Author's Note :
This isin't in the Jack/Will folder cause dispite the end of chapter
four of to Ride the Waves it's not a J/W fic.  That was a plot
devise.... seriously.... no really... ok, ok, I couldn't get my mind
out of the gutter without writing at least one slash scene.  It's
still not a J/W fic (and I haven't figured out how to get a fic into
the folders either)

Recap style="font-size: 12pt;" lang="EN-US"> (for the people to lazy to read
the first
part)

Will
and Jack are
aboard the
lang="EN-US">Pearl style="font-size: 12pt;" lang="EN-US"> after escaping from Port Royals
jail with
the help of an in-a-trance-Elizabeth.
She then collapsed.  Jack was in
prison
for being a pirate, Will for attacking style="font-size: 12pt;" lang="EN-US">Elizabeth style="font-size: 12pt;" lang="EN-US">.  He
didn’t, but we don’t know who did.  At
the end we find out that a couple of Aztec gods were playing with Jack
and
Will, but again we don’t know why.  We
also know that Jack has a sister (who won’t admit it unless very drunk)
in the
form of Captain Cassandra Lark of the Diamond Moon.

style="font-size: 12pt;" lang="EN-US">

Ship
on the
Horizon.

Will
shivered in
the chill night air, as he held the ship's course.
It was late or maybe early and he was tired
and sore.  The last thing he wanted to do
was spend the night at the
style="font-size: 12pt;" lang="EN-US">Pearl style="font-size: 12pt;" lang="EN-US">'s wheel.  Unfortunately,
he didn't have a choice.  For the last
six weeks, they had been hounded almost constantly by the British fleet
and
Jack was convinced that one of the ships they had fought yesterday was
part of
the North
Atlantic

fleet.
With a sigh, Will leaned against the wheel and let the
style="font-size: 12pt;" lang="EN-US">Pearl style="font-size: 12pt;" lang="EN-US"> support his weight. style="">
His shoulder throbbed and the red stain on his shirt stated
loader then
words that he had not passed through the confrontation untouched. style="">  Jack had taken a shot through his side and
was resting.  AnaMaria was helping Gibbs
with the rest of the wounded.  There were
twenty-three, and four dead.  Not for the
first time, Will wondered if they were cursed... again.

In his
cabin, Jack
shifted again, trying to keep his weight off of his side.
It hurt.
A lot.

"Bloody
hell." he gasped as a jolt of pain went through him, *Good thing the
whelp
isn't in here or he'd have already gone to find Gibbs*.  Although
he would never admit it, he was
worried.  The British determination to
capture him had become almost an obsession and the first night on
board...  He quite deliberately dragged his
mind away
from that.  It hadn't happened
again.  Neither of them had mentioned it,
discussed it or anything else.  They were
both pretending it hadn't happened and Jack was quite happy to leave it
that
way.  Something about that night
continued to annoy him, a niggling little voice that kept insisting
that he
would never have broken his word to Bill without some encouragement or
a lot
more rum.  Something about that night had
been very wrong, he just wasn’t sure what.

And
now, for the
second time in a week they had been attacked.
It was getting very aggravating... annoying almost.
Exactly what the problem was he wasn't
sure.  Most of his life
he had been hunted, but never like this, not even when he had stolen
that
admiral's boat, ship had the pursuit been this intense.
Gut instinct told him there was something
else to this and his gut instinct was rarely wrong.
With a sigh he levered himself up and climbed
to his feet, wincing at the shot of pain that accompanied the movement. style="">
He wasn't getting any rest and he was
bored.

Will
wasn't
particularly surprised when Jack joined him on at the helm. style="">
Heds have to let
Cotton's parrot know it had won the sweepstake as to how long Jack
would remain
a bed.  He still threw the captain a
dirty look, "You should be resting."

"I can
rest
here."

"You're
not
meant to be on your feet."

"Listen
whelp, I know what I should be doing and I know what I am doing. style="">
I don't need you to nursemaid me." Jack
said, just a little defensively.

"You
want a
nursemaid?  Sorry, not my job.
I can get AnaMaria for you if you
want?"  Jack looked wounded and Will
laughed, turning his gaze back to the sea.
Suddenly he started cursing.
There, just coming out from behind an island was another ship.

Jack
watched with
a growing sense of doom as the ship approached.
Something was familiar about it, but he couldn't quite work out
what.  "Rouse what's left of the
crew and tell them to man the cannons.  We’ll
try to out run them first."  Will
nodded and left the wheel to Jack, shouting orders as he went.le=\le="">
Then suddenly, a white flag appeared on the
other ship and Jack let out a yell of delight,

"I
know that
ship!  That’s the Moon."
