"

"What is your favorite thing to do?"

"To You?"

"What?!?"

Colvin giggled, "Oh, uh, I like to go for walks and talk."

"Well, it just so happens that I do as well! Shall I show you around the rest of the gardens?"

Colvin took Valerian's arm and didn't miss the opportunity to brush up against him with her chest. Valerian didn't miss the suggestive move and decided two could play at this game. He playfully draped his arm around her waist as he escorted her through the gardens. He also didn't miss the opportunity to let his hand playfully slide across her backside.

Colvin jumped and looked at him with a wicked grin on her face. He looked back at her and casually raised an eyebrow in acknowledgement of their flirtatious behavior.

"So, Tell me Valerian, do you have a girlfriend? Is there a Mrs. Valerian somewhere?"

"No, I have never taken a wife. I haad aad a few liaisons from time to time, but nothing significant."

"Really..."

"What about you, Colvin, Is there a gentleman in your life?"

"Not currently, no. But I have been around the block a few times if you catch my drift."

"Well, your expression is unusual, but I think I know what you mean."

Colvin just stood facing Valerian looking at inviinvitingly for what seemed like five whole minutes.

"Colvin, would you like to accompany me for dinner this evening?"

"I would love to! Oh shit, wait...I promised Sarah that I would help her get ready for her evening with Jareth. Can we do it a little later, like between 7 and 9 pm?"

"I don't see why not..."
Suddenly, a small little creature waddled up to Valerian and handed him an envelope. Valerian quickly read it and saw that it was from Jareth.

"Valerian, what the hell was that thing?"

"Oh, it was just a goblin...don't be alarmed."

"Yeah...I guess they do look a little like Muppets."

"What?"

"Never mind...so, was that from Jareth?"

"Yes, here you may read it since you are so closely acquainted with Lady Sarah."

Colvin took the letter and read it to herself quickly.
"Valerian,

Sorry I couldn't tell you in person, but she has accepted my proposal. We shall be married at 9pm this evening, and I will require your presence to be my witness.
~Jareth"
"So they are getting married at 9 pm then. Is that where you were rushing off to?"

"Yes, actually I am Sarah's maid of honor."

"Ah, her lady in waiting."

"Well, I ain't waiting, but I'll be her lady...person."

Colvin winced knowing how totally dumb that last comment was, but apparently Valerian found her pretty amusing.

"Well, Lady Colvin, I shall see you this evening at 8 pm? We can attend the wedding together."

"Sounds wonderful...well, I have to be going, but I will definitely see you later..."

In the next instant, Valerian was gone. Colvin rushed back to the castle. She HAD to tell Sarah all about this guy, and giver her biggest hug ever for talking her into coming with her.
***
Jareth was in the ballroom making sure everything was perfect. There was a table set for two, and crystal chandeliers hanging from various points in the ceiling. All of the walls in the ballroom were mirrored glass. Jareth knew ome ome of the aboveground traditions and he decided to surprise Sarah and present her with a diamond ring as a wedding gift. The underground possessed some of the finest diamonds in the universe. He had one specifically picked out for her and set into a band of gold.

Jareth looked down at the ring, and his heart throbbed. Valerian had been right. Falling in love is all part of the divine plan. To try and avoid falling in love was like trying to cheat death. It will be when it will be. Jareth was surprised to find that being in love with Sarah didn't seem like a weakness anymore. Now that he knew she loved him, it made him feel like the most powerful being in the universe.

Jareth looked at the clock. He had to go change his attire for his evening with Sarah; it was nearly 6 pm.
***
Colvin rushed into Sarah's room to help her get ready for the wedding and to tell her about the hot guy she met in the courtyard. Sarah woke up and immediately looked at the clock.

"Colvin! Why didn't you come wake me up sooner?!? I only have an hour before I'm supposed to meet Jareth!"

"I'm sorry Sar, I met this absolutely gorgeous man in the courtyard, and I kinds lost track of time."

At that same moment, almost as if on cue, the door burst open and a small goblin woman waddled in.

"Which of you is the Lady Sarah?\ Sar Sarah stepped forward, "I am."

"Lady Sarah, you must hurry and take a bath. King Jareth has sent me to fix your hair and paint your face."

Colvin stood facing the small goblin woman.

"Oh no, I am fixing Sarah up for her wedding; I am her maid of honor you know!"

