Chapter Nine:" Daddy?"

Tori nuzzled against Totec, who slept soundly beside her. Holding her in his warm embrace. She stared at his face, And then lightly kissed his lips. Leaning her head ontop of his chest. And listened to the beating of his heart. She sighed to herself and nearly slept, when she heard a soft call to her from the labyrinth. She gently let go of Pinhead's hands and slid without him noticing from her lover's hold.

She slipped on her cloths and her boots, and followed the soft voice. She reached the outside and atop the labyrinth walls. She glanced down at the halls below. And then realized the voice was coming from the supposed location of Leviathen. Upon reaching the diamond she knelt before it in respect. Her head down, as the winds picked up and her name was called again and a chamber door slid open. Cautiously Tori walked forward. Inside the chambers, a small staircase lead upwards, she followed. Inside the walls, were of mortal flesh and small weapons.

She ignorred them of course and continued, she reached a door. ' Enter ' an ancient voice echoed to her.

She deeply inhaled and opened the door. And came into a room lit with candles. Around the room, more flesh and blood stained the floor.Somewhere around the walls were blood red carvings etched. Ahead of her a cloaked figure stared at her with pure white eyes underneath it's hood. It's old decomposing hands touched the arm rests of the throne.' Don't be afraid my child.' the old voice said to her.' please come closer.'

Tori slowly approached and knelt again, this time before the man who created this world and was worshipped as the Lord Of the Labyrinth." Grandfather Leviathen."Tori whispered.And looked up as the figure stood shakely from the throne, and uncovered his hood and revealed a deathly pale, old face, with curled ram horms on his head and long white hair.

He bent down to Tori and touched her face and tilted her chin so that she looked upon him,' My grandchild.Tori. At last I can finally look into the salvation of this realm.' He stated with satisfaction.

Tori slowly stood and was now face to face with Leviathen." Salvation?"

Leviathen nodded," As you can see this realm, it's darkness is beginning to dim. Soon it shall fade into nothing. Unless the clans can unite as one once again. You know when I was still in power. When the realm was as it was when I breathed life. War was only faught on Remus and the Earthly realm. The Labyrinth and it's inhabitants were once all at peace with eachother." He said.

" I don't understand my lord...." Tori shakely began.

Leviathen glanced down at her hands, and gently held them in his," You tremble. You must not be afraid." He whispered.Tori shook her head and lowered her eyes." No, no, do not look down from me. Tori."

When she did, Leviathen saw a tear in her eyes." I...how can I bring peace, when so many want to kill me? "

" It is up to you. Tori. Let Xipe Totec help you along the way. " He said to her.

Slowly, Tori entered her bedroom, confused and still frightened. And now she knew why Angelique denied the throne and passed it to her. The burden was far to great. Her stress even kept her from noticing Pinhead's absence from her bed. As she slowly sat down and burried her head in her hands." Your troubles are mine, did you know that?" Tori looked up and over,Pinhead stood with his hands behind his back, dressed, staring out the window.Tori stood and stood beside him.

" I don't understand. I saw him, Leviathen and he said that I would bring the peace back to the realm. But I don't know. Does he too believe that by marrying Shinzon...."

Pinhead turned to her,"....no....I believe he has something different in mind, though even I don't know. He knew that soon Tori would have to hear Shinzon's proposal of marriage in front of the entire courtroom. And then they would all try to persuade her to wed, not the one she loved but the one she had always feared. It had always been that in Hell the majority of the noble's votes ruled over the judgement of their ruler. If the people wished it in a group larger then the oppostition, then it is granted.

The uproar in the courtroon made Tori very nervous.She dressed in a long black velvet medievil gown. She looked at Pinhead, who comfortably sat on his throne, then she leaned over ," Why won't they suggest you and I wed?" She asked.

" They never approved of unions between cenobites and demons." He said then stared down and saw once again fear in her eyes. Just as the doors to the courtroom opened and Shinzon, with his Remans walked in.

He stopped in the middle of the room and spoke." Nobles of Hell!I come before you all once more,to stand before your future undoubted queen, as well as your current undisputed leader. To offer the most binding proposal of any.To unite Remus and the Labyrinth Hell for all eternity." He stared up at Tori," Bridget knows, Tori who her true father is. And that is I."

Tori closed her eyes and glanced down at the hem of her gown.All the while the nobles began to whisper.

" Whilest I was here the last time, Tori had offered herself to me. And I am here to become her king. As it is my right. I own her by law."

Totec and Angelique exchanged worried glances. And he was close to standing and revealed the truth. But he saw Tori's eyes she stared at him and he saw more fear. Not the fear of Shinzon, but the fear of war. It pained him more to let the Nobles see Shinzon as a better creature. But for Tori's silent plea he held back.

Tori at last sighed and stood" Shinzon of Remus. I have heard and considered your proposal... but I will need some time think more.Weither it would be right or not from my people.

Shinzon at first appeared disappointed, but took a slight bow." Take as long as you need."

" Princess!" Ine nobles's voice boomed." I think that considering the cirmsumstances with your attempted assasination it would be wise to wed such a powerful alley."

Tori stared down at the noble" How dare you speak of marriage Lord Surias, when you yourself have been twice divorsed and are on your third wife." She said bringing chuckles to the nobles. And even drew a light chuckle from Totec," Shinzon we would like to invite you to dinner this eveing."

" And it'll be my pleasure to attend." He took another slight bow, turned and made his way towards the doors." She is still alive, Vkruk. Why?" He asked the Reman walking at his side." I was a fool to trust a cenobite to do a job."

"Her shadow, Totec is her gaurdian." Vkruk answered." Why not kill her in her sleep?"

" Because it is him, who she joins the bed with." He said.

As soon as the last of the Remans left, Tori dismissed the nobles, she turned to Totec." Bridget knows."

Totec nodded just as Cindy shoved in roughly, Frank" I caught him trying to escape his Hell to see Julia." She said.

Totec glare and stood from the throne. He heard a little giggle not far. Behind the thrones, Bridget appeared

"Bridget. Sweety what are you doing in the throneroom?" Tori asked picking her daughter up.

" I wanted to hear your answer to daddy's question." Bridget said with a smile.

" Daddy?" Pinhead lifted a brow. ( I mean if he had one, it would look like it.)
