Chapter 9

Chapter 9

Obi-Wan was meditating for the first time in weeks…months. Their visit to Keldor was almost over; they would be leaving tomorrow. Part of Obi-Wan would be sorry to leave behind the beaches and the sound of the ocean, but another part of him was looking forward to being back on Telos, though he was reluctant to admit it.

Somehow, at some point, Telos had become…home.

The night Obi-Wan had gotten drunk and admitted, not only to himself but to Xanatos as well, that he might be able to love the older man, something had changed in their relationship. Xanatos seemed less restless. At times he almost seemed to purr in contentment as he stroked inside his young lover’s body or caressed the firm flesh of the younger man.

Obi-Wan found himself seeking out Xan’s embrace, where before Xanatos had always been the one to seek him out. This change both startled and pleased Xanatos, who always answered Obi-Wan’s need with breathtaking alacrity and skill. Simply put, Xan was a genius in bed. The physical relationship between them had always been satisfying, and for the first time the emotional relationship was beginning to keep pace. It was confusing for Obi-Wan.

To help him deal with his feelings, Obi-Wan had sought the comfort of meditation. Xanatos would be gone all morning so the young Jedi had quiet and privacy to meditate as long as he needed to.

The warm currents of the Force were comforting and familiar and Obi-Wan let his consciousness drift along as the Force willed it. He explored his growing feelings for the fallen Jedi and tried to hear any warning that the Force might be giving him, but it remained frustratingly silent on the issue. It seemed it would be up to him to decide what the fate of their relationship might be.

Obi-Wan felt himself increasingly tugged toward the blue-eyed lover who made him forget his own name. And though he had dreamed of Qui-Gon, felt his Master’s mouth moving over him with consummate skill, Obi-Wan somehow sensed that his fate did not lie in Qui-Gon’s arms. Whether he was meant to be with Xanatos he did not know.

But there was something else lingering in Xan’s haunted blue eyes, something sad and protective at the same time.

“There,” the Force whispered. “Your answer is there.”

Obi-Wan came out of mediation quickly, the voice of the Force still echoing in his mind. As if called by the Force itself, Xan appeared suddenly in the doorway, concern tightening his features. Without a word, he came and knelt in front of Obi-Wan.

He reached out and caressed Obi-Wan’s face and the young man turned his cheek into the callused palm and nuzzled there for a moment. Then he met Xan’s eyes, his own mercurial eyes intent.

“You must tell me why,” Obi-Wan murmured, watching Xan’s lips narrow.

“What do you mean?” Xan asked, but his confusion did not ring true in the Force, it jangled, a discordant note that Obi-Wan heard as clearly as he had heard Xan’s words.

Obi-Wan smiled and gently brushed away the black hair that covered the scar on Xan’s cheek. “You love me,” he said quietly. “But you did not claim me out of your love for me.”

“Of course I did,” Xan retorted, his tone defensive. “Why else would I take you?”

Obi-Wan frowned. “I don’t know, Xan.”

“You’re crazy,” Xan said, his voice now placating.

The younger man decided it was time to end the deception between them. “We cannot move forward in our relationship if we keep secrets from each other.”

Xan’s eyes sparked at the mention of their relationship. The words had a promising ring to them. But could he be completely honest with Obi-Wan? And did he want the boy to be completely honest with him?

The fallen Jedi leaned forward and tenderly kissed Obi-Wan. To his delight, the younger man’s lips parted instantly and his tongue reached out to rasp against Xan’s tongue. Obi-Wan gently suckled Xanatos’ tongue, drawing a groan from the older man.

Then Obi-Wan sat back on his heels and stared expectantly. He reached out and took Xan’s hands in his own. He clasped them tightly. “Xanatos, if you can’t trust me with the truth, then I cannot ever trust you with my heart.”

Xan’s hands clenched momentarily and he closed his eyes, his jaw working furiously. Then the hands relaxed and Obi-Wan waited. Xan’s impossibly blue eyes opened.

“Very well, then,” Xan said in a tone of defeat. “But…” he swallowed hard. “If you leave me, then remember I did what I did out of love for you,” he said. “And when I am done speaking, I have some questions for you.”

Obi-Wan nodded. “That is fair, and I’ll do my best to answer them.”

“I had a vision,” Xan said.

“A vision?” Obi-Wan asked, frowning in confusion.

Xan nodded. “I had a vision of you… in exile…” He blinked suddenly. “You were…you were alone, Obi-Wan. The Jedi Order no longer existed.”