"Yes, Yes, I am aware of that, but his majesty has specifically sent me so that I might 'replicate' a certain...ah...look for the Lady this evening. I have strict instructions, so if there is a problem, you will have to take it up with his majesty."

"Oh...well, in that case, be my guest. Is that alright with you Sar?"
Sarah yelled out from the bathroom, "Whatever, as long as my hair doesn't look like a rat's nest, and you can't see the bags under my eyes, I don't care who does it!"

Colvin gestured for the goblin woman to step into Sarah's bedrand and wait for her to come out of the bathroom.

"Hey Sar, have you figured out how to use the bathtubs yet? I was thinking of taking one after you were on your way."

"Actually, now that you mention it, no I haven't. The bath was already filled with warm water and bubbles when I walked in. I assumed it was for me, so I jumped in."

"Um, excuse me, Goblin Lady?"

"You may call me Raella...what is it child?"

"Raella, how do I get the bathtub working?"

"Do you wish to take a bath?"

"Well, not right now, but after Sarah leaves I would."

"Think in your mind before you go into the bathroom that you would like to take a bath. Envision the bath in your mind, and when you enter the bathroom it shall be ready for you."

"How?"

"Magic of course!"

"Oh...does it drain itself too?"

"Yes dear. Naturally, after you finish your bath you forget about it and the water will disappear."

"Wow...I wish we had telepathic tubs back in the aboveground...I could have made a fortune selling those!"

"Colvin!"

"Yeah Sarah?"

"Can you please do up this darn corset for me?"

"Be right there! What are best friends for?"

Colvin went into the bathroom to help Sarah lace up the old fashioned corset.

"Jareth will have fun getting you out of this tonight..."

Sarah smirked and remembered Colvin mentioning a hot guy she had met earlier.

"Colvin, so who is this guy you were rambling about earlier?"
"OH! I was down in the courtyard, you know, just checking things out...and this guy came from out of nowhere and scared the hell out of me. Well, he was absolutely drop dead gorgeous, so I started chatting him up. Well, things got a little flirty, and he asked me to have dinner with him tonight! I think he must have been one of those Fae mobilities or something."

"Fae Nobilities...NO-BIL-ITIES."

"Right. Well, we were chatting and getting a little touchy feely, and he was giving me that look...you know, the "I like you, you like me, wanna fuck" kinda looks...Do you think I should meet him later?"

"Don't you want to?"

"Hell yeah...but do you think I am being to easy? Should I play hard to get?"

"No, if you want to do it, do it. There is no point to playing games...that is one lesson Jareth and I learned. I should've never left 6 years ago...well, if you do go, you won't be late for my wedding right? I'm counting on you to be there you know..."

"Sar...that is the best part...his name is Valerian, and he is Jareth's best man!"

"Really? How cool is that! We can double date!!"

The two girls burst out into a fit of giggles when Raella coughed to remind them to move things along.

Sarah came out of the bathroom with Colvin behind her. Raella helped Sarah step into the shimmering ball gown and quickly sat her down to do her hair and her makeup. Raella held a crystal out in front of Sarah and asked her to look into it.

"Is this what your hair and makeup looked like dear?"

Sarah gazed into the image that seemed to be burned into the crystal's depths. She could see herself in Jareth's arms swirling around the enchanting ballroom. She remembered feeling so safe in his arms. She realized that this image came from her ballroom fantasy 6 years earlier.

"Sar, Hey, earth to Sarah!"

"He kept this?"

"What? Sarah you were daydreaming...Raella asked you if that is the look he is trying to achieve?"

"Yes...Yes it's accurate."

"Well ok miss, close your eyes and you'll be done in no time."

Sarah closed her eyes. She could feel a slight tickling sensation wash over her scalp and she couldn't suppress a giggle.
"It tickles!"

"Hold still dear, almost done."

Sarah could feel the tickle wash down over her face gently.

"There dear, all finished. What do you t?" ?"

Sarah opened her eyes and turned to face Colvin, and Colvin's Jaw dropped.

"Sar...You look FABULOUS! Wow, you could do the red carpet the way you look!"

Sarah walked mover to the large floor length mirror and stared at her reflection.

"This isn't a dream is it?" Sarah managed to choke out as a single tear slid down her cheek.

