Labyrinth II: Jareth’s Revenge

Toby's Strange Adventure.
AKA Labyrinth II: Jareth's Revenge

Plot: Toby wishes his sister Sarah away to the Labyrinth unintentionally, so he has to go save his sister. However, Jareth is not so willing to give Sarah up and will do anything to stop Toby from saving his sister. Jareth/Sarah, Toby/????

Warnings: This is a slightly evil Jareth fan fiction, so if you do not like the idea of Jareth being a bad person at all, then you better not read. Also, there's a original character in this story who's gay, so you may find hints of Slashy themes although there probably won't be any actual gay sex scenes... if you don't like gay characters, then again, you should go somewhere else then.

Gavin picked up the shattered glass bits of what had once been a goblet, as he looked up at his fuming master.
He sighed inwardly, as it seemed that The King Jareth was once again obsessing over this Sarah person, whoever she was.

Well, He was not completely ignorant of who she was, exactly.... Many of the goblins and the other creatures of the labyrinth had told him what had happened before his arrival here in the Labyrinth.
It seems like Sarah had gotten here the same way he had, by wishing her sibling away to this strange place. As she solved the labyrinth, it seemed that she had gotten more farther than anybody had ever done, thus impressing the Goblin King. In all of his efforts to stop her, he had somehow fallen in love with her... and even made her an offer to be her slave if she did as he said, to become his.
Gavin would have taken that offer in a heartbeat, considering that Jareth was not that bad looking and he was gay. However, Sarah did not and actually managed to win her way out of the labyrinth, earning back her sibling too in the process.

However, this had an adverse effect on The King... he had supposedly been humiliated in front of his royal subjects when Sarah not only managed to defeat him and the labyrinth, she rejected his offer. It was Gavin's opinion that the Goblin King, who was used to having his way, was not used to being rejected... and on top of that, he was actually feeling something he had not had before-heartbreak.

So Jareth was often going on about how Sarah was at fault for this strange pain he felt, and not to mention the fact that he had to work hard to earn back all of the respect and fear of his subjects...
Therefore, on days such as today, he was once again trying to think something up that he could do to get Sarah back into the Labyrinth so that he could have her revenge on her.

Jareth paused, watching Gavin work. Finally, he asked of the young teenage boy, "Gavin... how long have you been here again?"

Gavin paused in cleaning up all the glass bits to think. "Hmm. I would say almost half a year now."
Gavin had arrived here in the labyrinth by having an argument with his big sister, whom he had wished away to the Goblins. However, he was not exactly a very clever person, so he did not even get close to the Goblin Castle when the time was almost up. So he had to make a deal with the Goblin king-He would stay here as Jareth's servant in return for letting his sister return back to his world.
The side effect of this was that everyone he were connected with in the world he used to live in would forget all about him completely, forever. All save for the Sister he had saved, who would recall him now and then within a dream about a certain Labyrinth.

Gavin didn't really have any problems with this, as seeing he never really got on well with his family.... he doubted there was even any real love between him and his family, so he didn't have any hard times letting go. After all, why stay with a family that tortured you verbally and physically for being gay? That had been what his argument with his sis had been about, actually.... His sister was completely convinced that he could stop just being gay by going to some training camp, but he didn't think it would be that easy at all.

Jareth nods. "So by now you know everything about Sarah that I've told you and what others have told you, eh?"
Gavin nods slowly. "I would say so.... what is it that you want of me, Sire?"
"I've run out of ideas on what to do about my Sarah problem. Would you have any suggestions for me?"

To be honest, Jareth did not really run out of ideas... but he was mildly curious as to see what his newly acquired servant boy (who oddly enough didn't seem to turn into any mythical creatures, and remained a human), would have to say on Sarah.

Gavin cleared his throat, a little surprised. Jareth was actually ASKING him, for his opinion. Usually the Goblin King ignored him half the time, and never really spoke to him that much expect for giving him orders.
"I wouldn't know what to suggest unless you showed me her, and how she was doing in her current situation in that crystal ball of yours..." Gavin mumbled, hoping his answer would not disappoint the King. In addition, he was somewhat curious to see as this infamous Sarah looked like.