Obi-Wan withdrew his hands and came abruptly to his feet. “I don’t believe that!”

Xan stood up as well and put his hands on Obi-Wan’s shoulders. “It’s true, Obi-Wan. Something is going to happen that will destroy the Order,” he said. “I don’t know how or why or who is responsible, but it WILL happen!”

Obi-Wan shook his head, denying the words, even the mere possibility. “I can’t believe that, Xan!”

The older man cursed and grabbed Obi-Wan’s face, shaking him lightly for emphasis. “IT WILL HAPPEN, Obi-Wan. In YOUR lifetime!”

“That’s impossible!”

“You were the last of your kind,” Xan whispered against Obi-Wan’s cheek. “And you were utterly destroyed… You were betrayed by someone. I couldn’t see who, but I felt your heartbreak.”

“I still don’t understand,” Obi-Wan whispered, completely overwhelmed.

“I could not change the fate of the Order, but I could change yours,” Xan said urgently, pulling Obi-Wan into his embrace. “And so I took you – I took you away from the Jedi and the sad fate that awaited you.”

Obi-Wan stared up at Xanatos. “You took me… to SAVE me?”

“Yes, beloved,” Xan murmured, his lips moving down Obi-Wan’s throat. “I had to save you, to keep you from living out your days a sad and defeated man, old before your time.”

“But-”

Obi-Wan’s words were cut off by the sweet pressure of Xan’s mouth as he plundered Obi-Wan’s warmth. Suddenly desperate to make sure he was still alive and young and content, he clutched wildly at Xan’s shoulders and threw him to the bed.

This time it was Obi-Wan who was the aggressor, growling as he ripped of Xan’s clothing, too impatient to remove them without ripping them. Then he stood up and tore his own clothes from his body in the same manner and then threw himself down on Xan’s body, grinding his raging erection against Xan’s burgeoning one.

He nipped and licked at Xan’s throat before traveling down to his nipples where he bit down hard, drawing a gasp from Xan as he arched up into the younger man.

Obi-Wan whispered into Xan’s ear. “I’m going to fuck you, Xan.” His voice was a purr of sultry promise. “I’m going to fuck you so hard that you won’t remember that damn vision anymore. All you’ll be able to think about is me, stroking inside of you so deep that you’ll think I’m part of you.”

Xan could only hiss his answer. “Yes…”

Obi-Wan pushed Xan’s legs back toward his chest and gave the older man a grin that had Xan panting with lust. Obi-Wan put one of his fingers playfully into his own mouth, sucking it loudly, making Xan remember how hot and perfect that mouth felt on his cock.

“Gods yes,” Xan growled.

Then Obi-Wan put the finger to Xan’s entrance and slowly pushed it inside of him. Xan’s hips arched and he squirmed, trying to impale himself further on it.

“Greedy…” Obi-Wan admonished him before stroking a second finger inside.

“Yes, I am,” Xan agreed shamelessly.

Obi-Wan had a look of intense concentration as he worked his fingers in and out of Xan’s body. He soon added a third and savored the whimpers Xan made below him. The older man arched up, his face taut with need.

”Gods, Obi-Wan,” he panted. “I need you IN me.”

With a groan of surrender, Obi-Wan pushed Xan’s legs back until they framed his pale face. Quickly calling to his hand their favorite oil, he slicked his cock and pushed into Xan’s willing body in one smooth stroke.

Their mating was wild and fierce. Obi-Wan thrust into Xan deep and hard, drinking in the sounds his lover made.

Xan arched up and wrapped his legs around Obi-Wan’s waist, drawing him deeper still. Obi-Wan wrapped his fist around Xan’s cock and stroked it hard.

“Come for me, Xan” he purred, remembering Xan’s words to him the first night Xan had claimed him.

Xan opened his eyes and gave Obi-Wan a triumphant smile and then his seed spurted hot over Obi-Wan’s hand, driving the younger man to his own climax on the next stroke.

Obi-Wan shuddered as he lowered himself into Xan’s embrace, still buried deep within his lover’s body. Xan moved his hands down Obi’s back in long, soothing strokes as they recovered.

“I love you, Obi-Wan,” he whispered.

“I know,” the younger man replied, sighing contentedly.

Xan’s questions were still singing in the back of his mind, but now was not the time. He did not want to shatter the peaceful feeling of being in Obi-Wan’s arms and knowing that the young man was falling in love, whether he realized it or not.

The two fell asleep, untroubled by dreams or ghosts from the past.