"No Sar, this isn't a dream. You look beautiful, and you are about to marry the man of your dreams. Hey, it is almost 7 pm, you should head over to meet Jar...His majesty."

Sarah turned around and wiped the tear from her cheek and smiled. She gave her friend a big hug and whispered in her ear, "Thanks for everything...have a great time tonight with Valerian, I know you want to go."

Colvin laughed and admitted that she did want to see him again, and that she would get ready too and head over to meet him.

Sarah followed Raella over to the door and she yelled back to Colvin, "Behave yourself tonight!"

"Yeah...yeah..."Colvin laughed as Sarah followed Raella out of the room. Colvin headed back to her own bedroom to learn how to use the telepathic tub.

Chapter 21

Colvin stood outside the bathroom door and said, "I would REALLY love a hot bath, actually, make that.I REALLY REALLY wish there was a bathtub filled with hot water and bubbles on the other side of this door!"

She slowly opened the door to find an old fashioned porcelain bathtub filled with steaming hot water and silky bubbles.

"No Shit, look at that."

Colvin walked in and didn't waste any time. She submerged herself in the bathtub and took a deep breath. She closed her eyes and rested her head against the back of the tub. When Colvin opened her eyes, Valerian was sitting on the edge of the bathtub looking at her with a wicked grin on his face.

"What the.How did you get in here??!!"
sim simply wished to see you and you just HAPPENED to be in the bath."

"Do you mind? I am naked in here you know."

Valerian raised an eyebrow playfully, "No, I don't mind at all, please, don't stop on my account."

"You're watching."

"Alright, alright, I get the hint.I will wait for you in the courtyard as planned, I just couldn't stop thinking about you since we met earlier, and I wondered what you were up to."

Colvin blushed a deep shade of crimson.

"Well, aren't you sweet. Now get out so I can put some clothes on!!"

"I can't watch?"

"Valerian!!"

"Kidding, just a joke.meet me in the courtyard at 8."

"Ok, ok, just go!"

"As you wish." And Valerian was gone.

Colvin sighed. "He want's to play does he.I'll show him what flirting is all about. He has no idea what he is in for tonight!!"

Valerian appeared in the courtyard and laughed to himself, "That little minx has no idea what she is in for tonight!!!"
***
Sarah stood outside of the ornately carved wooden doors. As she raised her hand to knock, the doors slowly opened as if welcoming her.

The room was dim as she walked across the gleaming marble floor, suddenly the music started.that familiar song. She had heard it the last time she had been in this room. She heard the voice; almost an echo until she realized where it was coming from.

"There's such a sad love, deep in your eyes, a kind of pale jewel open and closed within your eyes.I'll kiss the sky.within your eyes."

As she looked over to the source of the soothing voice she was surprised to see Jareth singing to her.it was his voice! Strange.she had never noticed before. He looked exactly as he had the last time she stood in this ballroom with him over 6 years ago. He wore a dark blue sequined frock coat and his frost blond hair even had streaks of blue to complete the outfit.

Jareth took in the site of her and smiled. She was perfect, his Sarah. His head swam with overflowing feelings of complete and utter love for her.

"Sarah, my love, you look exquisite."

"Thank you, as do you." She said meekly as she blushed.

"Sarah, Before we have dinner, there is something I wish to give to you."

"What is it?"

"It's a present." Jareth said as he handed her the small crystal box.

Sarah opened the box and couldn't believe her eyes. She pulled out the diamond ring with the look of utter disbelief on her face.

"Jareth, this is so beautiful!"

Jareth lifted his hand to her face, "The Underground is known for its flawless diamonds. I went through so many to find just the right one that I felt would truly match your beauty."

"Oh Jareth, I don't know what to say!"

"Say you will love me until the end of time."

Sarah threw her arms around him and kissed him as she whispered in his ear, "I will love you until the end of time, and longer still."

Jareth held her tightly as he breathed in her scent. Was this real? Did he finally have the love of his life by his side? If this was a dream, he wished to the maker that he would never wake.

Sarah lightly touches ars arm, "Shall we eat?"

Jareth awaoke from his reverie and looked at sarah with genuine affection.

"Yes love, dinner awaits."

Jareth escorted Sarah to the small, carved table set for two. There were several silver platters with silver tops placed on the table.