Jareth raised his eyebrows, and Gavin's heart felt as if it was sinking right into his stomach. He knew that he could not probably hold Jareth's interest or even respect on anything.
However, to his surprise the goblin king merely nodded, holding out one hand in which one of his balls appeared. There were images that seem to grow inside the ball, until the both of them could see clearly, what was going on in Sarah's life....
**************************************************************

Sarah was tired, overworked and frustrated. She was tired of this life she was trying to lead, overworked because she was in at least 3 Broadway plays.... One of them she managed to get the leading character, but the other two she was just an understudy for the main actors.
Moreover, most of all, she was completely frustrated thanks to her brother Toby. They had been arguing about many stupid things once again, and it was getting harder to manage and help raise Toby, since he had now entered his teenage years.

She almost yearned for the simple times just right after she had won over the king and his labyrinth, when she had actually started to get along with her stepmother and everyone else in the family. Back then Toby was not an angst-ridden teenager who was doing stupid things to get attention from his own peers at school, but a cute toddler boy.

Sarah had grown up so much ever since then.... She was now a beautiful woman, 27 years old now. In addition, everything in the whole time she had grown up had happened a lot too. For instance, her stepmother, whom she had actually started to think fondly of as her real mother, had gotten into a tragic train accident in which she was one of the many people who died.
She took this news very hard, but not as hard as Toby had.... Especially since she had been the only mother Toby had ever, known... and it did not help any when Sarah's own father had died of lung cancer, due to smoking too much, years later.

So it was up to Sarah afterwards to take care of her own little brother, and try her best to help him though the tough times. It seems that she did not do enough, as she could had though, for Toby grew up to be one of the many angst-ridden teenagers in school. Toby had grown up to be a handsome 16-year-old boy, with blond hair and navy blue eyes.
Sarah felt that Toby had so much going for him, if he did not seem so set on getting into trouble all the time. It seemed like he was picking all the wrong friends, and doing skateboard tricks on public property to get attention from his peers, but also getting him into trouble with the school, which did not allow skateboards on school property.

One of their arguments was often about that... on why he could not behave in school and skateboard only after school hours. It always ended with a lot of yelling; with Toby's words that Sarah was not his mother at all, so that she could not tell him what to do because of that very fact.
******************************************************************
The crystal ball practically shook in Jareth's hand, as there was the loud slamming door with Sarah yelling: "Toby! Don't you dare slam the door on me! We're not finished talking!"
There was loud rock music afterwards, obviously to drown out Sarah's frustrated yelling.

Gavin sighed, saying something clever, without meaning to. "They remind me so much of when me and my sister argue. You could plant the idea in Toby's head to wish Sarah here, couldn't you? That way if he loses, Sarah's yours forever whenever she likes it or not."

Jareth's eyebrows rose at this suggestion. That idea had not actually occurred to him, in using Toby to get Sarah here...Most of his ideas usually had ways in getting Sarah herself to make a wish, although in trying to get Sarah to make a wish that would land her here that was the hard part. He had been thinking so hard, thinking up all sorts of clever ways to get Sarah here... when the most simple, obvious situation had been right in front of him... using Toby to get Sarah here.
Gavin had been the one to point that out, when he should had seen that obvious answer in front of him.

The Goblin king chuckled, patting Gavin's head. "You actually do have some good ideas... maybe you won't be so useless after all. I think I know how I can plant that idea into Toby's head... That book of Sarah's... she hasn't gotten rid of that."

Gavin beamed, glad at the Goblin King's praise.
*******************************************************************

Toby bolted the locks on his door, so that Sarah could not get into his room when he wanted to get away from his annoying sister.
He turned up his radio, and the rock music blasted out.... He recognized the song's singer as one of Sarah's favorite singers, David Bowie. Toby could not understand for the life of him why Sarah seemed so smitten with David Bowie. He was not that good-looking, even if he did age well in appearance... had a decent voice though.

