First Among Commanders

Chapter One
Riddick bent down and picked up the body of Kyra gently not caring about the Necromongers that bowed down in front of him, he had a friend to bury he would worry about the Necros later.
"My Lord where are you going?" Vaako stood up stepping in front of the new Lord Marshall, true he tried to kill the former Lord Marshall only because he wasn't what his people needed. And because he listened to his faithless wife knowing she only wanted him to become Lord Marshall for the power she didn't care about the faith. However he knew the Furyan was a killer, he was brave and smart and wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty the kind of leader the Necromongers needed. Vaako wouldn't let Riddick leave they needed him, he would be a great leader. Without a Lord Marshall the Necromonger way would fall.
"Get out of my way Necro." Riddick growled at the half-dead man that brought Krya here in the first place, but he couldn't blame the man for her death. Kyra made her choice the Necromongers wouldn't have forced her to join he knew that still Kyra wouldn't want to die either. "Where I'm going is none of your business, Vaako."
"Allow me to prepare a ship for you, Lord Marshall." Vaako knew Riddick wanted to bury the girl and understood the feelings the breeder had for her. However he wasn't about to let the new Lord Marshall leave on his own knowing Riddick wouldn't return and Vaako couldn't let that happen not if the Necromongers wanted to survive. "I shall join you along with our best guards."
Riddick smirked to himself it sounded like Vaako wanted to make sure he came back. "I thought you'll be glad to see me go Vaako? Then you would become the Lord Marshal, isn't that what you wanted?"
"No, I only want what is best for the Necromongers and that is you, my Lord." Vaako leaned closer to Riddick. "It was my wife that wanted the power not I."
That Riddick could believe the woman was a beautiful snake and a dangerous one that would do anything for power. He grinned when he saw Vaako's wife trying to make her way to them. She didn't happy at all and that look on her face made her look like the snake she was. "Have a commander you trust the most to watch things until we return." With that said Riddick walked out leaving his First Among Commanders to handle everything and his wife. He had to feel sorry for the guy being married to that thing.
Vaako watched as Riddick left and his wife made her way to his side her face red with anger. He hated the woman even before they were married. The reason Vaako married her was because of the orders from the former Lord Marshall. "Dame Vaako."
"How can you be so stupid." Dame Vaako hissed in anger. "You should be Lord Marshall not some breeder."
"It is done there is nothing I can do." In truth he wanted to do nothing he never wanted to lead he was happy being the right-hand and Vaako was sure Riddick would keep him as his First. "Please excuse me I have orders from our Lord Marshall."
Dame Vaako grabbed her husband's arm before he could walk away from her. "What orders? Where are you going with the Lord Marshall?"
Vaako looked down at his wife. "That is none of your concern." He shook her off and followed Riddick out the doors he had business to take care of and a Lord Marshall to please.
Dame Vaako screamed in anger as her husband walked away. He was going to pay for ignoring her.