"I wasn't so sure as to what you would like, so I took the liberty and had my chef prepare a veritable feast. Surely there must be something on this t you you would delight in."

Jareth lifted the lid of the first platter and there was a large roast beef, roasted to perfection. The second platter was a golden roasted chicken with a light gravy. The last two contained a delicious smelling wild rice, and mixed fruits and vegetables of every colo
"
"This all looks so wonderful, Jareth, thank you so much for this."

"For the chicken?"

"No, for tonight. For everything."

"You are most welcome, my love."

Sarah helped herself to the mouth-watering food they lay before her on the table. She had been eyeing the chicken and rice ever since he pulled the lids off. The food was to die for. She glanced up and smiled sweetly at Jareth. If this was what the rest of the nigouldould be like, she was sure it would be unforgettable.
***
Colvin walked out of the bathroom looking around cautiously for a certain peeping Valerian. The coast was clear so she made her way over to the armoire.

"Ok, time to get dressed.looking for clean underwear, where are you."

Colvin looked through every garment in her armoire.no underwear. The only thing that she could find was a corset and a pair of knickers.

"You have GOT to be kidding me.oh yeah.these will get me laid tonight.I don't think so."

She looked at the corset and decided that was out of the question since she didn't have anyone around to help her lace it up.

"Well, this calls for the heavy artillery then."

Colvin made her way over to her bags that were piled neatly beside her bed.

"Aha! I knew I brought these for a reason!" She pulled out her Victoria's Secret black push up bra and her black lace panties. They would do just nicely. Colvin pulled on her lavender dress that she aaraharah had previously agreed on, scrunched her hair a bit, and put on a tad of makeup.

"Perfecto!" She leaned over and kissed her reflection in the mirror before she left the room to meet Valerian in the courtyard.
***
Jareth and Sarah were finishing up dinner when Sarah noticed the clock on the opposite wall.

"It's eight O'Clock."

"So it is.only one more hour and you will become my wife."

"Colvin should be meeting her date right about now too."

"Date?"

"Yeah, she said she had dinner plans with some guy she met in the courtyard earlier.I think she said his name was Valerian."

Jareth laughed, "Ah, Valerian is a good friend of mine. Perhaps they will be a good match? He was just telling me the other day that he was beginning to tire of the women here in the Underground and that he longed to meet someone new and exciting."

Sarah smiled, "He wouldn't happen to be a Prince would he?"

"Yes, why do you ask?"

"No reason, Colvin would be overjoyed to hear it though." As Sarah chuckled to herself.
***
Colvin peered around the shrubs of the courtyard. When she didn't see Valerian right away she began to think that he had decided to stand her up.

"Looking for something?"

"Valerian!"

"Were you expecting someone else?"

"No, I just didn't see you.you gotta stop sneaking up on me like that."

"My apologies. I didn't mean to frighten you, it's just you you look so innocent when you are surprised."

Colvin laughed, "It's been a while since I heard THAT!"

"Colvin, tell me about yourself."

"Aren't we going to eat? All I had to eat today was a bagel from Dunkin Donuts this morning." Colvin placed her hand on her stomach as it growled loudly.

"Yes, we'll eat.what is Dunkin Donuts?"

Valerian waved a hand and a table for two appeared with several different dishes on it.

"How did you do that?"

"Magic, why?"

"Can you summon anything you want that way?"

"yes, I suppose. If it truly exists, I can. So, you never answered my question, what s Dunkin Donuts?"

"You have so much to learn! Dunkin Donuts has the BEST coffee in the world."

"Coffee.I have heard of it, although I have never tasted it myself."

"You've never had coffee?!? You are missing out.do you have any kind of Caffeine beverages at all here?"

"I do drink tea."

"You would.Hey.Dunkin Donuts exists, therefore you should be able to summon it. Try to summon a cup of Dunkin Donuts Coffee."

"Well, I have never tried that one, but if you insist."

"Oh, I insist!"

Valerian concentrated and waved his hand over the table and said, "Dunkin Donuts Coffee."

"Oh, I want extra cream and extra sugar." Colvin piped in.

"With Extra Cream and Extra Sugar, please."

When he pulled his hand away, there it was - Dunkin Donuts coffee in all of its glory.

"Try a sip, but be careful, it is probably hot."

"I know that, I am not totally ignorant you know."

"Sorry."

Valerian lifted the cup to his lips and took a sip.