Listening to loud rock music was not going to dull his anger though so Toby paced around the bedroom, looking for something to do. He decided on tidying up his room a little, by tossing his dirty clothes on the ground into the empty corner by his desk.
As he passed his desk, something caught his eye.

"What is this doing here?" Toby picked up a small red book in curiosity, and then read the cover: "The Labyrinth".

That title had a familiar ring to it, even though for a moment there Toby did not recognize it right away. Then it occurred to him.
"Oh yeah, didn't Sarah use to tell me stories of how she wished me away into the Labyrinth with that king, and had to rescue me?" Toby thought aloud, and then he chuckled. "Man, those were great times when she told me those stories at bedtime...."

He grew serious again, sighing. "But how did this get into here? She was probably in here, snooping around AGAIN...."
Toby sat down at his desk, flipping though the little red book. It was then a chapter caught his eye.

'Chapter 20, Poor prince and his wretched sister
+++++
the tale of the Labyrinth does not end here. The princess got along with her family for a time, having learned her lessons in the Labyrinth. However, in time, She returned to her old self, bossing her brother around in a way where the poor prince were not given any peace to be by himself.
Their parents died, so she was given rights to raise the brother by herself, and thus only started with some of the poor boy's troubles....'

"How odd... it's like this chapter was custom made to fit my life.... Almost." Toby mumbled to himself, and then read some more.

'It was then the goblins appeared before the prince, chortling and jeering at him.
"I see that the Princess has forgotten her lessons that were learned in the Labyrinth, and have become an cruel princess again. Come on, come on... you know you want to teach her a lesson! Wish her away, so that the Goblin King may take her away and teach her a lesson she'll never forget!"
The Prince was suspicious. "I know of you goblins, my sister has warned me of your trickery, of your cruel nature. I love my sister; I do not want any harm done to her. How do I know you will not harm her?"
The goblins danced around the prince, howling with laughter. "We don't hurt people that's been wished away to us, fool! They are simply turned into different creatures.... Most of them turn into goblins, just like us! She would learn humility by working for us as our eternal servant, and you would never need to hear her eternal nagging ever again..."
The prince was sorely tempted to wish her away then...'

Toby chuckled. "I know how that prince feels...."
It was then there was loud banging at his door. "Turn that music down! And I'm not done talking to you... come on, we need to have a serious discussion about your future!"

Toby groaned. "God! I really wish the Goblins would take you away, Sarah! You are so bloody annoying!"

It was then something odd happened. The lights in his bedroom started flickering, and then everything turned dark. The radio even went completely silent.
"Great, what I need... a power blackout." Toby sighed, as he inched towards his door in the darkness. He undid the bolts, and went out of his bedroom.
"Sarah? I need a flashlight...." Toby called out in the darkness, but got no answer.
It was then the lights turned themselves back on; But Sarah was nowhere to be seen.
He looked all over in the apartment that they lived in, but no sight of her. He could swear that he heard quiet snickering and the sound of scurrying tiny feet behind him, but every time he turned around, he did not see anything.
"Come on, Sarah! This isn't funny...." Toby yelled, trying to fight the panic growing inside him.

It was then he heard a loud scratching coming from one of the windows, so he walked towards the window and pulled apart the curtains. He gasped when he saw a snowy white owl flapping at the window, trying to get into the apartment.
To his surprise, the lock on the window turned by itself, and the window flew open letting the owl into the apartment.

Toby unintentionally let out a girly shriek as the owl flew at him, and he shielded himself from any possible attacks that could come. None came, so he peeked though his arms... and saw a blond man standing there rather smugly, dressed in a strange-looking outfit. It was then something finally derived a conclusion in his mind, and he stared at Jareth in disbelief.

"No way... You can't be the Goblin king...you're just a story Sarah told me at bedtime when I was younger!" Toby said loudly, trying to convince himself that it was not so.

"Oh but I am..." The amused Goblin King said, "and I've come to offer you something..."

What do you think of this idea so far? Reviews are appreciated...
After all, I will not keep on with this story unless I know people like this idea of Toby wishing Sarah away to the Labyrinth...
Moreover, what do you think of the Gavin character I also inserted into the story? He will play a vital role in all of this...
