Beth stretched as she exited the cabin. Morning sunshine was just beginning to filter over the tops of the trees, making the lake sparkle. Warm arms enfolded her from behind. They were bare.
“Kevin! Put your shirt on!” She warned with a sly chuckle.
Kevin stood beside her with a big grin on his face. He was a college football Captain, and looked every inch the All-American sports hero.
*And speaking of inches*… Beth thought, grinning as she pulled him into her for a deep kiss.
As they tangled tongues, Kevin groaned. NOT a sound of pleasure either. Beth pulled away and looked over her shoulder in the direction Kevin was gazing.
Jesse was coming up the path from the Camper’s Cabins. Beth felt an icy stab in her chest as she appraised the petite…*fucking short*….thin….*skinny-butt*….brunette…..*mouse-haired* young woman. Beth hated Jesse for all the obvious reasons. And despite Kevin’s disparaging groan, it was damn clear to Beth that he’d certainly had his eyes open while he was supposed to be kissing her.
“Morning Jesse!” Beth called out in sugary I-fucking-hate-you tones.
Jesse joined them on the porch of the counselor’s cabin. She looked exhausted. Not that Beth was going to give her any sympathy.
“How was the night watch?” Kevin asked.
Jesse waved her hand. “It was pretty quiet, but I think there’s a group of rowdies out there somewhere. I heard them a couple of times, but I think they’re far enough away. Don’t think they’ll wander into camp anytime.”
“They shouldn’t. Most of the local boys steer clear of Crystal Lake because of the legends.”
Jesse nodded, she’d heard of the tall tale of the immortal demon that haunted the area looking for people to slaughter. The legend of course had grown up around the real events of Pamela and her son Jason Voorhees.
With a great yawn, Jesse said, “Well….thank god for legends. Should keep those guys out of our hair.”
Beth gazed at Jesse chillingly. Figured the bitch wouldn’t take the notion of a serial killer seriously.
“You turning in?” She asked, as she tried not to appear too eager for Jesse to bug off.
“Yup. Don’t forget about Tommy.” Jesse said as she headed inside.
Beth’s stomach curled at the mention of Tommy. He was “special” as Jesse liked to put it. Fuckin’ Retard was more like it. Why the Camp Director had seem fit to allow such a frail deformed kid to attend the camp with a bunch of normal kids was beyond her.
Kevin didn’t have too much trouble with Tommy. He was a sweet enough kid. No doubt he was going to be the one to put Tommy’s helmet on….seeing as Beth refused to go near the boy. Jesse had been furious when the helmet had been forgotten a few days ago. She reminded them all very loudly that one of Tommy’s more serious problems was an incomplete skull. She had flushed as she’d reminded them that one bad fall without the helmet…at that point Kevin had zoned out, preferring to notice how Jesse’s pert breasts had been heaving and shivering as she raged. *That was sooo hot!*
Kevin figured Tommy was here at the re-opening (again) of Camp Crystal Lake as a means of trying to restore public faith in the ability of the Camp Counselors.
He gave Beth one last smooch as he headed for the Boy’s Cabin.