"Mmm.this is absolutely delicious!"

"It will give you a nice buzz too."

"A what?"

"Nevermind, let's eat!"

Colvin took another sip of her coffee and helped herself to the platters of food Valerian had provided."

"You still haven't answered my question."

"What question?"

"I wanted you to tell me about yourself."

"What do you want to know?"

"Well, for starters, what is your family like?"

"They are great. My mom spends a lot of time in her garden when she is not teaching at the local highschool, and my dad works with computers."

"He works with what?"

"Computers.it is an Aboveground technology thing.it's not important."

"Oh. Can I ask you a personal question?"

"Sure, I guess."

"Have you had many lovers?"

"Well, that depends, what would you consider many?"

"Oh, I don't know, how many have you had?"

"So far, in my lifetime, three."

"That's all?!?"

"Well yeah, I'm only 21 years old for Christ's sake. Why, how many have you had?"

"A good deal more than three."

"Yeah? Like how many are we talking?"

"Oh, I don't know, about 557, somewhere around there I think."

"557??!! That is insane!! You can't be more than 30 years old! That's like three women a day!!"

"Colvin, I am great deal older than 3

"Well, how old are you then?"

"Try 800 years old and counting."

"What?!"

"Colvin, I am immortal. I'm Fae."

"Right. So you're one of those Fae mobilities I have been hearing so much about."

"A What?"

"Sorry.Nobilities."

"Yes. I am the heir to the throne of my father's kingdom."

"So what you are telling me is that you are a Prince?"

"Yes, Precisely."

"I think I am gonna faint!"

"Colvin are you alright?"

"Yeah, it's just that you are perfect!"

Valn lan laughed, he had been called a lot of things, but never perfect. This woman truly interested him.

"Colvin, you make me laugh. I feel so free around you...like I can talk about anything and not have to be proper and play political games. You are like a breath of fresh air my dear. I would really love to spend more time with you, may I have your permission tort yrt you?"

"You want to be my boyfriend?"

"Something like that, yes. I have never met a woman like you."

"Well thanks for the compliment! I would love to be your girlfriend."

Valerian decided he would test her limits to see if she would allow him to kiss her. He brushed his hand across her cheek, and she closed her eyes. Valerian slid his other hand up into her hair and pulled her close in a VERY passionate kiss. Colvin immediately responded and leaned into him, he could feel her chest brush up against him in their embrace. He broke the kiss sooner then he wanted to , remembering they had a time schedule to follow.

"Whatsa matter?"

"It isost ost 9pm, we must get to the chapel."

Valerian looked into her eyes and could plainly see that she wanted him.

"We will continue this later."

Colvin was still trying to catch her breath from the intensity of his kiss.

"Sarah, my love, would you care to dance with me?"

"There is no music!"

"We will make our own. This ballroom is enchanted to transform passion into music. Our pace will set the tone of the music."

"Interesting...Jareth, what would happen if we...ah...made love in here?"

"There would be some loud music emanating from this room!!" Jareth laughed.

Jareth reached for her hand and pulled her to the center of the ballroom. They stood silently facing each other, Sarah heard only the sound of her breath and her elevated heartbeat in her ears. As they started to move together, the music started slow at first, but like Jareth had said, as they moved faster so did the music. Soon, he was twirling her around the ballroom and she was resting her head on his chest. He smelled so good, that she never wanted the moment to end. She couldn't believe that in less than one hour she would become his wife and queen forever.

"Jareth, could I ask you something?"

"Of course, mve.\ve."

"Did you have anything to do with those dreams I was having before you and I were intimate?"

"A little...I must admit, I was a little impatient waiting for you to call on me."

Sarahghedghed. Somehow, that did not surprise her.

"Thank you. Those were the most wonderful dreams I have ever experienced. Granted I was a little confused by them at first, but then I remembered, you had offered me my dreams once...and then I realized how much I wanted those dreams to be real." "And now they are."

Sarah stopped the movement and looked deep within his eyes, searching for his soul.

"Jareth, I am so totally in love with you."

Before he could say anything, Sarah covered his mouth with hers. His kiss was so soft and sensual, full of energy. She felt so safe within the closure of his arms, she knew, deep down, that things couldn't be more right.

"Shall we go get married then?" Jareth asked lightheartedly.

"Yes, let's do it."
